ith your help, NHHR distributed more than 546 backpacks to students for the new school year! A big thank you to all! Mary, a single parent, was referred to NHHR’s Stable Families Program through a Bridgeport housing program. Mary needed help when she lost her job as a nursing assistant. While Mary is receiving unemployment, she has little leftover after paying her rent and utilities. The Back to School Supplies Drive ensured Mary’s children had backpacks and school supplies to start the school year. Mary told NHHR, “The school supplies are just what my kids need to prepare for the school year!”
