ATM Security Working Group, Fifth Third Bank

Like many banks around the country, and here in Ohio, Fifth Third Bank has experienced multiple attacks on ATM's in which the perpetrators have embraced more brazen methods to attack ATM's, inflicting direct and indirect costs upon the bank. In response, the bank has initiated a team to explore new ideas and methods to protect the physical ATM's, both island and in wall locations. A panel of those tasked with developing new and creative attempts to prevent these attacks will share their experiences, analysis and creative thought processes being utilized to address this continuing peril. Questions encouraged as the team helps you to enhance your bank's ATM security strategy.

David Anderson, Principal and Cybersecurity Consultant, CLA Beware! Attendees will gain an understanding of: attacks on locks including picking, bypasses and decoding; attacks on doors including latch slipping, crash bar attacks and thumb turn attacks; as well as RFID attacks such as cloning, brute forcing and sidechannel attacks.
