Personal Growth has been very important to me, particularly in the last 11 years. In college, I dealt with an enormous amount of anxiety and depression, and after a period of time, I couldn’t take it anymore. I remember a very specific day when I was 22 years old when I was at my breaking point. I prayed to a God (that at the time I wasn’t sure existed), and I made a commitment from that day on that I would never allow myself to feel that way anymore. I didn’t care how long it took, how hard it was, how much it would cost…I would find a way.
I started that journey with books, free online resources, daily meditations, and anything I could get my hands on that might help me get out of my trapped mind and emotions. As I got out of college, I continued that path and kept building on it. I recently did some reflecting and number crunching and realized that I have invested a large sum of money on personal development in that last seven years. Coaching, programs, seminars, trainings… You name it, I have probably done it. I don’t say that as some sort of brag, but I have just always felt deep in my soul that there is no better way to invest my money than into my own growth so I can be the best for myself, for others, and for God.
I wish I could teleport back to my 22-year-old self, so I could feel the massive change that has occurred within me in the last decade. So much growth has happened in that time. I have been blessed with so many amazing mentors and coaches, and I am so grateful for their influence on the trajectory of my life.
This last month, in two separate coaching calls from two different coaches, I got asked the same question relating to two different areas of my life. Both times, it led to an enormous breakthrough. I believe the quality of our life is determined by the quality of the questions we ask ourselves. I have been asked a lot of questions in the last 11 years… This question is by far the best question I have ever been asked: “What is not being said right now?” Simple, but profound if truly reflected upon. Now, I want you to ask yourself this question regarding one or all areas of your life. You may need to ask yourself this question several times to peel back the onion to get to what truly isn’t being said or addressed in your life that needs to be.
When you discover what needs to be said or addressed…I challenge you to take massive and immediate action on it. It’s time to move forward.
Lisa Wiggins’s journey from Central Texas to finding real estate success in DFW is nothing short of remarkable. As a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Apex and the founder of Wiggins Realty Group, she has used her entrepreneurial spirit to make the most of her career, making a positive impact on her clients’ lives while building a future for her family. Lisa’s dedication to excellence and her clients’ well-being has earned her recognition as one of the top agents in her brokerage.
Born in Double Oak near Flower Mound and raised in Temple, Texas, Lisa’s childhood was shaped by the values of hard work, integrity, and family. With a father in the automotive industry and a family history rooted in real estate investments, Lisa’s entrepreneurial spirit was ignited from an early age. “My father was in the automotive industry, so as a toddler, we moved from DFW to Central Texas where he purchased his first car dealership,” begins Lisa. “My father was the entrepreneur that I watched growing up. He started at a young age as a paper delivery boy and worked his way up to owning multiple dealership locations throughout Central Texas.” After high school graduation, Lisa went on to Texas A&M where she received her undergraduate degree. Before diving into real estate full-time, however, Lisa explored various paths, including the automotive industry and entrepreneurship. Yet, it was the genuine connection and satisfaction she found in helping others navigate the complexities of real estate that fueled her passion. “I’d rather spend my days meeting face to face with people and being of service to them,” Lisa shares.
Lisa’s journey into real estate began in April 2015, propelled by the encouragement of a close friend who recognized her innate talent for the industry. “I purchased my first home as a sophomore in college at College Station and never looked back,” Lisa reflects. It was the beginning of a career driven by passion, purpose, and a relentless commitment to service.
In 2023, Lisa ranked #6 individually out of approximately 1200 agents in her brokerage. Despite these achievements, the most
rewarding aspect of her business is the opportunity to make a positive impact on her clients’ lives. “Success is enthusiastically achieving your goals while bringing joy to others’ lives,” Lisa defines. It’s a philosophy rooted in kindness, compassion, and a genuine love for what she does.
