Plating fee as well as Hotel food and beverage are subject to 25% taxable Service Charge and 8.25% Sales Tax.
Room rental is subject to 25% taxable Service Charge and 6% Occupancy Tax.
Plating Fee applies to the per person guarantee or the actual headcount (including children), whichever is greater.
Group is responsible for the food and beverage minimum for the contracted space. Plating fee as well as hotel food and beverage contribute to the minimum (service charge, tax or any restaurant charges do not apply).
Outside catering is contracted solely by the client and exists exclusively between the parties of the client and the vendor (caterer). It is the client’s responsibility to contract a vendor, to ensure they are approved by the hotel, select a menu, and arrange payment with the caterer. It also falls upon the client (event’s host) or caterer to deliver the Outside Catering Form and Liability
Waiver for Outside Catering to the caterer and to ensure that the vendor provides all the necessary permits and proof of insurance to the hotel.
Group must hire a professional Event Planning service to coordinate, at a minimum, all vendors’ needs on event day.
Please note that outside food and beverages are generally not permitted at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa. However, we understand and respect the importance of certain religious, cultural, and ethnic traditions. For such special events, we are pleased to accommodate outside catering to ensure your celebration honors these significant customs.
Alcohol and bartending service. Hotel must provide all alcohol and bar service for the event due to liquor licenses.
Event planning services. Professional event planner is required, day of service at a minimum.
Equipment and décor for special setups or extraordinary formats that would deplete the Hotel’s present in house equipment to the point of requiring rental of an additional supply to accommodate Host’s needs.
Caterer must have approved food safe mode of transportation with the ability to maintain temperatures for both hot and cold items.
A signed waiver, proof of liability insurance certification, and necessary licenses are required from the outside caterer and are to be presented to the hotel no later than 60 days prior to event date for approval.

Caterer will not be granted access to Resort Kitchen or any cooking equipment. Food must come prepared and ready to serve.
Hotel requires a minimum of one (1) English speaking food runner per buffet. For example, four (4) buffets would require four (4) food runners. This will maintain standards and ensure food quality. Prior to the event, food runners will assist and confirm food setup, while during the event will assist with replenishing items as well as any additional assistance our banquet team requires in back of house.
In the event the banquet staff assists on food running to ensure service levels are maintained, a labor fee of $75 per hour, per server (minimum of 4 hours) will be charged. All charges will post to the Group Master Account. Any tastings for the caterer food will be done at an off site location. It is the responsibility of the caterer to secure a location.
Caterer is responsible to provide a list of individuals who will be on property the day of the event. On site contact
will be required to provide cell phone number. Caterer is responsible for removing and cleaning any item provided including but not limited to: insert pans, food containers, storage items, serving utensils, or any dishes used for the event and not provided by hotel. Cleaning fee of $1,000 per hour will apply for any debris left behind and will be charged to the Group Master Account.
All outside caterers must bring their own food service carts. Resort cannot provide carts for any rental or food equipment.
Any damage determined by banquets or security will be the responsibility of the Group and applicable charges for labor and repair will be billed to the Group Master.
