In the Kitchen Recipe (using palm oil)

Poulet Nyembwe is a flagship recipe in Gabonese cuisine. ‘Nyembwe’ means “palm oil” in Myene. Ingredients for 4 people: - Palm oil - 1 whole smoked chicken - 3 cloves of garlic - 1 chicken stock cube - 2 peppers - Pepper - 3 laurel leaves - 2 onions

- Salt

Cooking method: 1. Heat the palm oil in a pot. 2. Add the diced onions and garlic. 3. Stir and leave to cook a little. 4. Next, add the stock, laurel and a little salt. 5. When the nyembwé begins to thicken, add the pieces of smoked chicken. Stir regularly over a low flame for 15 to 20 minutes. 6. Add the water and allow to cook for another 15 minutes. 7.
