ACES FOR JUDY MURRAY & PEUGEOT JUDY MURRAY HAS BEEN SERVED UP AN ACE BY PEUGEOT - DAILY RECORD

The French company, which has close links with the tennis world, has handed over a brand new Peugeot 508 to the mum of Scots tennis stars Andy and Jamie to help her with her Tennis on the Road scheme.

Andrew Didlick of Peugeot presented the car to Judy at the Hardie Motor Group headquarters in Stirling. Working in partnership with Peugeot UK, Judy has already visited more than 40 schools and tennis clubs around Scotland as Tennis on the Road extends the game across the country, in communities where there is limited access to activity.

Judy will visit a further seven locations across Scotland this year in her new Peugeot 508, which has a distinctive and assertive design with signature lighting, accentuated by full LED technology and a boot that is perfectly sized for transporting essential tennis equipment. She said: “Tennis on the Road is about inspiring and supporting parents, teachers, volunteers and coaches to increase participation and grow tennis in their local areas, using whatever space they have. You don’t need a tennis court to get kids started. Being able to attend the sessions at the various schools and tennis clubs is really important to me. And having the Peugeot 508 will get me, and all my equipment, to as many of these as possible.”

PARIS MOTOR SHOW: PEUGEOT 3008 SUV LAUNCHING IN JANUARY 2017

The arrival of the all-new 3008 SUV, all new 5008 SUV models, the 2008 DKR and not to forget the new generation digital PEUGEOT i-Cockpit and a number of motability solutions made its debut in the show.

The Peugeot stand offered visitors to experience the features of the All-New 2008 SUV, with the new generation of digital i-Cockit which is demonstrated using virtual reality technology. As for the powertrain just two engines will be on offer during the launch, a 0.9litre 3 cylinder as well as a 1.5litre 4 cylinder. The engines should provide tonnes of poke making it exciting around town and comfortable on the motorway. More engine options are expected to be released later on in the year.

On Wednesday 28th September, the PSA group has launched its very exciting Free2move brand to keep with an ever changing society and more specially the emergence of collaborative ways of using transport.

New brand Free2Move, will help satisfy the full spectrum of consumers transport needs, through developing sustainable, smart, safe and shared motability solutions for everyone.

The brand will focus on four key areas.

Macmillan are a charity run to provide cancer support to those in need through various channels to those at all stages of the disease.

One of the incredible schemes that are held across the country are the Macmillan coffee mornings where volunteers have the chance to bake and raise money in a bid to stand up to cancer.
