Welcome to 2025!
The calendars have flipped, the confetti has been swept away, and here we are, standing at the starting line of a brand-new year. There’s something undeniably magical about January. It’s the month where optimism runs high, where planners are filled with fresh goals, and where we truly believe—if only for a moment—that this is the year we’re going to crush it.
I love the energy that comes with the new year. Everyone seems to walk a little taller, talk a little bigger, and dream little bolder. Gym memberships spike, “eat better” Pinterest boards light up, and words like “hustle” and “focus” seem to pepper every conversation. But as inspiring as this season is, there’s one thing I’ve learned time and again: optimism alone won’t move the needle. Resolutions, no matter how wellmeaning, won’t mean much without action.
The truth is that change only happens when we get intentional—when we decide that this year will be different and commit to the steps that make it so. Whether it’s waking up earlier, showing up for that 6 a.m. workout, or saying “no” to distractions so you can say “yes” to your dreams, the results won’t come without the work. It’s not always glamorous, and it rarely feels Instagram-worthy, but it’s in those small, consistent actions where real transformation begins.
For me, 2025 is undoubtedly going to be a year of growth and transformation! I am writing this note on December 9th, 2024, but by the time the January issue hits mailboxes, I will officially be stepping into my newest and most important lifetime role: fatherhood. She isn’t here quite yet, but she ha already stolen my heart! (and soon my sleep, too, I hear).
So, as we dive into January, I encourage you to embrace both the excitement of a new year and the responsibility it brings. Dream big, but don’t stop there. Make a plan. Take the steps. Trust the process. The life you want in December 2025 will be shaped by what you do today, tomorrow, and every ordinary day that follows.
Let’s make this the year we turn optimism into action, resolutions into realities, and dreams into destinations. Here’s to a year of progress, persistence, and maybe a little more caffeine (because I know I’ll need it).
PS: The updated 2025 RP Top Agents (based on 2024 MLS production) will be announced any day now! Keep your eyes on your email and text inboxes. We are rooting for you!
Cheers to a bold and beautiful 2025!

COLIN
PAIR

FAMILY FIRST
WRITTEN BY: KATHERINE H. FONDREN
PHOTOS BY: DESIREE ROBERTS PHOTOGRAPHY
For Colin Pair, being a real estate agent is more than a career—it’s a way of life that blends his passion for helping others with his commitment to family. “Being a great father and doing something I love while providing a comfortable life for my family— that’s what success looks like to me,” Colin says with a smile.
Raised in North Arlington, Colin grew up in the heart of DFW, attending Arlington ISD schools and embracing the vibrant culture of the Metroplex. His journey into real estate, however, wasn’t a straight line. Before entering the industry in May 2018, Colin spent years in corporate sales, honing skills that now serve as a solid foundation for his thriving business. Yet, it wasn’t without challenges. “Trusting the process and staying the course was tough,” he recalls. “It took eight months before I made my first sale, but it taught me perseverance and patience.”
A Purpose-Driven Career
Colin’s drive to succeed in real estate stems from his genuine passion for helping clients navigate the often-daunting process of buying or selling a home. “The most rewarding part of my business is helping people realize their dreams, make wise investments, and build a life they can be proud of,” he explains. For Colin, it’s not about sales figures; it’s about happy clients and lasting relationships. His approach to the business is what sets him apart. “I don’t see myself as a salesman. I’m more of a consultant,” Colin shares. His clients appreciate his unbiased advice and market insights, which come from his dedication to understanding the complexities of the real estate landscape. “Providing the
best possible service and market insights is what I’m most passionate about right now,” he says.
Building a Legacy Through Family and Work
While Colin’s professional life keeps him busy, his heart is firmly anchored in his family. He and his wife, Allison, share their lives with their two children, Eleanor (7) and Connor (4). Balancing work and family is a challenge many face, but for Colin, the two go hand in hand. “I’ve always wanted my work to involve residential property,” he reflects. “Whether it’s construction, selling homes, or both, I’ve been fortunate to learn from both sides through builder clients. It’s been a fulfilling experience that also supports my family’s dreams.”
When he’s not assisting clients, Colin spends quality time outdoors, enjoying hobbies like cooking, golfing, surfing, hunting, and fishing. These moments allow him to recharge and stay grounded, ensuring he brings his best self to every aspect of his life.

