Manifold system for O&G extractions HORIZON Technology, a leading supplier of automated sample preparation systems for the analysis of organic compounds and Oil & Grease (O&G) Testing, offers the SPE-Z Prep manifold system for the extraction of semi-volatile/non-volatile organic compounds and oil & grease (hexaneextractable material). The SPE-Z Prep vacuum manifold system is designed for high productivity disk solid phase extraction (SPE) work. It is an excellent first step into SPE for a laboratory moving away from less efficient liquid-liquid extraction of semi-/nonvolatile analytes and O&G from a water sample. The manifold will allow one to use highquality Pacific O&G and Atlantic SPE
disks from Horizon Technology in an easyto-use three-position unit. The system offers the flexibility to choose optimal size disks (47 or 100mm) and pre-filters to process a wide range of water samples, including those with heavy particulate. The system also offers the possibility of connecting several units together to increase operator efficiency.