Balancing the demands of a thriving real estate career with the responsibilities of motherhood has been one of Lisa’s greatest challenges. “I am constantly battling to find the right work/life balance,” she admits. “But while I sometimes burn the candle at both ends, I hardly ever miss putting my kids to bed or taking them to school.”
It’s Lisa’s unwavering dedication to her family and her clients that drives her forward, even in the face of adversity. Despite the challenges she’s faced, including navigating a high-risk pregnancy with her first son, Wren, Lisa remains steadfast in her belief in the power of positivity and resilience. “We learned halfway through the pregnancy that he had gastroschisis, where the abdominal wall doesn’t close up in utero and the baby’s intestines are on the outside of their body. So, we had 5 months of knowing this and preparing for our first born to have surgery as soon as he was born.” There were endless prayers from Lisa and her husband and others for their baby boy. After spending over a month in the hospital before she delivered, Wren was born and subsequently spent a month in the NICU. “While I was ridden with fear, it was my husband that poured into me. We had to have positive energy and emotions and believe the best outcome would be His will,” Lisa explains. “I wasn’t able to hold our son until 3 days after he was born, but we had the most amazing doctors and nurses and surgeons. He is now a healthy and super active 6 year old that loves all things sports and his younger brother, Truett.”
In addition to her professional achievements, Lisa finds fulfillment in giving back to her community.
Lisa is highly competent, a gifted communicator and brings excellence to her clients. And to top that off she is truly a joy to be around and work with.
- Tonja Demeret, Office Manager Plano & Flower MoundFrom donating a percentage of her commissions to St. Jude to organizing Toys for Tots events with fellow REALTORS®, Lisa’s commitment to service extends far beyond the realm of real estate.
Real estate isn’t just a career for Lisa—it’s a calling that has transformed her dreams into reality. “Real estate has made my dreams happen!” Lisa exclaims. From helping clients secure their dream homes to investing in properties for the future, Lisa’s pas sion for serving others shines through in every transaction.
As Lisa looks to the future, her goals are simple yet profound—balance, growth, and making cherished memories with her family. “Just have the right balance and don’t let life pass me by!” Lisa affirms. It’s a reminder to savor life’s precious moments and embrace each day with joy and gratitude.
Lisa Wiggins’s story serves as a reminder of the transformative power of passion, perseverance, and an enthusiasm of service over self. From her Central Texas beginnings to broader success in the DFW real estate industry, Lisa’s journey proves that if you put in 100%, any dream is possible.

Every property holds a story, and there are two agents in North Fort Worth who stand out not just for their sales figures, but for their genuine care and dedication to their clients’ dreams. Courtney Moeller and Deri Marusa, collectively known as Marusa & Moeller, are more than just real estate agents –they are dream builders and friends.
Courtney Moeller’s journey into real estate is as eclectic as her upbringing. Hailing from a childhood split between a farm in Missouri and the city life of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Courtney’s experiences shaped her into a compassionate and adaptable individual. “I lived in Missouri with my mother during the school months and in the summers I lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where my father was a talent producer. I would have moments where I would go from farm chores to next week being on a plane to meet my father at South by Southwest in Austin.” At the age of 13, she went full time to live with her father and I finished high school in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and stayed in state for college. “I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University in Management Science and Computer Systems and a secondary major in philosophy.”
After finishing her post graduate studies, Courtney became a stay-at-home mom that dedicated her free time to volunteering and eventually teaching part time. “My husband’s career had us moving around a lot so I often took up small jobs.” When her son grew up and went on to college, Courtney embarked on her career in real estate.
“I really do care where they go in life and if they achieve their dreams,” Courtney shares, reflecting on her commitment to her clients. For her, real estate isn’t just about transactions; it’s about building passive wealth and securing futures. “I want my clients to never question retirement because they were able to build passive wealth through me,” she adds, emphasizing her dedication to long-term success.
