WELCOME

Bibby Line Group is a diverse, international business, proud to deliver flexible customer solutions since 1807.

Our purpose is to grow the long-term value of the Group.

Guided by our shared values, we are custodians of the family business for future generations, creating a diverse Group of innovative companies that develop colleagues, delight customers and give back to communities.

A brand is more than just a logo or a corporate identity system. It is a person’s gut feeling about an organisation, from clients and competitors to colleagues and partners.

Our Identity Guidelines underpin what we stand for as a Group. They define how to represent Bibby Line Group internally and externally, what our characteristics are, and what makes us different to our competitors.

Following these visual and tonal guidelines will ensure a level of quality and consistency through all of our communications.

PRIMARY LOGO USAGE

Exclusion Zone

The BLG logo is the most recognisable brand asset. It is vital it is applied consistently wherever it appears.

The Group identifying subline font has been updated in accordance with the brand update.

Do not display the logo too small. The minimum size is 30mm across.

Subsidiary logos

To improve continuity across the Group, adjusted logo assets are available from the Bibby Line Group Hub for all subsidiaries with consistent font, weight and tracking. Updated Group logos are available should they be required and are not compulsory depending on subsidiary branding agreements.

ALTERNATIVE PRIMARY LOGO USAGE PRIMARY TYPEFACE

White logo

The white logo is to be used when the background is dark, to ensure there is high contrast between Bibby Line Group wording and background.

The Bibby Line Group flag must remain in the colour-correct red with black and yellow emblem.

Things you must not do

• Alter the colour of the logo text

• Squeeze/manipulate the logo

• Alter the flag colour

• Stack the text under/ above the flag

• Alter the font group

External-facing typography

Montserrat is our primary typeface to be used on all external/ designed marketing communications.

A geometric sans-serif it is a characterful typeface that is both professional and approachable. Legible and modern, the lighter weights work for text and the bolder weights make for compelling display styles.

This is the typeface used for the updated Bibby Line Group logo subline.

Building marketing resources

Good photography makes all the difference in effective and eye-catching communication.

Things to do

• Check the quality, lighting, contrast

• Store the high-res version for future marketing use

• Show people – our colleagues are key to the brand when possible

• In portraits, people should look professional and approachable

• Don’t use blurred, pixilated or low-res images

• Don’t crop individuals

PHOTO LIBRARY ICONOGRAPHY

Using icons effectively

Icons are used to suit the purpose and develop communications. A scalable, coherent style has been developed with increasing detail depending on the space available. The style is clean, modern and should complement the message.

Icons should be used in presentations, infographics or online to communicate complex information in a more simple, relatable way.

An icon vector library is being developed and available through the Bibby Line Group Hub.

SMALL ICONS

SIMPLE SHAPED ICONS TO SUPPORT AND DIRECT CONTENT. EACH SUBSIDIARY HAS THEIR OWN ICON.

LARGE ICONS

LARGER MORE COLOURFUL ICONS WITH ENHANCED DETAILING AND SHADOWS ARE USED TO BRING COMMUNICATIONS TO LIFE.

Bibby Line Group skyline

A simple but effective branding element showing the forward movement of BLG, but grounded in the company’s heritage. The Liverpool skyline motif is to be displayed on all letterheads, comp slips and business cards.

Whichever social media platform is used – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn – should adhere to the following visual guidelines:

• Bibby Line Group flag to be used for profile roundels to fill the space with a bold, clear branded element

Working together as a Group allows us to more effectively grow our brand. Co-branding opportunities in external communications for a joint project should represent both companies and follow an agreed upon reference to those involved.
