SUP WING FOIL PRO
This generation of SUP-Wing foiling shapes take engineering queues from the latest America’s Cup foiling boats. By adapting key concepts to the specific needs of SUP foiling, we greatly improved bottom-end sub-foiling performance, getting you up and foiling early with minimal effort.
The boards are balanced in the air with low swing weight. The forward bottom and rail shape is designed to maintain speed during accidental touch downs while delivering a smooth recovery. These improved shapes bring a totally new experience for intermediate-to-expert foilers with the most pronounced stringer line for increased directional momentum.
The result is a shape riders can easily stand on, with a very good sub-foiling efficiency and a forgiving ride when flying. This makes the NSP SUP Wing Foil Pro boards perfect for waves, downwinding and wing foiling.
FEATURES:
• Enough buoyancy and stability to stay comfortable when you are not on the foil.
• Early planing shape and efficient tail exit requires minimal effort to lift up and fly. These shapes provide better sub-foiling bottom-end efficiency for paddling and wingfoiling.
• Directional efficiency when you are off the foil, so all applied forces ((paddle stroke, kite-pump or wingding)) is converted into forward movement.
• The directional shape is designed to avoid any sticking effect when touching the water surface, allowing the board to rebound instantly to flying mode.
• The volume distribution is designed to reduce the swing weight of the board when you are on the foil. This allows quicker turns and gibe moves.
• Thermoformed EVA deck pad with pronounced kick tail and side wedges.
• Twin track foil tuning guide.
• Multi-positioning foot strap inserts mid deck and tail.

TUNING SHIMS
AIRWAVE PRECISION TUNING
Most hydrofoils in the market are set to a single AOA (angle of attack) at the back wing, usually varying between one- and three degrees. The Airwave is different, as it comes with three precision tuning shims, allowing the rider to adjust the AOA of the back wing to customize the balance between lift,
For example, the 3° shim (black) allows for pumping with maximum efficiency, but is slower and at higher speeds, it generates too much lift, requiring continuous counteracting by applying front foot pressure. Switching to the 1° shim (silver) gives less lift, is harder to pump but offers maximum speed. The 2° shim (orange) is the most neutral of the three, it’s the base line we design all our foils to and is the best place to start as in regular surfing, each shim has its own feel and performance characteristics. Since a hydrofoil moves on three axis, instead of the two we recommend you experiment as your skills develop.
The 85 Fuselage is for windsurfers and kitesurfing and is supplied with a single 2° shim only. The fuselage can be used with the standard shims supplied with the Airwave set, but they are a little narrow, as the Fuselage 85 tip (tail) is wider.

