‘Spring Brawl’ to raise funds for classmate The North Haven High School football team’s 13th annual Spring Brawl is set for Friday, June 16, 6 p.m., at Vanacore Field. The event will preview the 2017 Indians while raising money to support NHHS senior Amelia DePino, who is battling leukemia.

In a letter to Alan Fredricksen, the land use administrator, Chief Thomas McLoughlin, said, “I cannot endorse this proposed demolition derby. Aside from listening to the Fair Association’s proposal, reviewing their track design and locations, researching similar events where accidents and injuries have occurred, and being mindful of patron density and parked vehicles, I believe this is the wrong venue for a demolition derby.”
