LLV Celebrates Independence Weekend
Although Saturday’s weather postponed the golf cart parade until Sunday, we were still able to have a full weekend of celebration. We had over 50 runners and walkers show up for our first LLV 5k(ish), and Isaac Lambert took first place for time completing the run in 26 minutes and 31 seconds. Following the run we had our golf cart parade where our villagers continue to display their creativity and craftiness in their decorations for their carts. After our run and parade, our villagers then settled in for our Independence Day clam bake picnic and finished out the night with music from the DJ, Gary Smith. Finally, we hosted old-fashioned games for some of the children of Locust Lake Village on the holiday Monday, where they enjoyed sack races, three-legged races, water balloon tosses and more.