FOIL INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Do not over tighten the bolts as this will damage the foil.
1. Using the supplied Tef Gel, dab a small amount onto the threads of the two screws M6 x 18mm screws for the fuselage.
2. Attach the rear wing as shown with the two M6 x 18mm screws. The supplied trim shims need to be place between rear wing and fuselage. Do not place the rear wing without trim shim on the fuselage as this will cause damage. Tighten by hand using the supplied allen 4mm Allen key. Never use power tools.
NSP supplied 3 shims size:
• For first setup use the orange 2o shim. This shim works best in most conditions and allows you to get used to the whole foil setup.
• The silver 1 o shim is faster and lifts slower. Your body weight should be set further back.
• The black 3 o shim is slower, but lifts faster. Your body weight should be set more forward to counter-balance the down force of the rear wing.
• For our M-wing, which is available separately, we recommend the silver 1 o shim.
• For this particular surf wing, this is the perfect setup.
3. Using the supplied Tef Gel, dab a small amount onto the threads of the three M8 x 30mm screws for the front of the fuselage. Attach the front wing as shown. Tighten by hand using the supplied 5mm Allen key.
4. Using the supplied Tef Gel, dab a small amount of it onto the threads of the three screws on the top of the mast.
5. Attach the mounting plate to the top of the mast using three of the M6 x 35mm supplied screws. Tighten by hand using the supplied 4mm Allen key.
6. Using the supplied Tef Gel, dab a small amount of it onto the threads of the three screws on the bottom of the mast.
7. Attach the fuselage to the bottom of the mast using remaining three M6 x 35mm supplied screws . Tighten by hand using the supplied 4mm Allen key.
* Never over tighten the screws.
**After the first 15-20 minutes check all screws to make sure they have not worked loose.
***After every use disassemble, wash with water and dry each piece.
ATTACHING THE FOIL TO THE TWIN TRACK MOUNT
1. Dab a small amount of supplied Tef Gel to the threads of the four mounting screws before attaching brass nuts.
2. Thread M8 screws into brass nuts just slightly (3-4 turns) and insert brass nuts into track (2 screws in each track). Slide screws to opposite ends of the tracks.
3. Place the mounting plate in center of the track and slide the screws into the screw recess. Make sure the trailing or sharp edge of the wing is facing to the back of the board then follow the positioning guide on your board.
If you have not used this foil before we recommend setting it to the back of the box. This will keep lift to a minimum, if you require more lift move the base forward in the box.
4. Tighten your screws with the supplied 5mm Allen key. Do not over-tighten.
*Never over-tighten the screws.
**After the first 15-20 minutes check all screws to make sure they have not worked loose.
***After every use disassemble, wash with water and dry each piece.
This user-friendly, lightweight wing is the ideal accessory for foilers, SUPers and surfers wanting to increase their time and skills on the water. The geometry of the NSP Airwing is designed to deliver smooth power, stability and flowing handling, inviting you to experience new watersport sensations.
WIDER WIND RANGE AND CONTROL
The NSP Airwing is the result of tons of prototypes and hundreds of testing hours. The NSP R&D process refined the outlines, tube geometries and foil profiles to deliver a ride that is smooth and stable. The wing is a stable, low-aspect shape, balanced with moderate dihedral angles that increase performance and wind range, and help keep wingtips clear of the water.
LIGHTWEIGHT AND DURABLE
With weight being an essential performance parameter, we aimed for the lowest weight possible, without compromising strength and durability. The strut and leading-edge tips are reinforced with light, but durable PVC wear patches, while the wing tip has a longer wear strip and its corners are reinforced with TPU wear pads for additional protection on land. The NSP Airwing will perform on water, land and snow but we advise against excessive dragging over surfaces.
SHAPE DETAILS:
• Refined shape design, for balanced power and efficiency
• Leading edge profile and dihedral shape deliver efficient twist dynamics
• Oversized and segmented leading edge for rigidity (10 segments on the leading edge for the 5m 2, 6m 2 and 8 segments for the 3m2 and 4m2)
• Tapered wing tips aid twist, reduce swing weight and windage.
Out of the bag, the Airwing is ready for action. First, secure the supplied leash to the leading edge. Using the low-profile valve, inflate your Airwing to a pressure no higher than 7psi.
By using one-pump technology, leading edge and centre-strut inflate together, forming a strong, flex-resistant frame. The supplied pump adapter will fit common Halkey Roberts pump nozzles, used for high-end inflatable products. *Pump sold separately
TECHNICAL FEATURES AND MATERIALS
Tapered wingtips
Smart design minimizes turbulence and increases stability of your wing,
Boston high-volume valve
Nobody likes to spend more time rigging up and down than necessary. A light-weight, high-diameter “Boston” valve allows for efficient deflating and inflating.
The low-aspect ratio increases the range of use, powering up quickly, with a lot of freedom of movement for the rider. The 3D dihedral profile creates additional efficiency and stability in overpowered conditions.
Lift off by giving it a few shoulder rotations, some light board pumps, and off you go. Once flying, the Airwing feels fast, balanced and can easily be tuned for power by moving your back hand between the ultra-comfy handles that run the full length of the centre-strut.
Hardcore Wingtip reinforcements
Especially for rough surfaces, TPU strips reinforce the wingtips, finished off with vulcanized PVC.
2-ply reinforced trailing edge
Additional 2-ply strips and triple stitching protect the trailing edge from stretching, wear and tear or potential ripping.
Twin windows
PVC windows are both safe and sturdy, enabling increased visibility.
TPU reinforcements
Strategically placed TPU strips dramatically increase durability while keeping the wing light.
Camber panel
By strategically placing an additional foiled strip of rip stop material between the strut and the wing canopy, the Airwing boasts a smooth pre-set profile that powers up early and maintains shape under all circumstances.
Premium comfortable handles
Comfortable handles on the strut and on the leading edge allow for hours of rider comfort and gives the ability to tune the sheeting angle. The center leading edge handle is placed as neutral as possible, and allows for complete depowering and control while you focus on carving, downwinding and surfing.
Smart one-pump design
A single point inflation System gets you on and off the water faster, and allows you to tune the pressure between leading edge and strut.
Triple stitched
Proven glued and triple-stitched seams offer enhanced durability
Premium wing leash
Highly durable 6mm TPU coiled wing leash with double stainless steel swivels, and double layer neoprene strap.

XL-Leading edge & strut
Added circumference translates into stiffness, segmented shape maintains rigidity in overpowered conditions and easily powers up in low- to medium powered conditions. Tapered tips for more aerodynamic efficiencies.
Dynamic dihedral
Subtle dihedral design creates a stable wing, even in overpowered conditions.
UPWIND
Benefit from controllable lift. Excess energy is released from the trailing edge of the upper wing.
REACHING OR DOWNWIND
Retain solid shape and generate progressive power for thrilling speed runs.
WHEN OVERPOWERED
Notice the Airwing rising to a horizontal angle above your head, feeling neutral and controllable.
NEUTRAL FLIGHT
Sufficiently powered up, an Airwing can be held by the leading edge in one hand as it floats behind you. Concentrate on your surfing or hydrofoiling until you need Airwing power again.
AIRWAVE COMPATIBLE
Designed for the NSP foiling products, the Airwing is optimized for use with the NSP Airwave and NSP SUP Foil. Note that any Airwing will also perform out-ofthe-bag with other known brands, shapes and foils.
STIFF, SAFE AND STABLE
Designed to maintain its shape in all circumstances, the Airwing is stiff and features a clamped valve making sure you can recover your equipment in case of a leak.