Colin participated with the Bransford Elementary Dad’s Club parade float in the Grapevine Parade of Lights.

“TRUSTING THE PROCESS AND STAYING THE COURSE WAS TOUGH. IT TOOK EIGHT MONTHS BEFORE I MADE MY FIRST SALE, BUT IT TAUGHT ME PERSEVERANCE AND PATIENCE.”

“AT THE END OF THE DAY, I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED AS A GREAT FATHER AND SOMEONE WHO LOVED WHAT THEY DID.”
A Bright Future in DFW
Having grown up in the area, Colin is deeply connected to the Dallas-Fort Worth community. “DFW will always be my home,” he says proudly. He sees a promising future for the region, predicting continued growth driven by affordability and high demand. “With around 1,000 people moving to Texas daily, DFW is primed for another wave of buyers. It’s an exciting time to be part of this market.”
As he looks to the future, Colin’s goals are clear: “This year, I aim to close my highest number of transactions and volume in the same year.” His advice for aspiring real estate agents? “If you truly want this, stick with it and work your tail off.”
More Than a Career
For Colin, real estate is more than a job—it’s a way to combine his love for the industry with his dedication to family and community. As he continues to build his business, one thing remains constant: his commitment to putting family first and helping clients achieve their dreams. “At the end of the day, I want to be remembered as a great father and someone who loved what they did,” Colin says.
With his true dedication and heartfelt approach, Colin Pair is not just shaping his own future but leaving a lasting impact on the lives he touches.

JOHN WALSH & PREMIER PROPERTY MEDIA
In luxury real estate, presentation is everything. Few understand this better than John Walsh, the owner of Premier Property Media. For over a decade, John has dedicated himself to producing breathtaking images and videos that not only capture the essence of a property but also elevate
its market presence. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, John’s boutique media company has become a trusted partner for North Texas’s most discerning real estate professionals.
“Our focus has always been on providing incredible media and great service,” John explains. “We’re not about volume; we’re about quality. Every property has its own story, and it’s our job to tell it in a way that resonates.”
But it wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic brought his previous career as a tour photographer to a halt that John pivoted into real estate media full time. By a twist of fate, he met Charles Lauersdorf of Realty Pro Shots, who entrusted John with managing his company during a lengthy
military deployment. “That experience was pivotal,” John shares. “It gave me the confidence and inspiration to start my own venture when Charles returned. That’s how Premier Property Media was born.”
The ethos behind Premier Property Media is simple yet profound: deliver excellence with a personal touch. “When clients call me, they get me,” John says. “From start to finish, they can count on the same incredible quality every time. I’ve also streamlined my processes to be as efficient as possible because I know time is a luxury no one can afford to waste.”
John specializes in luxury real estate photography and videography, catering to top-tier agents, brokers, builders, and interior designers. His work

goes beyond showcasing properties—it creates a visual narrative that highlights their unique features and evokes emotional connections.
“It’s not just about pretty pictures,” John insists. “It’s about telling the story of the space. That’s what sets us apart.”
This dedication to quality has earned Premier Property Media a loyal clientele. “I believe the value I add to their business is why they stick with me,” John explains. “My goal is to ensure that everything I capture not only enhances the property but also elevates their brand.”
When asked about his definition of success, John reflects on his guiding principles: “To know in
the end that I contributed more than I took. That’s what drives me.” This mindset, paired with his favorite quote from Brandon Lee—‘The key to immortality is to first do something worth remembering’—serves as a daily reminder of the legacy he aims to build.
Outside of work, John is an adventurer at heart. Whether it’s exploring the tranquility of a lake, traveling to capture stunning landscapes, or indulging his passion for aviation, he finds inspiration in the world around him.
“These hobbies rejuvenate me,” he says. “They bring fresh perspectives to my work and remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.”
Balancing a thriving business with a fulfilling personal life is no small feat, but John approaches it with gratitude. “I structure my schedule carefully to ensure I can deliver for my clients without burning out,” he shares. “This career gives me the flexibility to embrace both creativity and freedom. That’s something I never take for granted.”
As for the future, John is focused on growth and innovation. “I’m currently enhancing my architectural photography skills to bring a new dimension to my real estate work,” he says. “The industry is always changing, and I’m excited to see where it takes me.”
For John Walsh, photography is more than
a career—it’s his passion. Through Premier Property Media, he continues to raise the bar in real estate media, blending artistry with professionalism to create stunning visuals that leave a lasting impact. “At the end of the day, it’s all about providing incredible media and great service,” he reiterates. “That’s the promise I make to every client, and it’s one I intend to keep.”
In the world of luxury real estate, where first impressions can make or break a sale, John Walsh and Premier Property Media work with precision while creating a personal connection. For those seeking to showcase their properties in the best possible light, the choice is clear.

