MEALS ON WHEELS Delivers a hot, nutritious midday meal Monday-

Friday to qualifying clients. Meals are prepared fresh daily in NSC’s kitchen and delivered to homedound clients by dedicated volunteers. WHO QUALIFIES FOR MEALS ON WHEELS?

To qualify, individuals are age 60+ and/or physically disabled; they may be homebount, unable to prepare an adequate meal, have a chronic disease or condition, be recovering from an illness or injury, or be very frail & lacking family support.

HOW DO I ARRANGE TO RECEIVE MEALS? For meal delivery in the City of Newark, call NSC at 737-5747. For meal delivery in the Greater Newark area, call City Fare Nutrition Program: 421-3727 General Information about Meals on Wheels can be obtained by calling Meals on Wheels Delaware: (302)656-3257

HOW MUCH DOES THIS SERVICE COST?

Clients make a donation toward the cost of their meals based on their individual financial situation. Meals on Wheels staff work with clients to establish suggested donation levels.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MEALS?

Your Meals on Wheels provider will send a monthly statement to the client or designated family member showing how many meals the client received and what the donation should be.

WHO CAN REFER A PERSON FOR MEALS ON WHEELS? Anyone can refer another

individual for Meals on Wheels - Family members, friends, caregivers, churches, doctors, nurses... Partial funding received from City of Newark, United Way & Meals on Wheels DE

“LET’S DANCE” GROUP

Thursdays, 4:00pm - 6:00pm Join us at our festive dance party each week in the Evergreen Ballroom. Come to socialize, listen to great music, maybe even dance! Waltz, Polka, Rumba, Swing, Fox Trot, etc....we have Big Band, Latin and up-to-date dance music. We also feature various simple line dances (no partner needed).
