On September 2nd, 2023, Jess and I got married on the balcony of our AirBNB in Santorini, Greece while overlooking the incredible views of the ancient volcanic caldera. If I am being honest, the whole thing felt like a dream. I kept saying to Jess, “I feel like what I am looking at isn’t real.”
IT LOOKED TOO…BEAUTIFUL. She looked…too beautiful.
Jess and I originally were planning on doing a traditional wedding on October 6th, 2023, in Dallas. But, if you have ever planned a wedding before, it is quite the undertaking. We were noticing that we were getting caught up in the details, the guest list, the vendors, the budget, the coordinating, so on and so forth. One day in March, Jess called and said, “What if we didn’t do the big wedding and eloped to Santorini, Greece instead?” I assumed she was joking. But when I realized she wasn’t, I was all for it. This day, this moment, is about us… and nothing else. We wanted to make sure that remained the focus through it all.
We were so grateful that our friends and family were not only okay with it, they were super supportive! In fact, I don’t think there was a single person we told that didn’t say something along the lines of, “Yes! I love it. Great idea!” or “I wish I would have done that!” We know we would have loved every second of the big wedding; no question about it. But at the end of the day, we felt this route was best for us, and I can tell you now that it’s all over, we certainly do not regret it!
I always try to have some sort of take away with these publisher’s notes, and I guess the take away for this one would be to do what you feel is best for you and not what the rest of the world thinks. If you want to try something new in your business, or maybe even try a new business, do it. Do what you feel is best in your heart for you. It is important to do your research, explore the options, and take all things into consideration. But at the end of the day, it is your life to live. So, live it your way… as authentically as you can.
To keeping it real,

GREEN GREEN
REALTOR® on the rise
Written by: Katherine H. Fondren • by: Jin Kim, URSPECIALIn the vast world of real estate, there are few professionals who possess the same level of passion, dedication, and expertise as Kelli Green, a Texas REALTOR® with the Lillie Young Group at Alliebeth Allman. With 13 years of experience under her belt, Kelli has established herself as a trusted advisor and top producer in the industry, with a remarkable track record of over 300 transactions and $90 million in sales across 10 different counties.
Born and raised in the peaceful town of Longview, Texas, Kelli’s journey in real estate began at a young age. “I started my career when I was just 20 years old, which was quite intimidating at the time. Who would buy a house from a 20 year old?” Kelli recalls. Despite the initial challenges, her determination and drive propelled her forward, and she quickly gained the knowledge and expertise needed to excel in the industry.
PhotosPassion, Dedication, & Making Dreams Come True
One of the aspects that sets Kelli apart is her passion for historic homes. In 2022, she obtained a certificate as a Historic Homes Specialist from the Preservation of Dallas. “After seeing so many new construction white boxes, I have come to appreciate what older homes have to offer,” Kelli explains. She believes that these homes hold a unique charm and character that cannot be replicated. With her deep understanding of historic properties, she guides clients through the intricacies of buying and selling these treasured pieces of history.
For Kelli, the most rewarding part of her business lies in the relationships she builds with her clients. “Homes represent so much for me. It is the first place we wake up and sleep. A place where we laugh, we cry, a place to share with family and friends. A place to feel safe. A place to call home. It is so important to me,” she emphasizes. Through her personalized approach and genuine care for her clients’ needs, Kelli creates a lasting impact on their lives, making their dreams of homeownership a reality.
Like any successful REALTOR®, Kelli has faced her fair share of challenges. Starting at a young age presented obstacles, as she often looked younger than she was. However, Kelli turned these challenges into opportunities for growth. “I learned that it’s not about how I look, but what I know and how I make other people feel,” she shares. By continually educating herself, providing exceptional service, and cultivating strong relationships, Kelli proved her worth and built a reputation as a trusted advisor in the industry.
Beyond her real estate career, Kelli is committed to giving back to the community. She volunteers at a community redevelopment organization sponsored by Watermark Church and Veritex Bank, where she helps educate adults who haven’t been given the tools to understand finances. Through this program, participants receive funds for down payments on homes, cars, or education. Kelli’s role extends beyond real estate; she empowers individuals to lay a strong financial foundation that can be passed down to future generations.
As a REALTOR®, Kelli finds joy in the diversity of her work. “No client or property is alike. It keeps it exciting and keeps me on my toes,” she explains. Creative problem-solving and effective negotiation are integral parts of her daily routine. Kelli’s commitment to excellence and her dedication to staying at the forefront of the industry contribute to her success.
