Summer 2025

Welcome

It has been an amazing start to the season, and we have been gratified to see the very positive comments from holiday homeowners and their guests about the changes we have carried out.

I am on the park regularly and always feel pleased by the positive comments you share with me.

We have experienced a very hot and humid couple of months, and the forecast for summer looks very promising, so I hope you all enjoy what we have planned. The entertainment timetable on the adjacent page highlights the variety of activities for this next quarter.

I hope this summer brings you, your family and friends wonderful memories of your time with us, here at Forest Park.

Fun for all the family

Talk of the Fairy Trail!

Featuring tiny wooden houses hidden in trees for children to discover and, if fortunate, catch a glimpse of fairy inhabitants and their ‘tree face folk’ neighbours, our fairy trail is an attraction we are proud to share with families. Particularly popular among our young holidaymakers, their celebration of International Fairy Day (24th June) at the Park earned us national media coverage in North Norfolk News!.

Our deer friends Alongside you all, our wonderful human guests, we feel very lucky to also be regularly visited by some beautiful Muntjac deer! Wishing to welcome them even further, we have now incorporated a Deer Feeding Station, so, if you’re lucky, you can make some four-legged woodland friends during your stay.

Presentation of your holiday home

Forest Park is extremely proud to have won the David Bellamy Award for 21 consecutive years. Our aim is to ensure we do everything possible to continue deserving this accolade.

Our holiday home owners play a big part in making this happen. We are therefore asking you all to present your plot, holiday home and decking to the best standard possible. Here are some ideas:

Plot planting

Have you thought about planting flowers and shrubs on which bees and butterflies thrive? We prefer planting in pots, as it enables our team to maintain the grounds around your holiday home Some options to consider include:

• Lavender: Its perfumed scent and purple flowers are a big hit with beneficial insects – and the Muntjac deer don’t like the taste of it, so leave it alone!

• Honeysuckle: A vigorous climber with long, tubular flowers rich in nectar, visited by butterflies and bumblebees during the day – and moths at night.

Holiday home cleanliness

Keeping your holiday home clean

of algae and ensuring it is sparkling bright makes a big difference to the appearance of your plot. We have negotiated the best prices with some preferred cleaning contractors, so drop into reception to book your clean.

Decking presentation

The decking on your holiday home plays a big part in its overall appearance. A simple clean and coat of decking oil can be all it takes. We are asking that owners only oil their decking, as this ensures the longevity of the timber and presents the decking to the best standard.

Driveways

We are encouraging all owners to take advantage of our driveway scheme. This is an attractive offer, providing an eco-friendly process and a practical and smart finish. Please get in touch should you wish to find out more.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Not only will this enhance the habitat for wildlife but it will also improve the Park’s appearance – creating an even more beautiful place for you all to enjoy.

Part-exchanging your holiday home

Have you ever considered upgrading your holiday home?

We have a fantastic range of both new and pre-owned options for you to choose from – as well as the ability to source other options from elsewhere.

Don’t forget, all part-exchanges include the following:

• Forest Park Gold Standard Package

• Owner loyalty prices

• Hassle-free move

• Full plot revamp & presentation

Many of you have already taken us up on some fantastic opportunities and we would love to talk to more of you about how we can help you take the next step in your ownership journey at Forest Park.

If you would like to have a chat about how it all works, or if you have seen a holiday home you like, please get in touch and we would be more than happy to help.

New Staff

May we introduce two new members of our staff.

Please meet the Foresters key people, Olly and Sara. Olly is the Forest Park Bar Manager and Sara is the Complex Manager.

Heading up a very formidable team of happy and enthusiastic staff, they are responsible for the amazing food and entertainment within the Complex and have some very exciting plans for using it as a social hub, which we look forward to rolling out to you over the coming weeks.

A real dream team, both are committed to providing all of our holiday home owners and guests the very best quality service and experience, so please say hello when you come across them next.

Once you’ve enjoyed your stay with us, please don’t forget to leave us a positive review on Tripadvisor! Spreading the word about everything we have to offer here at Forest Park can really help our business to thrive, so we always appreciate it.

From its location (next to the Foresters) to its offerings, the Village Shop really is at the heart of our site. Selling everything from freshly made honey, produced in our on-site hives, and locally sourced products – such as fresh meat, ice cream, beers and handmade cakes – to hot and cold drinks, (including freshly brewed coffee), and newspapers.

Village Shop

Open from 9am-5pm Monday-Saturday and 9am-4pm on Sundays through to October, we stock all the essentials you could need.

Forest Park in the press

As we hope you can all recognise, we here at Forest Park are striving hard on a journey to enhance our overall park offering. The significant investments we continually make in our Park are evidence of this. For example, our 3.91k Circular Walk, between Overstrand and Cromer, gives a unique and fantastic view of the landscape designed by Humphry Repton – described as the successor to landscape gardener, Capability Brown.

When we started here, no one knew of the Repton landscape, as you couldn’t see it; now, we are so pleased to be opening it to all. There must be these open spaces for people because of the dangers that exist when walking on privately owned farmland, which often isn’t appropriate for public use.

Our Walk is of regional significance and gives us the chance to retell local history about the area, as well as promote its fabulous flora and fauna – offering

people the most stunning setting to enjoy. This footpath project was partly funded through Defra’s Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme and is the result of years clearing overgrown land in more than 100 acres, with our CEO Simon applying for planning permission to install fences and gates along the route.

This is a real labour of love – and a 20-year-long dream that has finally come true – for Simon, and we are so grateful that our efforts have been recognised in the press – via an article in Norfolk Magazine.

Highlights from social media

Here are some highlights from our social media to showcase the exciting things happening on and around the park…

Our dedicated and approachable team are committed to making sure your stay is a great opportunity to make memories and an unforgettable experience.