Deri Marusa, on the other hand, brings a positive attitude and a wealth of customer service experience to the table. Growing up in Denton County, Deri’s journey led her through various roles, from managing projects at a children’s swim school to embracing the dynamic world of real estate. She graduated from Lake Dallas High School and would go on to pursue a degree in business management from the University of Maryland. “I married my boyfriend from high school, John. He was in the Air Force so we had the opportunity to live in Italy for three years! Once we came back, we started a family. Once my children no longer needed a ‘mom taxi’, I decided to pursue a career in real estate.
“I’m a good listener so I can really pick up on my clients’ needs,” Deri explains, highlighting her commitment to personalized service. For her, success isn’t just about numbers; it’s about the relationships forged and the lives impacted positively.
Their partnership as Marusa & Moeller isn’t just a business arrangement – it’s a testament to their shared values of integrity, empathy, and dedication to their clients’ goals. With Courtney’s background in management science and computer systems and Deri’s degree in business management, they bring a unique blend of skills to the table, complementing each other’s strengths seamlessly.
“When a client shows me the remodel or upgrade to their land, it gives me such great joy to see the light in their eyes and how proud they are. I feel a part of it,” Courtney expresses, highlighting the joy she finds in her clients’ successes. It’s this personal investment in each client’s journey that sets Marusa & Moeller apart in a competitive market.
For Deri, success is synonymous with doing a job that you love. “You meet so many different people! I love making new friends, and clients always become new friends,” she shares, emphasizing the relational aspect of their work. Beyond the transactions, they prioritize building lasting connections, understanding that trust and communication are the cornerstones of their business.
Their accolades speak volumes about their commitment to excellence. From being named Rookie of the Year to consistently ranking among the top producers in their brokerage, Marusa & Moeller’s dedication to their craft hasn’t gone unnoticed. “We are regularly on the board for the Top Group of Two for the month, quarter, and even for the year,” Deri proudly states, reflecting on their journey of growth and achievement.
But success, for Marusa & Moeller, isn’t just measured in sales figures and awards; it’s about the impact they have on their clients’ lives. “The ability to connect with families past the transaction and watch them thrive in their lives!” Courtney exclaims, reflecting on the most rewarding aspect of their business. Beyond the contracts and negotiations, it’s the friendships forged and the dreams realized that fuel their passion for real estate.
Deri and Courtney are two of the hardest working agents I have ever met. They both are a bundle of energy who tackle each day with excitement and a smile on their faces. They heavily invest in continued learning and professional development and are always on the cutting edge of the latest and greatest tools and technology in our business. Supporting them as they launched their careers and watching them rise to the top brings me great pride. Keep grinding ladies... the world is yours!
Jason Bell, Sales Leader, Ebby Halliday DFW NorthwestBoth Courtney and Deri agree in maintaining a good work/ life balance in order to be successful in your business endeavors. Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband, who is an engineer, and her son, who is about to leave for college in Wisconsin where he will play tennis for the while studying pre-med. Courtney also enjoys gardening and traveling in her free time. Deri has been married to her husband, John, for 27 years and they have a 22 year-old daughter, Elli, and a 20 year-old-son, Beau. Deri loves to volunteer, and works with charitable organizations like Meals on Wheels and Streetside Showers. She also likes to garden, travel, and hang out watching movies with her husband.
As they look towards the future, Courtney and Deri have their sights set on expanding their real estate network and continuing to make a positive difference in their clients’
lives. “I believe in helping families build legacy from passive income to estate growth,” Courtney affirms, underscoring their commitment to long-term prosperity and success. Deri continues, “There isn’t a one size fits all system for clients. It starts by knowing how they prefer to communicate and how often. Customer service, communication and trust are paramount when you’re dealing with the largest purchase most people will make in their lifetime.”
In a rapidly evolving market like North Fort Worth, where every deal presents new challenges and opportunities, Marusa & Moeller stand out not just for their expertise but for their genuine care and dedication to their clients’ dreams. With their unique blend of skills, relentless positivity, and unwavering commitment to service, they are not just real estate agents – they are dream builders and friends, shaping futures one home at a time.
