Dear Friends of Omaha Performing Arts,

Welcome to HAMILTON!

Our mission at Omaha Performing Arts includes bringing the best touring productions to Omaha – and that includes the latest hits and beloved blockbusters from Broadway! There’s no question that HAMILTON immediately became one of those memorable and iconic productions for all of us and truly became a cultural phenomenon. We’re just as honored and delighted to welcome the show today as we were the first time it came to the Orpheum in 2019.

HAMILTON has so much to offer, and I think there are always new discoveries no matter how often you sit in the audience. Each viewing reveals hidden layers –details in the music, surprises in the storytelling, nuances in the choreography, or emotional reactions that feel new and leave us captivated. And it’s exciting to see a new cast realize each role in their own way while still maintaining the top-notch quality of the production and the important impact of the story.

The messages from the show and the timeless relevance of the period it represents in history continue to be as important today as ever, and we’re proud to welcome the cast and company of HAMILTON back to Omaha.

Whether you’re seeing the show for the first time or you’re a repeat attendee, we’re glad you’ve joined us!

Enjoy the show!

Fun Fact: For Andrew Iverson (Assistant Props with the HAMILTON tour), the show’s stop at the Orpheum is a bit of a homecoming! Growing up, he lived in Fremont for five years and Millard for two, where he attended Cather Elementary School. He’s been with HAMILTON since August and has come through Omaha on other shows many times since 2008.

Omaha Performing Arts acknowledges that its venues are currently on the traditional lands of the Omaha, Winnebago, Ponca, Missouria, Ojibwa, Otoe, Ottawa, Osage, Kansa, Quapaw and Lakota nations past and present. We honor the land and take this opportunity to thank the original caretakers for their stewardship and conservation since time immemorial, continuing through today. We recognize our responsibility to continue to listen to, engage with, and support Tribal Governments, Indigenous Peoples, and their inherent sovereignty.

The arts are the language of the soul.

Like painter Robert Henri, we understand that art transcends words. Whether it ’s a voice on the stage or a brush on the canvas, the arts allow us to share our humanity with the world.