Kelli believes that success is not simply reaching a goal but continuously striving for improvement. “Success is accepting where you are at and knowing there is always room to grow,” she defines. She believes that consistent efforts and a positive attitude lead to great accomplishments. Additionally, Kelli emphasizes the importance of being a good person, working with integrity, and treating others with fairness and respect. These values have proven to be the cornerstone of her career.
Looking ahead, Kelli has ambitious goals for the future. “I have a lot of clients with farm and ranch land, and I aim to break my own record of 17 acres sold,” she shares. Her commitment to expanding her expertise and providing the highest level of service drives her to new heights of success.
In conclusion, Kelli Green stands out in the real estate industry for her unwavering passion, dedication, and hard work. With a focus on historic homes and a commitment to building lasting relationships, she continuously exceeds expectations. As she strives for excellence and guides her clients through their real estate journeys, Kelli’s smile and work ethic shine brightly. Her remarkable achievements serve as a testament to the remarkable things that can be accomplished through passion, perseverance, and a genuine desire to make dreams come true in the world of real estate.
Success is accepting where you are at and knowing there is always room to grow.
KELSEY ACOSTA AND ORIGINPOINT
PROVIDING HOMEBUYERS WITH MINDFUL MORTGAGE SOLUTIONS
that generate raving fans, Kelsey cultivates a referral-driven business that thrives on word-of-mouth recommendations. Her background in advertising agencies as an account manager and video producer has also equipped her with the skills to develop marketing campaigns with agents and help them present themselves effectively on camera.
What sets Kelsey apart from her competition is her personal journey as a second-generation mortgage lender and her determination to build her own success. From the start, Kelsey was inspired by her mother’s dedication to her clients and the mortgage industry. Despite not working directly with her mother, Kelsey’s decision to forge her own path was supported, and it propelled her to become a top producer in the field. “I followed my mother’s lead, witnessing her relentless work ethic from being swaddled in a mortgage company desk drawer as she served her clients in the ‘90s to her support in my decision to study advertising at the University of Texas at Austin,” Kelsey shares. In 2018, Kelsey entered a challenging market and quickly established herself as a power producer within her company.
Kelsey attributes much of her support to her OriginPoint team as well. “I have an amazing assistant, Allie, who is dedicated to my business and its growth.
Allie’s attention to detail and
proactive thinking builds synergy in the process upfront as we get clients pre-approved for their search and prepped for the closing table,” says Kelsey.
“Sandy, my processor, is also a tenured part of the mortgage industry and dedicated to my client’s success when they go under contract. With 27 years in the business, not much can get past her as we move into the underwriting phase.” Led by Dan Carson, OriginPoint’s area manager, Kelsey, and her team, they can thrive in an environment where the growth and success of the loan officers come first.
“Having a manager like Dan who is also a top producer means we benefit from a grounding force plus extensive knowledge on the sales side,” Kelsey says.
Outside of work, Kelsey finds solace in teaching yoga at RitualOne and attending music festivals. Growing up in competitive dancing, she honed her discipline and balance, discovering a profound connection between mind, body, and music that has stuck with her. This passion for holistic well-being influences her approach to work-life balance.
Kelsey understands the demands of working after hours and on weekends. To find balance, she prioritizes setting aside time for herself, participating in yoga classes as early as 6 AM to start the day. By taking care of herself, she ensures she can provide her clients with the best service possible.
Looking ahead, Kelsey has ambitious goals for the future. She aims to help 150 families secure mortgages within a single year and launch her YouTube channel, where she plans to educate buyers on the home loan process. By sharing her expertise, she hopes to empower even more individuals on their homeownership journey.
Kelsey values the Real Producers platform for its ability to connect likeminded individuals in the industry. Recognizing the symbiotic relationship between lenders and REALTORS®, she believes that collaboration is key to success. “In a market where most lenders carry their weight in an interest rate, I strive to be more than a number or vendor,” Kelsey explains. “Instead, it’s a partnership between myself, the buyer, and REALTOR® that creates lasting trust beyond the closing table.” Through Real Producers, Kelsey has
access to some of the brightest minds in real estate, creating opportunities for learning and growth.
In conclusion, Kelsey Acosta’s unwavering passion for her clients and REALTOR® partners shines through in her exceptional mortgage lending services. Her commitment to finding the best loan options tailored to her client’s needs, coupled with her creative approach to structuring finances, sets her apart in the industry. “Numbers are important to top producers. But thinking in human interactions + solutions translate directly to my success in this business,” adds Kelsey.