In the heart of the bustling Dallas-Fort Worth metro plex, where the complexities of mortgages and home loans swirl around like a whirlwind, Nouri Iskander stands as a beacon of hope and perseverance in the mortgage industry. Her journey, from the shores of Egypt to the heart of the United States, is a testament to the true essence of the American Dream—a journey marked by resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment to her clients and her craft.
Hailing originally from Egypt, Nouri’s path to the mort gage industry was paved with ambition and opportunity. Armed with a double degree in finance and economics, she honed her skills as a team lead and branch supervi sor in one of Egypt’s most reputable banks. However, it was love that ultimately led Nouri to embark on a new chapter in her life. “I met my husband in 2017 while he was visiting Egypt,” she fondly recalls. “I fell for him, and in 2019, just before COVID hit, I moved to DFW to marry the love of my life.”
With a newfound sense of purpose and determination, Nouri ventured into the mortgage industry, joining NEXA Mortgage LLC in February 2021. Despite facing the chal lenges posed by a global pandemic and the joys of moth erhood, Nouri’s passion for her work remained steadfast. “I had my baby in mid-2022 while still originating and processing my own loans,” she proudly shares. “It’s been a whirlwind, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
At the core of Nouri’s success lies her unwavering dedication to her clients. “Helping families achieve their dream of homeownership or assisting investors in building their real estate portfolio motivates and inspires me,” she explains. It is this personal connection and genuine care for her clients’ well-being that sets Nouri apart in a competitive industry. “I take my business very personally and treat every borrower as if they were my own family,” she emphasizes.
With a repertoire boasting 230 loan products and programs, and a dedicated team comprising her loan officer assistant, Liz Ahmed, senior processor, Irene Malan, processor, Colette Luna, and two loan officers, Nouri has forged a powerhouse team committed to delivering unparalleled service to their clients. “Having my own team makes the process smoother and faster,” she acknowledges, highlighting the significance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving success.
In recognition of her exceptional performance, Nouri was ranked as the top mortgage originator in the prestigious Scotsman Guide 2024. Additionally, she achieved the remarkable feat of being in the top 1% of loan officers at NEXA Mortgage, among 2,300 peers, and securing the coveted title of number 1 in Texas among loan officers.
Nouri attributes her success not only to her own determination and hard work but also to the unwavering support and care of her parents, Husband and sister. “My parents, husband and sister have been my rock throughout this journey,” she expresses with gratitude. “Their love, encouragement, and support have been instrumental in helping me achieve my goals.”
Nouri also acknowledges the role of her faith in God, stating, “I firmly believe that it is through God’s grace and guidance that I have been able to overcome obstacles and achieve success. Every milestone, every accomplishment—I give all the credit to God.”
For Nouri, success transcends mere numbers or accolades—it is about making a tangible difference in the lives of her clients and earning their trust and respect. “Success, to me, is when I receive
referrals from previous clients and REALTOR® partners,” she reflects. It is this unwavering commitment to excellence and dedication to her clients’ needs that has earned Nouri recognition as one of the premier mortgage brokers in the industry.
As she gazes towards the horizon, Nouri’s aspirations are crystal clear: to continue expanding her team, assisting more families in realizing their dreams of homeownership, and empowering investors to attain their financial aspirations through real estate. “Tackling tough loans and navigating challenging scenarios are my specialties,” she asserts confidently, cementing her position as the “Creative Lender.” With her resolute determination, steadfast dedication to her craft, and unwavering faith, there is no doubt that Nouri Iskander will continue to illuminate the realm of mortgages for years to come.
It was the year that COVID19 gripped the country, racial unrest took to our streets, and political divisiveness threatened the bonds among friends and family. It was also a busy year for real estate as mortgage rates fell to unprecedented levels, and for Angelo Puma, a REALTOR® with Keller Williams Realty – DFW and owner of Puma Properties, it was a time when he received confirmation that he was right where he was supposed to be.
