AU PAYS DU SOLEIL LEVANT
« Where have all the flowers gone ? », chantait Marlene Dietrich. Au musée Fragonard de Grasse, la créatrice Carolyn Quatermaine semble, jusqu’au 15 avril 2018, lui répondre via son exposition « Where flowers dream ». Photos, dessins, étoffes, objets… Elle a composé sur place une rêverie impressionniste. Une ode vibrante au flower power.
Autour d’eux flotte un parfum de fascination. Guerriers et esthètes, ils étaient engagés sur la voie du bun (culture) et du bu (art militaire). Incarnation emblématique du Japon, à Nice, le musée des Arts asiatiques fend l’armure de ces grands seigneurs, à travers une riche exposition : « Samouraï, de la guerre à la voie des arts ». Jusqu’au 7 janvier 2018.

A whiff of fascination floats around them. Warriors and aesthetes, they were committed following the ‘twofold path’ of bun (culture) and bu (warfare). An iconic embodiment of Japan here in Nice. The Musée des Arts Asiatiques cleaves through the armour of these great warrior lords, in a fascinating exhibition: “Samurai, from war to the path of art”. Until 7 January 2018.
