ORTHSIDE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE WEEKLY PRIMARY NEWSLETTER
From the Director of Primary School Learning
Dear Parents and Carers,
This is my final message to families for 2024. I would like to extend my gratitude to all of our families. You and your children are what make Northside Christian College such a wonderful school and learning community. Thank you for partnering with us throughout this year. We are grateful for your encouragement and support.
This week the students spent Orientation Day meeting their new teacher and peers for 2025 There was a positive tone in each of our classrooms and it was wonderful to see new connections being formed between students and staff. It was a pleasure to welcome our new Preps who spent most of the day with their new teachers also.
Next week you will receive a copy of your child's end of semester report. I encourage you to contact your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns Our staff will spend time together to share transition information from current to next year's teaching staff as part of our preparation for 2025, to ensure we can continue to meet the needs of each student as best we can.
Earlier this week we celebrated our Year 6 Graduation. It was a pleasure to see our students shine on the night as we celebrated this important milestone in their lives. I was reflecting on what a privilege it has been as a College to invest in the lives of our incredible students The Year 6 students presented a song called "The Plans" which was a fitting theme, reminding us that God has good plans for our lives. It is our prayer that those plans will unfold in each of our students and that they will be guided by God, both now and in the future.
I have also been reflecting on our theme "Created" and our theme verse from Psalm 100:3 "Know that the Lord is God It is He who made us and we are His We are His people, the sheep of his pasture." It is wonderful to be reminded how we have all been created uniquely, by God, and we belong to Him. We have lots to be thankful for.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and New Year. May the break be a refreshing time. I am looking forward to catching up with our students again in 2025 for a great year.
God bless you and your family,
Chris Drowley Director of Primary
