Rangers’ Corner This year, our ranger staff endured many changes. We had one ranger pass away, a couple of rangers retire, a chief resign, and a virus that changed how the community was run. Despite all that, we managed to promote Regina Williams to chief, hire two new rangers, and get our staff back to a semblance of normality.

We are fortunate in Locust Lake to have a security staff that is well-trained, conscientious, and dedicated to the safety of the community. Regina has made several changes in the daily operations, updated equipment, and added new equipment to better serve our residents. We now have daily traffic patrols, and we are stringently enforcing speeding and stop sign infractions. Our goal is to make our roads safe for our children, grandchildren, and pets. Regina has also made sure all our rangers became certified in first aid and CPR. Locust Lake Village is one of the safest communities in the Poconos in which to live. Our rangers work hard at protecting our properties, keeping our roads safe, patrolling our lakes, and we can be assured that when we go to bed at night, they are looking after us. So, when you see them on the road, wave to them, and if you can, thank them for all they do for us.
For 34 years I told you I’d let you know when it was time.
