Renowned for his winning race board designs, Alain Teurquetil applies his engineering skills to designing foil boards too. NSP is stoked about the cooperation with Alain and his second generation of SUP foil, Wing foil and Surf foil boards.

NSP KINGPIN SURF FOIL

T he full volume pointed round nose features a deep double concave hydro hull transitioning to a flat rocker through the middle and tail. This is complimented by a full chined rail and cutaway round tail, reducing surface area and promoting early release. This combination of concaves, rocker, rail chines, and cutaway tail release faster without drag for a super smooth take-off and easily handles touchdowns.

The concave deck is comfortable to paddle and ultra-responsive to rider input. Combined with a deckpad and the option of foot straps, the Kingpin will be an integral part of the NSP Foil range.

Design:

• The volume distribution is concentrated around the chest area to give surfers a perfect platform for paddling into waves.

• Deep double concave Hydro Hull nose. Chined rails and tail cutaway for maximum paddle speed and release on take-off and touchdowns.

• Flat rocker through the middle and tail with relief from the tail cutaway to kick the tail early to get onto foil.

HOT SHOT WING FOIL

An exercise in pure hydrodynamics reducing drag by optimized release and maximum speed sub foil also means less drag when riders touch down, allowing them to relaunch quickly and smoothly.

The nose features a refined double concave hydro hull transitioning to a flat rocker with cut-away chined rails positioned one-third above the rounded cut-away tail, reducing surface area and drag. Despite the reduced length, the fuller outline and rail maintain volume to assist starts and recovery in rough water and combined with the bottom, the take-off is as smooth as silk and gives riders confidence to push hard.

The concave deck is comfortable and ultra-responsive to rider input. Combined with a deckpad and included MFC foot straps, the Hot Shot is the perfect board together with NSP’s new Fireball to take your wing foiling to the next level.

• The volume distribution is designed to reduce the board’s swing weight when you are on the foil and allows for quicker directional changes and jibes.

The ultimate compact wing foiling traveling companion!

Without sacrificing performance and stability, the Wing Foil inflatable board rolls up into a backpack and makes storage and traveling so much easier. The design concept comes from our well known composite foil boards and has been tested with the same rigor, intensity and detail that our team gives to every board put into production. Supplied exclusively with our Wing Foil FS, the NSP footstrap available with the infllatble board. The external adjustable system and 1/2/3 bolts accommodate every foot size and board setup, while offering the best comfort and support. SPITFIRE (Downwind/ SUP Foil)

The Spitfire fits in a category of boards that demands both a shorter board for manageability as well as lifting efficiently as possible to get on to foil for endless rides bump-to-bump.

To achieve this, the Spitfire features a narrow nose and pin tail to lengthen the waterline and advanced hydrodynamics with a deep double concave hydro hull and chined rail to push less water and lift unbelievably early. This is key to downwinding as initial speed from the paddle and early lift to foil is the key to chasing the bumps.

The narrower tail width creates efficient water exit but also allows the nose to lift quickly. The concave deck is super comfortable to paddle and ultra responsive to rider input. Combined with a deckpad and the option for multi-positioned foot straps the Spitfire is the perfect board to enjoy your time in downwind conditions.

AIRWAVE NSP

Designed with performance, hydrodynamic efficiency and durability in mind. This modular platform can be tuned for every type of foiling: Surf, SUP, downwind, tow, wake, kite and wingfoiling.

It’s an extremely versatile foiling platform with all the necessary add-ons to allow you to customize your NSP Airwave across the entire watersports spectrum, no matter the riders weight or ability.

The backbone of the NSP Airwave is the unique 13.5cm (5.31”) wide 6061-T6 Aluminum mast. It is substantially wider than other masts for additional strength and directional stability. Connected to our beefed-up, precision CNC-cut 6061-T6

Aluminum fuselage, the Airwave will withstand loads generated from high speed turns and those inevitable wipe-outs.

