Registration Policies & Guidelines
Uh-oh, we had to cancel:
Regrettably, if a minimum number of registrants is not met, we may have to cancel or combine classes due to insufficient registration. These decisions are made prior to the course start date. Please register early to avoid disappointment. A 100% refund is granted when we cancel a program. When a class has been cancelled due to instructor illness or weather conditions, a class will be added on at the end of the session. If this is not possible, you will be issued a refund in the amount of the missed class.
Oops, changed your plans?:
A refund will be issued if we receive applicable withdrawal notification. Programs, lessons, camps and certification courses require seven (7) or more days’ notice prior to course start date. If appropriate notice is not given, no refund will be issued. There may be other exceptions to these guidelines. In some cases, these exceptions will be noted in the individual course description. To request a refund, please contact the facility that is offering your program. All refunds are subject to a $5 processing fee.
Extended Illness / Injury and Missed Classes:
Please stay at home when you’re sick, even if symptoms are mild. In cases of extended illness or injury, a prorated refund may be granted upon provision of a medical note. Classes missed due to vacation, or other reasons will not be refunded.
Sorry, the course is full:
If a program is full, please ask staff to put your name on our waitlist. We will do our best to accommodate those waitlisted.
Customer Satisfaction:
We care about your experience in our programs. Please contact one of our Programmers directly to discuss any questions, comments, or concerns that you have with our recreation programs.
Refunds:
Payments made by credit card will be refunded by the initial payment method. Payments made by cash, cheque, or debit will be refunded by cheque; please allow a minimum of two weeks’ processing time.
Non-Sufficient Funds:
A processing fee of $5 will be charged on all N.S.F. payments.

Our Winter Break Camp offers kids a chance to enjoy classic camp activities like crafts, games, and sports in a safe, active, and engaging environment. Campers will also get to hit the ice for a fun skating session - just don’t forget to bring a helmet! Each day is packed with exciting activities designed to keep kids moving, creating, and connecting with friends during the festive season. As we’ll be on the go, please ensure your child comes prepared with plenty of water, a big healthy lunch, snacks, warm clothing, and a hat. It’s the perfect way to enjoy winter break - full of fun, friends, and holiday cheer!

Pranayama (Breath Control) Workshop
Learn to calm your nervous system, boost your energy, and improve cardiovascular health with breath control. In yoga, prana is described as our vital life force; the channel of energy that starts at the base of the spine and moves up through the sushumna, or the central energy channel of the body. Pranayama is the practice of stimulating, regulating, and balancing this life force energy through breathing techniques that activate the parasympathetic nervous system, bring about calm and allow for physical healing to take place, improve lung capacity and cardio health, and help to provide mental clarity and emotional stability. In this workshop, you will be guided through various pranayama techniques, learn their purpose, and how you can use them in your everyday life to improve overall mental, physical, and emotional health. Join us and harness the power of your breath!

Easing Difficult Conversations Around Death & Dying
As the saying goes, “Nothing is certain but death and taxes” and yet in Western society, death is a topic to be avoided - and when broached, makes most people feel ill at ease. This unease can be further accentuated when we want to talk about our own death. Having open conversations about our death is crucial for many reasons, among them ensuring that our end-of-life desires are known and honoured, and that practical matters can be discussed and addressed. This workshop will provide you the tools to have these conversations in ways that can ease the burden on loved ones, help prevent misunderstandings and disagreements especially around financial matters and care decisions, support grieving, and even strengthen relationships. It also enables you to be an active participant in creating your own legacy.