Joey & Leidy Romero
A Legacy in the Making & Romero Group
WRITTEN BY: KATHERINE H. FONDREN

Joey and Leidy Romero, the powerhouse duo behind the Romero Group, are making their mark in North Fort Worth’s real estate scene through a combination of passion, hard work, and a steadfast commitment to their clients. Together, they bring a unique blend of cultural richness, industry knowledge, and dedication that sets them apart in a highly competitive market.
From Different Worlds to a Shared Dream
Joey and Leidy’s journey into real estate was anything but conventional. Joey grew up in Texas, but his family moved to Saudi Arabia. Joey then went to a boarding school in Rome, Italy, where he completed his high school education. This international
experience broadened his perspective, which later became an asset in his real estate career. “Meeting new people and understanding their needs,” Joey shares, “is what I love most about being a REALTOR®.” Before real estate, Joey built a successful career as an IT consultant, but the desire for change and flexibility led him to take a leap into real estate in 2020, right in the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Leidy’s path to real estate was rooted in her journey from Colombia to the United States in 2012. After spending a few years as a stay-athome mom in Grapevine, Texas, Leidy transitioned into real estate in 2018.
“Helping people achieve their dreams—whether it’s owning a home or starting
their investment journey—is what makes this career so rewarding,” Leidy reflects. Despite their different backgrounds, both Joey and Leidy are driven by a shared goal: to make a difference in people’s lives, one home at a time.
A Team with a Mission Formerly with Lily Moore Realty, Joey and Leidy together formed the Romero Group, a team known for its drive and dedication. Joey describes their approach simply: “We’re relentless. We will outwork anyone else.” They believe in setting a high standard for themselves and their business, aiming to be leaders in luxury real estate while remaining accessible and grounded. others along the way. Leidy’s goal is to “grow the business by helping more people,” while Joey envisions building a lasting legacy through client care. “We’re not just here to close deals,” Joey says. “We truly care for our clients and go the extra mile for them.”
Joey, reflecting on his years of experience, credits his success to wise mentorship. One piece of advice, from real estate mogul Ryan Serhant, particularly resonates with him: “Don’t measure wins or losses—measure opportunities.” For Joey, this philosophy has been crucial, allowing him to focus on long-term growth rather than short-term gains.
A Legacy in the Making
The Romeros are proud to say they have helped 300 clients and have done over
$100M volume in sales and listings. In addition, they have been the top agents at their brokerage since they started.
As they continue to build their brand, the Romeros are focused on leaving a legacy that’s defined not only by numbers but by the relationships they foster. Joey and Leidy’s commitment to their clients and their relentless work ethic set them apart as a team that genuinely cares. They strive to “compete with themselves,” as Joey puts it, constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Looking Ahead
Joey and Leidy Romero, renowned for their relentless work ethic and innovative approach to real estate, are now taking their vision to the next level with the
launch of K2 Omni Group. “This groundbreaking tactical systems company is set to revolutionize the Texas real estate landscape by empowering agents with cutting-edge tools, streamlined processes, and comprehensive mentorship programs,” explains Joey. With a mission to elevate industry standards and a deep commitment to client care, K2 Omni Group represents the Romeros’ next bold step in building a lasting legacy in real estate.
In a world where success is often measured by volume, the Romeros bring a refreshing perspective— success is about growth, resilience, and the impact one leaves behind. With their unique backgrounds, unyielding work ethic, and a deep-rooted passion for