The 6061-T6 Aluminum twin track mounting plate perfectly balances strength and weight. Control and lift can be adjusted with the interchangeable shims under the rear wings for the right combination of lift, stability and speed.

NSP wings are built to last, featuring a reinforced foam core laminated with 100% pre-preg 3K carbon fiber.

The rear wings with cutoff marks are fully made from carbon, allowing you to tweak its ride characteristics by cutting off the tips.

The Airwave is designed as the most versatile and performance oriented foil platform on the market. The NSP Airwave can be used for surf, SUP, tow-in, wake surfing, kiting or downwinding.

There is an ideal Airwave for you with a great variety of tuning options so you get the most out of your spot and its conditions.

AIRWAVE MODULAR MAST 80 - SET IN BAG

The NSP Airwave Modular 80 set contains a mounting plate, Fuselage 70, Mast 80 includes all necessary shims and tools to attach every available NSP Front and rear wing. (Does not include mast shims needed/recommended for use with Riblets).

The 600D padded bag with carry handle is designed to fit every mast from 60cm to 100cm and the bag length can be adjusted with the attached webbing strap.

BIOMIMICRY!

The tubercles, or large raised bumps, on the leading-edge of whale fins and foil and outline of a Manta Ray have inspired this design using scientifically proven features to provide additional control, hold and propulsion.

NSP was inspired by these phenomena and has created the new Riblet front and rear wings, striking a perfect balance between efficient lift and rail-to-rail maneuvering.

The new anhedral design translates into glide, stability and excellent speed.

Riblet wings are excellent for wing- and surf foiling in high-wind conditions, but will also perform as endless downwinders for advanced foilers who can leverage the efficient shape of these wings.

(Note: We strongly recommend using the all new mast shim with the Riblet to fine tune the performance).

Designed as high-aspect stabilizers, Riblet Rear Wings perform best in combination with their front wing counterparts, creating sustained glide and extreme maneuverability. The 225 and 275 combine well with the Riblet 1025 FW and Riblet 1225 FW

Four shims are available for the Riblet series, ranging from 0 to 3 degrees.

All Riblet rear wings use M6x20 screws.

GULL SERIES

NSP Gull Wings come in two sizes; the tried-and-tested 1720 and a new 2100 as well.

The Gull Wing Series has softer winglets that increase maneuverability, while retaining stability. This makes these front wings a game changer for beginners who are just getting into foiling, intermediate riders looking to increase their skills or expert free riders looking for a wing that works in all conditions.

GLIDER SERIES

NSP’s high-aspect (HA) gliders are available in four sizes.

The 1050 is the latest addition to our HA line-up, ideally used in big downwind conditions, big surf and for any rider wanting more speed from their setup. Perfect for surf, SUP and wingfoiling, the new glider series are the basis of any foiling quiver.

On the smaller glider wings, the reduction of surface area means less drag, increased efficiency and maneuverability, better acceleration and more top-end speed.

All HA sizes have been tweaked for a looser ride and increased maneuverability, allowing for lightning fast turns and drawn out circles.

• The rear wings have also been tweaked for improvised turning, increased acceleration and minimal drag.

• Thanks to our new solid carbon fiber construction, all rear wings are exceptionally rigid, reducing the level of input needed while up on foil.

• Both simulations and test reports found a top-mount solution improved efficiency and we redesigned the NSP fuselage, allowing it to carry rear wings on the top.

• The Shims have been redesigned and can be used for the 330, 340, and 245 rear wings.

• The attachment point of 245 wing has been redesigned to ensure the best angle of attack when in the water.

• New cutoff marks on the 245 allow you to easily reduce the surface area by up to 35cm2 down to 225 or right up to a surface of 210, really loosening up the foil. (For instance, trimming down the 245 changes its ride from HA to a great stabilizer for surf foiling).

• The 330 will use M6x20 screws, the 340 & 245 uses M6x25. All screws are provided in the modular set.