With mindfulness at the forefront of the home loan process, Kelsey Acosta is transforming the mortgage experience, one client at a time.
NUMBERS ARE IMPORTANT TO TOP PRODUCERS. BUT THINKING IN HUMAN INTERACTIONS + SOLUTIONS TRANSLATE DIRECTLY TO MY SUCCESS IN THIS BUSINESS.
One of the greatest things about real estate is that your clients are always evolving and growing.

BECACHRISTI
BECA
Life has a way of leading us down unexpected paths, and for Christi Beca, CEO/Founder of Christi Beca Realty Group and FMWIB (Flower Mound Women in Business), her journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Growing up in Texas and later moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma, Christi became a cheerleader for the University of Oklahoma where she pursued a double BBA degree in marketing and finance. Her spirit of determination continued to drive her to excel, demonstrating that resilience, empathy, and a servant’s heart can change lives and create a legacy that leaves a lasting mark on the world.
Although real estate was in her blood as a third-generation REALTOR®, Christi initially vowed not to follow in her family’s footsteps. “I actually joked growing up that I would ‘never be a REALTOR® because I couldn’t stand them, but obviously that has changed,” she chuckles. Fate, however, had other plans for her. After a devastating divorce left her broke, homeless, and a single mother of two, Christi found herself moving back in with her parents.
This trying time served as a turning point in Christi’s life. To rebuild her life and provide for her children, she ventured into the world of entrepreneurship. In 2003, she founded a designer diaper bag company, Beca Bags, which flourished and found success in high-end boutiques worldwide, including prestigious names like Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. This venture not only provided for her family but also set her on a path of resilience and determination.
Intriguingly, real estate re-entered her life when she needed it most, becoming the catalyst for her personal and professional transformation. “It honestly changed my life. I don’t know where I would be without RE,” Christi admits gratefully. Becoming a real estate agent empowered her to regain her purpose, confidence, and financial independence. “It gave me my life back,” she reflects.
In her journey of growth and empowerment, Christi founded the non-profit organization Flower Mound Women in Business (FMWIB). “We empower women, connect women business
owners, and impact our communities by giving back to those in need where we live and serve,” she explains passionately. Through FMWIB, Christi supports women who have experienced hardship, providing resources, support, housing, mentorship, and more to help them build a fresh start in life. To date, FMWIB has helped over 250k people in their local community and raised over $500k for families and other non-profits in need.
Amidst her impactful endeavors, Christi’s dedication to her clients shines brightly. “Helping families and single moms, like me, buy a home on their own after a loss, hardship, or divorce. It’s so much more than ‘just a house,’” she says with heartfelt sincerity.
As her real estate career thrived, Christi also prioritized being a devoted mother to her two exceptional children. Her son, Ashton, a junior at Baylor University, aspires to become a neurosurgeon, while her daughter, Brooke, plans to follow in her mom’s footsteps in interior design and real estate. The love of adventure, food, and travel unites this dynamic family, creating cherished memories together.
Christi’s drive and achievements have garnered numerous awards and recognitions, including Fort Worth’s Top REALTOR®, Best of D Magazine, and Best of Denton County. Despite her remarkable success, she remains grounded and grateful, consistently striving to give her best and empower others.
As an agent, Christi treasures the connections she forms with people along the way, “whether it’s clients, other agents, or vendors,” she says warmly. Her journey has taught her the true essence of success: consistently being grateful for what she has while striving to achieve her goals.
Looking ahead, Christi is eager to embrace the challenges that life presents, hoping to cultivate more community involvement and continue making a positive impact on others. Through her real estate endeavors and her non-profit FMWIB, Christi Beca is not only a successful REALTOR® but also an inspiration to countless women and families. To learn more about FMWIB or to get involved, visit www.fmwib.com or email christibeca@gmail.com

IT’S SO MUCH MORE THAN ‘JUST A HOUSE.’

As one gazes across the East Texas sky, they are met with a breathtaking view of rustic abodes and sprawling ranches. Here lies the backdrop to countless stories of families and their dreams - each with a unique tale to tell. Some of these stories are intertwined with the life achievements of Kristi Brewer, who has dedicated 18 years of service to her profession as a REALTOR®. Seated within the confines of her personal office, Kristi reflects on her journey with a voice as warm and rich as her experience. Her unwavering commitment to her work is evident in her simple yet powerful credo: “Faith and family are the most important.” Unwavering in her beliefs, this philosophy guides every step of Kristi Brewer’s journey.
