Cowichan Aquatic Centre

Serving the Cowichan area, our flagship facility features a fullfeatured aquatic venue that includes a wave pool, lazy river, twin water slides, 8 lane 25-metre competitive lap pool, steam room, sauna and swirl pool. Additionally, we feature an abundance of fitness classes, a full fitness centre, meeting spaces, birthday parties and more.

Serving North Cowichan and the surrounding area, this arena provides an excellent ice skating surface, two meeting rooms, and ample parking to handle a variety of activities. In addition, it is home to a variety of programs and is the recreation base for the communities of Chemainus and Crofton.

If you have questions in regard to our refund information, please give us a call at 250.746.7665 (Cowichan Aquatic Centre) or 250.246.3811 (Fuller Lake Arena).

Medical Withdrawals:

In cases of extended illness or injury, a prorated refund or credit may be granted upon the provision of a medical note Classes missed due to sickness, vacation, or other reasons will not be refunded or credited

We have to cancel:

A 100% refund is granted when we cancel a program (instructor illness, facility closure, etc.). If a class has to be cancelled, an additional one will be added at the end of the session whenever possible.

Refund Processing:

Payments made by credit card will be refunded to the initial payment. Payments made by cash, cheque, or debit will be refunded by cheque. Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks’ processing time.

Join us for a guided pole walking session that blends fitness with cultural connection to the land Walking has always been a meaningful way for people to gather, move, and share in community, and this activity continues that tradition in a modern, accessible form. With or without poles, you’ll enjoy the rhythm of movement, the beauty of the natural landscape, and the shared experience of walking side by side.

Led by a certified pole walking instructor, personal trainer, and experienced trail runner, you’ll also learn tips on technique and equipment to support your wellness journey Registration required

A uniquely fun interval class! You'll swing kettle bells in various sequences and styles to get your heart pumping and use a variety of equipment to tone and strengthen your muscles

Aqua Burn

Cardio, Cardio, Cardio…This all-level class includes warm up, cardio, strengthening, abs, and a cool down. Taught in cooler pool

Aqua Dance

Get ready to move, splash, and smile with uplifting Latin, salsa, and global rhythms all in the water! No experience needed, just bring your good vibes Low impact, high energy, and pure joy with Connie for 45 minutes of dance fun!

Arthritic Flow

Recovering from an injury, surgery, or have limited mobility? A gentle warm-up followed by range of motion exercises, a warm down, and relaxing stretch. Taught in warm pool.

Aqua Fit

This all-levels class includes warm-up, cardio, strengthening, abs, and a cool down. Taught in the cooler pool. Some classes may be taught in the deep water with floatation belts.

Aqua Lunch

In the cooler pool, this great lunch time workout is 45 minutes and includes cardio, strength, and a cool down.

Aqua Spin

Tethered to the lane line and performing simulated spin exercises - this program is a great toning & cardio workout. Cooler pool.

Aqua Therapy

This is good for those living with arthritis, lower back pain, fibromyalgia or recovering from acute illness or surgery. Includes range of motion, muscle conditioning, and 10-15 minutes of gentle cardio Work at your pace, taught in warm pool

Aqua Yoga

Develop strength and balance with this relaxing form of aquatic exercise Aqua Yoga is low impact, performing Yoga poses in warm water

Reconditioning

This is great for those who are looking for a little more of a challenge but still requiring some therapy This class includes 15-20 minutes cardio with range of muscle conditioning, strengthening, and stretching. It will help you take on some of the other aquatic fitness classes Taught in warm pool

Water Fit

Taught in the warmer pool, these easy-to-follow moves use the water as resistance, is non-impact core & strength challenging as well as fun

Gentle Fit

A group fitness class that combines cardio and strength intervals with emphasis on functional and/or integrated weight bearing techniques. This class is suitable for beginners and those returning to fitness.

Spin

Do you know that spin classes are a fun way to boost your cardio without extreme impact on your back, legs, and joints? Spin classes can be a great way to get a vigorous workout especially during the off-season Participants determine their own levels of exertion.

Fuller Lake Trekkies

Enjoy a low-impact, scenic workout no equipment needed You can walk with or without poles Using poles adds an excellent upper-body workout and helps improve posture. There are designated petfriendly days, so you can bring your furry companion along The session is led by a certified pole walking instructor who is also a personal trainer and experienced trail runner, offering expert advice on pole selection and setup if you choose to choose them

Celebrate your birthday party in the pool during our Everyone Welcome Swim!

These packages include admissions, party invitations, tables, chairs, birthday tablecloth and 1 party cup decoration. Jump into the pool either before or after your room booking. Please see full facility schedule for hours of operation.
