As flu season approaches, a reminder that unwell children must remain at home until recovered or when required, cleared by a GP. Students sent to school unwell, will be sent to sick bay and parents, carers or emergency contacts will be called to pick up the unwell student so that they can receive the appropriate healthcare, outside the First Aid scope of the College.

Thank you for supporting the College and ensuring that we provide a safe and healthy learning environment.

NORTHSIDE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE:

ONGOING COMMITMENT TO CHILD SAFETY AND CULTURAL INCLUSION.

Northside Christian College continues to strengthen and uphold its commitment to child safety and student wellbeing by maintaining policies and practices that reflect the Victorian Child Safe Standards. These Standards remain central to our ongoing efforts to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.

The College recognises the importance of fostering a culture that values diversity and promotes equity. Our approach continues to reflect key principles within the Child Safe Standards. We are committed to supporting and responding to the needs of vulnerable students in our school communities.

As a Christian school, our commitment to inclusion is grounded in our faith. Romans 15:7 reminds us to “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God ” This message inspires our ongoing work to ensure every student at Northside feels safe, respected, and valued

The strength of our diverse College community continues to be a defining feature of Northside. Our key policies—such as the Student Code of Conduct, Behaviour Management Policy (Policy No. 36), and Pastoral Care Policy (Policy No. 12)—demonstrate our dedication to providing an environment where every student can thrive physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Our Cultural Safety Policy (Policy No. 74) celebrates and affirms the cultural richness within our school, including the heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At Northside, we remain steadfast in our mission to support the wellbeing of every student and to foster a safe, inclusive learning environment that reflects our Christian values and vision to see our students and community flourish.

We welcome any feedback, questions or concerns from our community in relation to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for all of our students. Please contact the College on 9467 2499 if you have any queries.