The Ramsey Brothers
& MPA

Making Mortgages Memorable
For Drew and Cory Ramsey, mortgage financing is more than just a career— it’s a family legacy and a shared passion for helping others achieve the American Dream of homeownership.
As co-owners of Mortgage Professional Associates (MPA), the Ramsey brothers are redefining the mortgage experience in DFW, blending innovation, customer service, and deep-rooted values to stand out in an ever-evolving market.
“We’ve always been about relationships first,” Drew shares, reflecting on the guiding principle behind their business. “Real estate is a customer service-driven industry with so many moving parts. Our goal is to
make the process seamless for everyone involved, from buyers to REALTORS®.”
This client-first philosophy isn’t just a slogan; it’s a commitment that underpins every aspect of MPA’s operations.
A Legacy of Leadership and Service
The Ramsey brothers’ journey into the mortgage industry was inevitable, given their upbringing. Their father, a seasoned mortgage professional with over 40 years of experience, was instrumental in their career choices.
Drew recounts, “Our dad moved us from San Diego to Texas in 1998 to open a mortgage branch. He planned to stay for a year, but we fell in love with Texas and
never left. His dedication to the business and his ability to connect with people inspired us to follow in his footsteps.”
For Cory, the transition from minor league hockey and corporate consulting to mortgage lending was a natural progression. “Athletics taught me discipline, teamwork, and ambition,” he says. “Those qualities translate perfectly to this industry. After years of watching my dad and hearing his stories, I realized this was my calling.”
Built by Originators, For Originators
MPA’s unique approach sets it apart from traditional lenders. “We’re a mortgage company built by originators,

for originators,” Drew explains. “That perspective allows us to offer solutions that other lenders simply can’t. Whether it’s below-market rates, non-qualifying mortgage products, or creative financing for tricky scenarios, we find a way to make it work.”
Their innovative use of technology also gives MPA an edge. “Our technology is unmatched,” Cory adds. “It streamlines the process and enhances the experience for both clients and our referral partners. Combine that with our unbeatable culture, and you have a formula for success.”
This focus on collaboration extends to their team, which includes CEO Michael Proctor and partner Chase Bray, a highly regarded real estate broker. Together, the leadership team has created an environment where expertise and creativity thrive. “We each bring unique perspectives from different parts of the real estate industry,” Drew says. “That’s what makes us stronger.”
Family and Passion at the Core
Despite their demanding schedules, family remains a top priority for both

Drew and Cory. Drew describes his life as a “proud girl dad,” raising two daughters with his wife, Olivia, whom he met at Texas Tech University. “Easton and Emery have changed our lives in ways we never imagined,” he says. “We love spending time together, whether it’s at our cabin in Lake Tahoe or at my hockey games, where they cheer me on.”
Cory, meanwhile, relishes his role as a father to two energetic boys. “We do everything together,” he shares.
“From wrestling and playing hockey to grocery shopping, it’s all about making memories. Traveling is a big part of our lives, too—it’s our way of recharging.”
This emphasis on family values extends to their work. “Success is about treating people so well that no one can say a bad thing about you,” Drew reflects. “For us, it’s not just about closing deals; it’s about building lasting relationships.”
Goals That Inspire
Looking ahead, the Ramseys have ambitious plans for both personal and professional growth. Drew envisions hitting $40 million in production by
“WE’VE WEATHERED THE STORM IN THIS MARKET AND COME OUT STRONGER. OUR GOAL IS TO BECOME ONE OF THE MOST TRUSTED MORTGAGE BROKERAGES AROUND.”
2025 and expanding MPA’s reach with additional talented loan officers. Cory, on the other hand, focuses on fostering trust and helping more homeowners achieve their dreams. “We’ve weathered the storm in this market and come out stronger,” Cory says. “Our goal is to become one of the most trusted mortgage brokerages around.”
The brothers also share a dream of expanding their personal investment portfolio, eyeing vacation homes in Anna Maria, Florida, or San Diego’s North County. “We’re always thinking about the future,” Drew notes. “It’s about creating opportunities, not just for ourselves but for everyone we work with.”
A Bright Future
For Drew and Cory Ramsey, the journey is just beginning. Their dedication to their craft, combined with their commitment to their clients and partners, positions Mortgage Professional Associates as a leader in the industry. “Quality is the best business plan,” Drew says, quoting one of his favorite mantras. And with their blend of innovation, integrity, and family values, the Ramseys are proving just how true that is.
Their advice to anyone considering a partnership with MPA? “Give us a shot,” Cory urges. “You’ll see how personal and enjoyable we make the experience. It’s not just about getting the job done—it’s about making it memorable.”

