Dear Friends,

The holiday season is upon us. I hope that during this time you find a sense of peace and joy. The past 9 months have made staying connected to your family, friends and neighbors quite challenging. For many, the phone has been our salvation. Others have been able to gather in person in a safe way. Some have turned to virtual get togethers. We are all trying to make the best of challenging times. It has been 5 months since the Center reopened in August. If you are participating in any activities, you know that many things have changed. Because of restrictions, capacity limitations, preregistration, etc., the staff is constantly evaluating programming. One of our biggest problems is that we try to keep everyone happy. One of our biggest challenges is keeping everyone happy. If we could wave a magic wand, we would have several larger spaces to accommodate all groups safely.

We are so grateful that many of you have returned and are very appreciative of the effort put forth by staff to reopen the Center. As we finish up 2020 and move into 2021, please know that we will continue to try to offer programs and services as safely as possible. Things will continue to change as we try to safely expand programming. Some program offerings will not be possible until we get “back to normal. I wish you all a safe, happy and healthy holiday season. Take care,

RECURRING PAYMENTS

In October 2020, NSC began offering the option to enroll in recurring payments for your Fitness Center and Pool/Group Exercise memberships. This means you don't have to keep track of when your memberships expire, your credit card information will be stored securely and will be charged automatically on a monthly or quarterly basis. Forms are available in the pool, fitness center and at the Reception Desk. Complete and return the form to Jessica Feinberg, Development Director or Katie Rivera, Program Director.

If you become ill with COVID within 2 weeks of visiting NSC, please notify us at 737-2336 x115 or cgrygiel@newarkseniorcenter.com. The preregistration for various activities will allow us to provide contact tracing information to the state.

THE NSC DOES NOT SELL OR GIVE ITS MEMBERSHIP LIST.
