The Crofton Outdoor Pool is open from the end of June through late July. It features a 20-yard, 4 lane heated pool complete with changerooms, showers and a small diving board. Each year we offer length swimming, fitness classes and fun swims for kids and youths.

Serving North Cowichan and the surrounding area, this park provides an excellent beachfront area, tennis courts, pickleball courts, beach volleyball courts, changerooms and playgrounds. There is a roped off swim area, along with a floating dock, which is lifeguarded seasonally late June through late August.
Fuller Lake Park hosts a beachfront roped off swimming area, picnic tables, tennis courts, beach volleyball court, a floating dock, changerooms and washrooms.
Inflatable toys are not permitted in the roped off swimming area.
Any camps using the swimming area must call or email in advance to ensure lifeguard coverage

What happens when a program, camp, or rental is cancelled:
From time to time we all end up with unexpected emergencies or interruptions.
If we must cancel:
Regrettably, if a minimum number of participants is not met, we may have to cancel or combine classes due to insufficient registration. These decisions are made prior to the course start date. Please register early to avoid disappointment. A 100% refund is granted when we cancel a program. When a class has been cancelled due to instructor illness, weather conditions, or facility interruptions, a class will be added on at the end of the session whenever possible. If this is not possible, you will be issued a refund in the amount of the missed class.
Your plans have changed; You have to cancel:
A refund will be issued if we receive the applicable withdrawal notification. Programs and lessons require five (5) or more days’ notice prior to the course start date. Camps, certification courses, and facility bookings require seven (7) or more days’ notice prior to the course start date. If appropriate notice is not given, no refund will be issued. The Lifesaving Society’s Bronze Cross begins the transition from lifesaving to lifeguarding and prepares candidates for responsibilities as Assistant Lifeguards Candidates strengthen and expand their lifesaving skills and begin to apply the principles and techniques of active surveillance in aquatic facilities. Bronze Cross emphasizes the importance of teamwork and communication in preventing and responding to aquatic emergencies Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for advanced training in the Society’s National Lifeguard and leadership certification programs.

This is designed for School District employees working with children with special needs. A quick swimming evaluation that includes an entry into the water, a 50meter swim (two lengths of the pool), treading water or basic surface support, and a review of basic reaching assists. A certificate is included once the candidate has completed this 15-minute session.