NSP Rear Wings are available in the foiling sizes:

- The 330 is the best allrounder for all conditions

- The 340 M wing is best for surf and windsurf

- The 245 works as a high-aspect glider or trimmed down for a loose, surf ride

SUGGESTED WING PAIRING

GULL WING PAIRING:

• Best to start with the 330 Rear Wing as it is the most stable and most allround rear wing in the range.

• The 340 M Rear Wing is better suited for surf or windsurf foiling. Handling is fast, changes in directions swift and free riders, windsurfers, wing and kite surfers. Radical surfers are best served with a 245 Rear Wing that they trim down to their liking.

• Riders looking specifically to go windsurf foiling are going High Aspect to get the best performance from the 85cm fuselage as it is the most stable size in the fuselage range.

GLIDER WING PAIRING:

The 245 High-Aspect rear wings perform best in down wind and wing foiling applications. Cutting the winglets from the Rear Wings converts them from high-aspect to more of a stabilizer, best used by radical surfers who prefer a loose feel and the ability to turn quickly. While the aspect ratio remains high compared to the 330 and 340, its directional stability is removed in exchange for a more skate-like ride.

SHIMS

As part of the new range, we have reworked our shims, and there are now two sets on offer, molded from fiber-reinforced nylon. NSP has the 3-piece 1-3 degrees shim set which we offer for the standard rear wings. But we now also offer a four-piece, 0-3 degrees set for the Riblet rear wings.

The different degrees of each shim changes the angle of the wings in the water so you can customize your ride for more stability, faster lift maximum speed, or the best for pumping or winging.

• The 1-degree shim gives the least amount of drag, increasing speed but requiring some pumping to get up on foil.

• The 2-degree shim offers a great balance between stability and speed. It is the best choice to start out on.

• The 3-degrees shim gives the most lift and is the easiest to get up on foil with, but a little slower, making it useful for beginners or foilers who prefer a quick lift.

FOIL INSTALLATION:

CAUTION:

Do not over-tighten the bolts as this will damage the foil.

Using the supplied Tef Gel, dab a small amount onto the threads of the two screws M6 screws* for the fuselage.

Attach the rear wing as shown with the two M6 screws*. Tighten by hand using the supplied T30 Allen key. Never use power tools.

* Depending on the rear wing you are using, either 20mm or 25mm screws are required. If your setup requires the 25mm this will be clearly stated on the rear wing itself.

Using the supplied Tef Gel, dab a small amount of the anti-seize grease onto the threads of the front two holes of the fuselage. Attach the front wing as shown with the three M8 screws*. Tighten by hand using the supplied T40 Allen key.

* Depending on the frong wing you are using, either 25mm or 30mm screws are required. If your setup requires the 30mm this will be clearly stated on the rear wing itself.

Using the supplied Tef Gel, dab a small amount of it onto the threads of the three holes in the top of the mast.

Attach the mounting plate to the top of the mast using three of the M6 x 45mm supplied screws. Tighten by hand using the supplied T30 Allen key.

Using the supplied Tef Gel, dab a small amount of it onto the threads of the three holes in the bottom of the mast.

Attach the fuselage to the bottom of the mast using remaining three M6 x 45mm supplied screws . Tighten by hand using the supplied T30 Allen key.

* After every use disassemble, wash with water and dry each piece.

ATTACHING THE FOIL TO THE TWIN TRACK MOUNT

Dab a small amount of supplied Tef Gel to the threads of the four stainless nuts.

Thread M8 screws into stainless nuts just slightly (3-4 turns) and insert stainless nuts into track (2 screws in each track). Slide screws to opposite ends of the tracks.

With the mounting plate centered on the tracks, you can simply slide the screw into the recesses. Next, use the positioning guide to place netune the desired position of your mounting plate.

4. Tighten your screws with the supplied T40 Allen key. Do not overtighten.

* After use disassemble, wash with water and dry each piece.

Inflating your NSP Fireball

1. Lay the wing flat on a non abrasive surface, free from sharp objects that could damage the canopy, making sure the handles face up.