Whether you are foiling, surfing or paddling – the NSP traction pads provide long-lasting grip and confidence. Especially in foiling, a delicate balance is required to get you flying over the surface of the water and your feet need precise positioning to control pitch, roll and yaw.
Always centered
NSP tail pads feature a kicktail and a mild dome in the center of the pad. The ridges of the dome will make sure your back foot finds the dead center of your board without ever looking down.
Thermoformed texture ensures your back foot stays planted over the mast at all times. For hard pumping or committing to a tight radius, get that extra leverage by moving your back foot against the kicktail and force the last bit of performance from your board.
More durable
There is nothing worse than a peeling deck pad, which is why NSP uses premium 3M adhesives, as it provides the best possible bond between your board and the thermoformed EVA. Different from conventional EVA, thermoforming gives these pads a more abrasion-resistant layer that will hold up longer. Make sure your board is properly cleaned up before applying the pads, and wait 24 hours before hitting the water to get the best possible bond for years to come. Removal is easiest with a hot air gun and some soapy water.
Versatile patterns
A 3-piece tail pad is the most versatile pattern that still offers variable width and an arched center strip. It’s the easiest to install, offers tons of grip and will work on any board. In combination with the 4-piece pattern for the front part of the deck, you should have the standing area of your board covered.
Directional diamond-shaped pattern
The deeper the grooves, the more resistance against slipping and superior traction.
Kick & Arch
Performance riders benefit from a 45 degrees kick whenever your foot needs to be well-placed to blow out a wave. Apart from the comfort aspect, an arch helps your backfoot instinctively find the centre line of your board without ever having to look down.

NSP OUR STORY
NSP was born in 2001 from the vision of Bruce “Buzz” Hansen, a life-long surfer, skater and all round waterman.
While working on Maui as a custom surfboard builder, Buzz had an epiphany about producing affordable, versatile, durable and great performing surfboards. Buzz correctly realized there were everyday surfers who needed an affordable board that performed in Hawaii, yet they didn’t require “custom” or specialized competition or extreme surf boards.
The quest began, so Buzz summoned his friends working for a leading composites manufacturer with the goal to create a light, very durable surf board at highly competitive prices. Working together they introduced a new epoxy technology that would go on to revolutionize the industry and quite possibly recreational surfing. Weekend and occasional surfers no longer had to rely on the ill- performing “foamies” or be relegated to the used board market.
Our code name during development was “New Surf Project”. The name stuck and “NSP” was established. Over the years, we changed and evolved, and so did the name. Today, NSP stands for “Nature”, “Surfing” and “Products” because at the end of the day, that is what the company is all about.
Creating amazing products, firmly maintaining our surfing roots while we expand in other exciting watersports with the best possible designers, engineers and materials involved. And last but definitely not least; “Nature”. Choosing repurposed, recycled or renewable resources wherever we can is essential to us as a brand, creating a more sustainable future for ourselves and our sport.
His dream was a utilitarian surfboard that could ride in the back of a pick-up truck to the beach, be left in the sun all-day or loaned to a friend without fear of damage – of course it had to surf well enough to be given to his long-time surfing buddies, neighbors and friends.

Today, NSP is one of the world’s largest brands in recreational surfing and stand-up paddle boards. Everyday new enthusiasts, young and old, go out and introduce their friends and family to the freedom of the sport and the brand.
NSP
Since 2013 NSP has produced some of the fastest SUP race boards on the planet, quickly racking up some of the most sought after and prestigious titles with the help of national and international athletes.
In almost 20 years, with hundreds of thousands of boards produced, our core values remain the same. NSP stays true to the vision of creating great performing, affordable, durable surf and paddle boards that allow everyone to catch more waves.
• Alain Teurquetil started exclusively designing our race program
• Travis Grant won Molokai on a production NSP board
• Launched our first foil boards

NSP MISSION
To create a utilitarian surf, race, foil or paddle board that can ride in the back of a pick-up truck, be left in the sun all-day or loaned to a friend – without fear of damage – and of course, that performs well.
NSP VISION
Seeing people of all ages and skill levels enjoying the lifestyle of surf and paddle boarding by providing boards that paddle faster, catch more waves, last longer and are a whole lot of fun to ride.
