Program Guide 9TH ANNUAL NEW HOPE FILM FESTIVAL

JULY 20-29, 2018

! New Hope Film Festival, Ltd., 6542-A Lower York Rd., #219, New Hope, PA 18938

June 1, 2018

Welcome to the 9th Annual New Hope Film Festival! A heartfelt thank you to our filmmakers, sponsors, vendors, members of the media, the New Hope Arts Center team and all of the other stakeholders who make this annual event so enduring and successful. We have a hard time believing we will be heading into our tenth year as soon as we close the Awards Ceremony Gala on Sunday, July 29th. This year, we are screening 80 outstanding films from 12 countries and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Additionally, we are in the second year of an ambitious upgrade project, a plan that has included purchasing and managing our own audio-video equipment and, in May 2018, launching a brand-new website. This is the first all-new website we have created since our founding in 2009. We have more exciting changes in store over the next 12 months. Please follow us on social media for the latest updates. We hope you will join our celebration of independent filmmaking. Many of our artists plan to attend their screenings and Q&A sessions—you will have opportunities to engage your heart and mind in a setting that is much different from watching a film at home or in a movie theater. By bringing so many talented people together at one place and time, we are offering every participant a fleeting and truly special experience. All the best, D. F. Whipple Executive Director New Hope Film Festival