“I was on my way to a showing one day when I passed a house with a familiar truck in the driveway,” begins Angelo, a tinge of nostalgia in his voice. The truck looked exactly like the one that had belonged to his father, whom he had passed away suddenly just 6 years earlier. After the showing was over and he passed back down that road, he stopped to get a closer look and realized that indeed, it was his father’s old truck, bearing the same bumper sticker on the back. Angelo was instantly brought back to fond childhood memories of his dad and that truck, and it was all because of real estate. “Losing my father so suddenly, it made me develop a new passion for helping other families ensure they have their estate affairs in order should something ever happen to them.” Angelo knew from that moment on that he was right where he was meant to be - having a career in real estate.
From humble beginnings to real estate success, Angelo’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Growing up in a modest home in Haltom City, Texas, Angelo’s upbringing was defined by love, resilience, and a deep appreciation for family. “We didn’t have much in today’s standards, but we had all we ever needed,” he recalls fondly. It was this strong sense of community and the unwavering support of his parents that laid the foundation for Angelo’s future endeavors.
With dreams of a brighter future and a desire to make a difference, Angelo embarked on his real estate journey while still a student at the University of Texas at Arlington. Working part-time as a REALTOR® at Century 21 - Mike Bowman’s office, Angelo juggled his studies with jobs as a sandwich
artist at Subway and an anesthesia tech at North Hills Hospital. It was a testament to his work ethic and determination to succeed against all odds.
For Angelo, real estate isn’t just a career—it’s a calling. “It’s about helping people. I’ve always centered my business around helping families and doing the right thing, no matter the cost,” he explains passionately. Over nearly two decades in the industry, Angelo’s commitment to service has translated into a thriving referral-based business built on trust and integrity.
One of the most rewarding aspects of Angelo’s business is the opportunity to walk alongside families during pivotal moments in their lives. “Getting to walk through the process with great people at various stages of life is what keeps me going,” he shares. Whether it’s guiding first-time homebuyers or supporting clients through difficult transitions, Angelo’s dedication to his clients knows no bounds.
Despite his many achievements, Angelo is no stranger to challenges. “Everyone knows a REALTOR® ... or ten,” he acknowledges. Setting himself apart in a crowded market and conveying his expertise to clients has been a constant challenge. Yet, Angelo’s commitment to honesty, professionalism, and genuine care for his clients has helped him stand out amidst the noise of social media and competition.
For Angelo, success is not just about financial gains—it’s about achieving at a level that allows him to make his family’s dreams a reality while uplifting others along the way. From his first flip property in 2009 to building a portfolio of rental properties, real estate has been the gateway to Angelo’s financial successes and a testament to the limitless opportunities it offers.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Angelo cherishes time spent with his family, including his wife, Whitney, and their daughter, Willow. Together, they enjoy surfing at a local lake and exploring the great outdoors. Angelo’s love for hunting, fishing, and wake surfing has taken him to far-flung corners of the globe, from New Zealand to Costa Rica.
As Angelo reflects on his journey, he is grateful for the wisdom and guidance that has shaped his path. “If you’re not saving for a rainy day, a rainstorm might feel like a monsoon,” he recalls, echoing the sage advice of Mike McCoy. Looking ahead, Angelo remains committed to maintaining his level of production in an ever-changing market and spending quality time with his family. Supported by Sara Thompson, his transaction coordinator for eight years, Angelo acknowledges the importance of being surrounded by a solid team which has been instrumental to his success.
Among the vast landscape of real estate agents in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Angelo Puma’s story serves as a reminder of hard work and the power of resilience. From humble beginnings to real estate success, his journey has come full circle, and his career in real estate is right where he was meant to be.