Kristi’s connection to Hopkins County isn’t just a matter of location – it’s a fundamental part of her identity. Growing up in the heart of the county, she’s been surrounded by the picturesque scenery and friendly faces that make rural life so special. But even more than that, she’s built a life alongside her husband, Brandon, of 27 years. Together, they’ve raised three children while staying active in their church and community. For Kristi, her roots run deep, and her love shines through in everything she does.
Kristi’s career in real estate may have arisen unexpectedly from her work as a probation officer. Still, she sees it as a natural extension of her innate desire to care for and understand others. Drawing from her experience counseling her former clients, Kristi places a high value on open and honest communication and takes the time to truly grasp the unique journey of each of her clients. Her work as a probation officer has given her a foundation of professionalism and empathy that benefits her real estate clients in countless ways.
As I sit and listen to her speak about her passion for real estate, I can’t help but be drawn in by the sincerity and genuine care evident in every word. Her eyes light up as she describes the intricate intersection of commerciality, faith, and compassion that shapes her approach
Faith & Family
to the business. Her pride and joy lie in the lives that intersect with hers as she helps her clients fulfill their dreams and goals. The values that guide her are evident in her every move. She sees God’s hand in every transaction, guiding her forward with an unwavering commitment to the best interests of her clients.
Kristi and Brandon have found their sanctuary in the form of a 42-acre farm, surrounded by Black Angus cattle and their five friendly dogs. Their love for the peaceful country lifestyle is
not just personal; it also resonates deeply in Kristi’s professional life. As a professional in the DFW area, she sees more families navigating toward the tranquility and growth offered by rural living. The peacefulness and serenity offered by countryside living are increasingly sought after for their many benefits.
The life of a realtor is one filled with ups and downs, highs and lows, and more than a few challenges. With no set working hours, a realtor must always be on call, ready to jump into action at a moment’s notice. It’s a demanding profession that requires sacrifices and a constant willingness to learn, grow, and adapt. But for Kristi, every obstacle has only strengthened her resolve to deepen her faith and commitment to the Lord. Despite the challenges, her passion for helping others find their dream homes remains undiminished.
Kristi’s unwavering dedication to providing exceptional service in the real estate industry has not gone unnoticed. Her efforts have been rewarded with numerous accolades, including being named a D Magazine Top Producer for three years running. Additionally, in 2022, she was recognized as the #3 Individual Top Producer at Coldwell Banker Apex, REALTORS® out of 1,200 agents. While these awards and achievements undoubtedly reflect her hard work, Kristi values the trust and love of her clients above all else. She understands that buying or selling a home is a significant decision, and she strives to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible while always putting her client’s needs first.
Beyond the busy realm of real estate, Kristi finds solace in the great outdoors. Nothing calms her mind like camping trips, hunting excursions, and watersports with her loved ones. Even in her own backyard, Kristi cultivates a peaceful haven among her blooming flowers. As she tends to her garden, Kristi reflects on her life and values, embracing the tranquility of nature. “These moments with nature and my family ground me.”
To the budding professionals, she offers a golden nugget: “Dream big, invest time, and remember – the journey might be hard, but it will be worth it. Always embrace your authentic self and embody the unique person God intended and created you to be in whatever role you may play, whether that be professional or personal.”
Her broker and owner of Coldwell Banker Apex, REALTORS®, Lori Arnold’s words play in her mind as she defines her uniqueness in the realm of real estate: “Guard your time.” For Kristi, time isn’t just about hours and minutes. It’s about moments spent making a difference. She ensures each moment counts – whether helping clients find their perfect home or cultivating strong relationships.
In a world obsessed with achievement, Kristi’s definition of success is a breath of fresh air. She believes true success lies not in material possessions or career ambitions but in doing the right thing and letting the love of God guide every decision and transaction. It’s a profound philosophy that speaks volumes about Kristi’s character and values, and it’s one that many of us could stand to adopt in our own lives.
As our conversation draws to a close, I am struck by the image of Kristi Brewer as a passionate and dedicated professional. Kristi’s unwavering faith and love for her family are evident in every aspect of her work as a REALTOR®. She approaches each project with care and attention to detail, ensuring that every brick and beam reflects her belief that real estate is a dynamic opportunity for growth and personal fulfillment. Kristi’s commitment to excellence in this exciting field is a true inspiration, and I have no doubt that she will continue to be a driving force for positive change in the years to come.