Taeckens
Pamela COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE
Pam Taeckens has always found joy in the details. It’s evident from the way she talks about her career, her family, and even her hobbies. As a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker for the past 14 years, she’s built a reputation that beautifully balances precision with a friendly, engaging approach. Her clients know her not only as a meticulous guide through the real estate process but also as someone who’s a delight to spend time with— an essential combination
for navigating one of life’s biggest financial decisions.
Born in Oklahoma and raised in Dallas until the end of elementary school, Pam’s childhood was marked by a series of moves due to her father’s career, spanning states from Pennsylvania to Connecticut. This everchanging backdrop gave her a unique perspective early on—an understanding of the challenges and nuances of moving, which she’s carried into her real estate career. “I’ve experienced firsthand what it’s like to pack up and
settle into a new place,” she says. “I think that makes me empathetic and attuned to the stressors my clients might face.”
After graduating high school in Connecticut, she headed west to the University of Arizona, where she majored in finance. Her ensuing career in investment management and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals gave her a head start in understanding the financial intricacies of real estate. After a move relocated the family to
Southlake, Pam took time off to raise their youngest. It wasn’t until a friend suggested she work as an assistant to a REALTOR® in 2011 that Pam found herself diving into this career. “It started casually, part-time,” she recalls, “but it didn’t take long for real estate to pull me in completely.”
With her finance roots and attention to detail, Pam quickly became an invaluable asset to her clients. Still, the path wasn’t always smooth. “Selfpromotion has never been

my strength,” she admits, “and that’s a critical part of succeeding in this business.”
Yet, what Pam lacks in a natural inclination for marketing, she makes up for in her ability to foster genuine connections. Her strong communication skills and sincere interest in people have turned countless professional relationships into lifelong friendships. “Success, for me,” she explains, “is not just about closing deals. It’s about building trust and delivering service that leaves a lasting, positive impact.”
A key mentor in Pam’s journey has been Sue Barrett, her manager at Coldwell Banker. “Sue’s guidance helped shape the way I do business,” Pam says. And Pam has certainly
flourished: she holds a range of certifications, from being a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist™ to having her Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®) designation. Her accolades include multiple years as a Top Producer recognized by D Magazine, 360 West Magazine, and Fort Worth Magazine.
But it’s not the awards or titles that drive Pam—it’s the people. Her favorite part of the job is meeting new clients and guiding them through the complexities of real estate.
“Each transaction brings a new story and new faces,” she says. “I love making the process interesting and ensuring my clients feel taken care of every step of the way.” Her knack for detail and clear communication is
“She is the quiet strength behind every success, a humble soul who shines through her thoughtful actions and unwavering dedication to her clients.”

paired with a lighthearted demeanor, making what can be a stressful process enjoyable.
Even as she’s climbed the ladder of success, Pam has remained dedicated to constant learning. “I love taking classes,” she says with enthusiasm. “Real estate is always evolving, and staying on top of new trends and techniques is crucial.” This
commitment to growth is advice she frequently shares with up-and-coming real estate professionals: “Take as many classes as you can,” she encourages. “Never stop learning, and always treat people with respect.”
When she’s not working, Pam immerses herself in other passions, like gardening. A certified Texas Master Gardener, she lights

up when talking about her love of the outdoors, birds, bees, and plants. “I’m obsessed,” she laughs, “and I’m in a book club, which has been a great way to keep up with friends and share new ideas.” Travel is another love, and she’s equally at home exploring far-off destinations or
spending time with friends she’s kept close since college.
Family is at the heart of Pam’s world. She and her husband, who just celebrated their 40th anniversary, have three children and five grandchildren. “Our youngest daughter went through Carroll schools and now works as an analyst in
New York City,” she shares with pride. Their son is an engineer in Ann Arbor, and their oldest daughter works in marketing in Wisconsin.
“It’s wonderful to see them build their own lives and successful careers,” she says.
In every aspect of her life, Pam embodies kindness, empathy, and a commitment to excellence.
“I want to be remembered as someone who made people feel valued,” she reflects.
“Someone who was smart, attentive, and fun to be around.” Her work in the DFW real estate market has been transformative, and her impact—rooted in both skill and sincerity—continues to grow with each new client she serves.
As Tarrant County evolves, Pam is optimistic.
“The area has this incredible mix of a small-town feel with big-city amenities,” she says. “I see only growth in the future, and I’m excited to be part of it. In a profession that demands resilience, expertise, and an authentic love for people, Pam Taeckens stands out as a true gem, leaving an indelible mark on both her clients and her community.
