NORTHSIDE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE WEEKLY PRIMARY NEWSLETTER
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had a bustling and exciting week at our school, and I am thrilled to share some highlights with you.
Our Year 6 students had the fantastic opportunity to engage with acclaimed author Katrina Nannestad earlier this week. Katrina’s visit was nothing short of inspiring, as she shared insights into her writing process and the adventures behind her beloved stories The students were captivated by her tales and had the chance to ask questions about her books, gaining valuable perspectives on storytelling and creativity. Katrina’s visit not only sparked imaginations but also encouraged our students to explore their own writing talents.
Our Year 6 students also enjoyed presenting at their Coin Operated Museum of Science this week. This hands-on experience allowed students to research a significant scientist and create interactive exhibits to present to our College community The enthusiasm and curiosity shown by our students was truly inspiring. They were able to reflect on the wonder of Science and how it points to God as a magnificent creator.
Our Year 2 students had their first overnight school camp experience during the Year 2 sleepover this week. They had a wonderful time staying over at school and enjoyed a range of fun activities. I'd like to thank all of the staff involved and helpers who made the sleepover a success It is an exciting event for our students and prepares them for the camps to come in future years.
As we look ahead to next week, we are eagerly awaiting our much-anticipated musical production, Shrek the Musical Jr! The cast and crew have been working diligently behind the scenes to bring this beloved story to life. We can’t wait for you to see the incredible performances and enjoy the creativity and hard work that our students have put into this production. Ensure you have secured your tickets, as it promises to be a spectacular event!
Lastly, don’t forget about our upcoming Book Fair, which will be held next week. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to discover new books and further develop their love of literacy We encourage you to visit and take advantage of the fantastic selection of books available.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our College community