As the VP of Development/Team Leader of Keller Williams DFW Southlake, I am so grateful to have such an exceptional leader and partner at our brokerage. Angelo serves on our Associate Leadership Council and consistently inspires and motivates others to achieve their very best. His ability to lead by example sets a high standard in the industry, earning respect & admiration from peers & competitors alike. Angelo’s strategic vision and problem-solving skills allow him to achieve success in the most challenging situations. This also showcases his strong leadership qualities. Angelo’s professionalism and passion for his work make him both a standout leader in our brokerage and in the real estate industry. He deserves this featured spotlight, and we are all so proud of his continuous success!

In the vast North Dallas real estate market, where negotiating deals can take precedence over customer satisfaction, there stands someone who lives for the transition, not the transaction: Will Woods, owner and REALTOR® at Magnolia Realty. His journey is not just about buying and selling homes; it’s a narrative that blends together the elements of faith, family, and a relentless commitment to excellence.
“I believe in helping others grow their business and live incredible personal lives,” Will shares, reflecting on his passion for nurturing both professional and personal growth. For him, real estate isn’t just about transactions; it’s about transforming lives. “We built our business on our faith,” he emphasizes, underlining the foundational principles that guide every aspect of Magnolia Realty’s operations. “We are not shy about letting people know that we love the Lord and welcome the opportunities He puts in front of us.”
Growing up as a seventh-generation Texan in the DFW metroplex, Will’s roots run deep in the Lone Star State. After a successful career at Microsoft spanning 17 years, he transitioned into real estate in 2013, driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. “I love being a part of people’s lives and learning their stories,” he remarks, emphasizing his genuine connection with clients beyond mere business transactions.
Will’s approach to real estate is rooted in authenticity and service. “Your story is why you called us; I want to know that story,” he asserts, highlighting the
personalized touch that distinguishes Magnolia Realty. For Will, success isn’t measured solely by sales figures but by the impact he and his team have on their clients’ lives. “Customer satisfaction starts at a 5.0; it does not end there,” he asserts passionately, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to exceeding client expectations.
However, Will’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Learning to relinquish control and embrace collaboration was a pivotal turning point in his career. “Early on, I had to fundamentally shift into trusting others and allowing leverage to become the cornerstone of my business,” he reflects. Today, Will leads with a mindset of empowerment, fostering an environment where agents can thrive professionally while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Central to Will’s philosophy is the belief that success extends beyond professional achievements; it encompasses personal fulfillment and family harmony. “I want success in their personal lives more than their real estate businesses,” he shares, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing time with loved ones amidst the demands of a dynamic industry.
Beyond accolades and recognition, including KW Rookie of the Year, Will’s greatest joy lies in witnessing the transformation of his agents’ lives. “I have seen agents start with nothing to now having generational wealth,” he shares, highlighting the profound impact of his mentorship and support. As he looks to the future, Will remains steadfast in his
commitment to inspiring others to dream bigger and achieve their fullest potential.
Away from the boardrooms and negotiations, Will finds joy in the simple pleasures of family, faith, and leisure pursuits. “My wife of 20 years, Leslie, is also our Broker. I get to work with her every day. She is beautiful, smart, kind, caring, and a quiet leader. She has a servant heart that inspires me. Her commitment to our clients, our agents, and the details is amazing!” Will beams.
“We have two children, Taylor and Jack. Jack is a senior at Argyle High School and Taylor lives and works in Flower Mound. They are fantastic, and I am so proud of them! Whether building computers and playing video games with his son or unwinding on the shores of Orange Beach, AL, he cherishes moments of connection and relaxation amidst life’s whirlwind.
Will Woods stands as a testament to the power of faith, family, and service in
North Dallas real estate. His story is not just about selling homes—it’s about enriching lives and leaving a lasting legacy of integrity and compassion in an industry often defined by transactions. For Will, success is not merely a destination but a journey guided by faith first and passion.
