Macan GTS completes the compact SUV range Porsche’s sportiest Macan will be in Australia early in 2020 boasting a 2.9 litre V6 bi-turbo engine now delivering 15kW more power (280kW). This combined with the PDK dualclutch transmission and Sport Chrono package, means zero to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.

his performance has earned the Macan the GTS badge – not only for its speed, but for its specially tuned Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) damping control system. The chassis has been lowered 15 millimetres for greater lateral dynamics and adaptive air suspension is optionally available lowering it a further 10 millimetres. Enhancing the interior’s sporty and elegant characteristics are high quality materials such as Carmine Red or Crayon leather upholstery, emphasised by Alcantara on the seat centre panels. Console armrests and door panels are highlighted with the use of brushed aluminium panels throughout.

A multifunction leather sports steering wheel with shift paddles is standard, as are sports seats with side bolsters. Comfort seats with 14-way adjustment are available. The new Macan GTS is equipped with a multitude of country-specific standard equipment including driver memory package, digital radio, Apple CarPlay with Siri voice recognition, ParkAssist with reversing camera and Surround View, privacy glass, side airbags in the rear, an extended 75-litre fuel tank, and auto-dimming mirrors.
