As young leaders, you are often wrapped up in the day-to-day operations of your job and do not always give much thought to the overall industry or economic conditions, yet this knowledge is important. This presentation will explore why inflation will decline below 2 percent in 2024 and deflation could emerge as a more significant risk. Sixty years of historical data will be used to illustrate that interest rates always move lower at the end of the Fed’s tightening cycle and the yield curve steepens. The presentation will clarify why the recent sharp increase in long-term yields does not necessarily signal the start of a bond bear market, despite the unprecedented rise in US debt. We will also delve into the potential consequences of the Fed's ongoing Quantitative Tightening (QT) as well as the impending credit crunch on the economic landscape.
As technology is becoming increasingly embedded in our society, it is causing seismic shifts across many industries but especially within financial services Artificial Intelligence is at a point where it can massively improve efficiency but can seem out of reach for mid-size and community banks How can your organization compete against the seemingly unlimited technology resources of the largest banks while still maintaining and enhancing your competitive advantage of personalized, white glove service? With the help of AI technologies, community banks have successfully been able to strengthen relationships, reduce churn, increase deposits, and improve ROI enterprise-wide by utilizing the data they already have at their fingertips and your organization can, too