2. Lift open the velcro valve covers to gain access to the standard SUP valves underneath.

3. Make sure there’s no sand or debris around the valve before opening.

4. Twist the valve nib to the closed position so that any air pumped in does not escape when you remove the pump.

5. Using a standard SUP pump, twist on the nozzle, and pump up the Leading Edge to 8psi*.

6. Remove the nozzle, reinstall the valve top, and close the velcro valve cover.

7. Repeat steps 1-6 for the Strut.

* Note: When pumping, the actual pressure in the bladder shows at the end of every stroke on the pump gauge. Always use a pump with a low-pressure gauge.

DO NOT OVER-INFLATE; DAMAGES AS A RESULT ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

Completely deflating your NSP Fireball*

1. Lay the wing down on a non abrasive surface free of sharp objects, with the handles facing up.

2. Open the velcro valve covers, and twist off the valve covers.

3. Twist open the valve nib to the open position to release the air.

4. Repeat 1 - 3 for the Strut.

5. With the wing fully deflated start from the wing tips, roll them towards the strut, removing any remaining air.

6. With both wing tips rolled to the Strut, start at the end tip of the strut and roll up towards the LE, removing any remaining air.

7. Put the folded wing into the supplied back pack for easy carry and storage.

* We recommend users drying the wing completely before any long term storage. Trapped water can result in irreparable marking, color transfer, and mold.

Partially deflating your NSP Fireball*

1. Lay the wing down on a non abrasive surface free of sharp objects, with the handles facing up.

2. On the Leading Edge only, open the velcro valve covers, and twist off the valve covers

3. Twist open the velcro valve nib to the open position to release the air.

4. Fold from the tips towards the Strut.

5. Open and pull out the mesh extension from the NSP backpack.

6. Slide the Strut in through the top all the way through and close the top of the backpack.

* Recommended for cold or near freezing temperatures and/or transporting the wing from one location to the next or home before drying properly.

Note: If using the wing in near freezing temperatures DO NOT fold the TPU windows; folding can damage / crack the TPU windows. Damages as a result of improper storage are not covered under warranty

TRACTION PADS

Whether you are foiling, surfing or paddling – the NSP traction pads provide long-lasting grip and confidence. Especially in foiling, a delicate balance is required to get you flying over the surface of the water and your feet need precise positioning to control pitch, roll and yaw.

Always centered

NSP tail pads feature a kicktail and a mild dome in the center of the pad. The ridges of the dome will make sure your back foot finds the dead center of your board without ever looking down.

Thermoformed texture ensures your back foot stays planted over the mast at all times. For hard pumping or committing to a tight radius, get that extra leverage by moving your back foot against the kicktail and force the last bit of performance from your board.

More durable

There is nothing worse than a peeling deckpad, which is why NSP uses premium 3M adhesives, as it provides the best possible bond between your board and the thermoformed EVA. Different from conventional EVA, thermoforming gives these pads a more abrasion-resistant layer that will hold up longer. Make sure your board is properly cleaned up before applying the pads, and wait 24 hours before hitting the water to get the best possible bond for years to come. Removal is easiest with a hot air gun and some soapy water.

Versatile patterns

A 3-piece tail pad is the most versatile pattern that still offers variable width and an arched center strip. It’s the easiest to install, offers tons of grip and will work on any board. In combination with the 4-piece pattern for the front part of the deck, you should have the standing area of your board covered.

Directional diamond-shaped pattern

The deeper the grooves, the more resistance against slipping and superior traction.

Kick & Arch

Performance riders benefit from a 45 degrees kick whenever your foot needs to be well-placed to blow out a wave. Apart from the comfort aspect, an arch helps your backfoot instinctively find the center line of your board without ever having to look down.

MFC-DESIGNED FOOTSTRAPS

The MFC-designed footstrap is a must have for anyone looking to get into wingding foiling, windsurf foiling or kitesurf foiling.
