LEMON MYRTLE BUSH MEDICINE to make at home

W

e love lemon myrtle as it smells incredible…like a citrus lemony zing, that’s so fresh and awakening. Let’s make some easy bush medicine today and enjoy this aromatherapeutic plant at home!

The Australian native tree Backhousia citriodora grows so well in South East Queensland. I had the privilege of visiting Lyndell’s Chemical Free Farm in Palmwoods, where she has 60 tress growing and we were talking about the beauty of lemon myrtle and how you can use it at home.

Today I want to share with you this recipe for lemon myrtle oil you can make at home and use in the kitchen or on your body.

Lemon Myrtle Oil Recipe Take a big handful of fresh lemon myrtle leaves and crush gently with your hands so that the volatile oils start to be released.

Now place in a big jar and top up with your favourite oil. Today we used olive oil. Allow to sit and marinate for two weeks to two months. Then when you think it’s ready, simply strain /filter the leaves and make sure you get all the liquid out of the leaves. You are now left with a beautiful aroma filled bottle of oil.

Use the oil in cooking, salad dressings, stir fries or massage oil/body oil. The smell is fresh and citrusy, the oil is nourishing and delicious.

Traditionally using the oil on your skin helps reduce blemishes, cold sores, acne and helps heal any small infections on the skin as well

What happens if I

IGNORE the basics?

W

hen speaking with clients in the clinic, we always discuss a few gut-health basics to follow for optimal wellbeing. These basics might sound simple, but they’re often easy to forget when life gets busy.

These are the foundations we should all follow each day, because every little thing you do now to preserve and maintain your health really makes an impact later in life.

What if I…..don’t drink enough water? The minimum daily water requirement is 2.25 litres for women and 2.5 litres for men to properly flush cellular waste from your system. Sure, you can get by on less water each day, but when you find out what happens to your body, you’re going to think it’s pretty gross. To make up for any deficit in water intake, your body looks for water to re-use. The first place it draws water from is the waste in your colon.

So when you don’t drink enough,

you’re basically recycling poo water back into your bloodstream! And make no mistake, this isn’t pure filtered water – it’s filled with the toxins from your poop that you should be eliminating.

Pretty disgusting thought, hey!

What if I…..eat too much meat?

Did you know that eating more than 700g of red meat per week increases your chance of bowel cancer? And the cancer risk increases by 1.18 times for every 50 grams of processed meat you consume per day? But when we consume too much meat, the first issue you’ll probably come across is chronic constipation. Animal protein is quite difficult for your body to digest, and it can take a good 3-4 days to leave your body – even longer if your fibre intake is inadequate. Remember, fibre is the broom that sweeps the non-fibre foods, like meat, out of your colon.

Adults should aim for a fibre intake of about 25-30 grams per day. I like to

suggest keeping animal protein to no more than 10% of your daily intake, and adding extra fresh produce to keep your gut happy.

What if I…..don’t eat 5 serves of veggies and 2 serves of fruit daily?

Speaking about fibre, we all know that fresh produce is one of the best sources. But what happens if you don’t eat your recommended 5 & 2 each day? Well, constipation for starters!

These recommendations are made for a reason – to ensure you get enough bulk in your stool to prevent blockages.

here is a lot of buzz around superfoods, but what makes one food more super than another? While perhaps the term “superfood” is more of a marketing strategy than anything else, they do inspire us to take a look at our diet and use food to support health. The aim of a superfood is to be nutrient-dense (lower caloric intake containing a larger number of nutrients) rather than energy-dense (higher caloric intake with fewer nutrients). Going off this, a number of common, everyday foods such as vegetables, nuts and seeds, qualify as super too! Each superfood presents us with a different nutrient profile and therefore, can support different areas of health. So perhaps rather than focusing on adding one exotic berry to your diet as a cure-all, our time, energy and finances may be better spent creating a diet full of variety. Here are my top three everyday superfoods: 1.Eggs (Free range organic of course) Recent research shows that consuming

eggs promotes health. Eggs are an easily digestible source of protein. In clinical practice, I often find that many people lack good quality protein in their diet. Protein is such a vital macronutrient for so many different bodily functions, in particular, immune function, neurotransmitter production (mental health), blood sugar control and hormonal health. Eggs also contain a number of vitamins and minerals including vitamin D, A, B12, zinc, selenium, as well as, choline which is a brain boosting nutrient. Eggs have both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

Consuming 1-2 eggs per day is super!

2. Brassica Vegetables Cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, collard greens, tunis, brussels sprouts - all of these are a part of the brassica vegetable family. Not only are brassica veggies high in vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, E, folate, and calcium, they are rich in phytonutrients, such as sulforaphane, that have been shown to be antioxidant,

anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic.

Brassica veggies can enhance phase II liver detoxification, which is why (along with its fibre content) I use these vegetables as a hormone balancing strategy in clinical practice all the time. Plus, who doesn’t need a little bit of extra liver support these days? Ideally consume about 1cup/day.

3. Garlic Don’t be afraid of garlic-breath!

Consuming garlic has an endless list of health benefits. The abundance of vitamins and minerals creating its stellar nutrient profile, along with its active constituent, allicin, makes it a powerful food-asmedicine. . BASE INGREDIENTS

3-4 Tbsp melted butter, ghee or coconut oil FILLING INGREDIENTS

1 ½ cups of raw cashews (soaked until soft) 1/2 cup melted coconut oil 1/2 cup coconut cream

1/2 cup fresh lime juice (or lemon juice) 2 Tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice 1/2 cup pure maple syrup 1 tsp vanilla powder or 1 Tbsp vanilla extract 1 tsp tequila or gin (optional) Pinch of sea salt

Method Line a square slice tin or round cake tin with baking paper. Blend the granola and melted butter together to combine.

Press the mixture evenly into the lined tin. Place in the fridge to set. Add all of the filling ingredients to a food processor or Thermomix and blend on high until completely smooth. Scrape down the sides and reblend. Pour the filling over the base and chill in the fridge overnight. Garnish with fresh berries, fresh mango or whatever fruit is in season if desired, a touch of lime or lemon zest. Slice, serve and enjoy! www.primalalternative.com

ating fresh nutritious food is vital in these pandemic times of high stress and focus on our health. Growing your own vegetables at home is the easiest way to be sure that they are fresh and nutrient dense.

The many Community Gardens and City Farms around the country provide space for you to grow your own fresh vegetables even if you don’t have space at home. Many of them also run educational activities which can give you the knowledge and confidence to do it.

Northey Street City Farm aims to help people in Brisbane to live a healthy and sustainable life by providing the inspiration, information, and the materials they need to begin that journey.

The Farm is a green oasis in inner – city Brisbane and the place to learn more about sustainable living, to buy plants and supplies to grow your own fruit and vegetables from the City Farm Nursery, or to buy them direct from the farmers at the Sunday Organic Farmer’s Market. The Farm has 1500 mature trees and shrubs, around 80 raised garden beds, worm farms, chicken runs, native and European beehives, and demonstration plantings. The plantings include a native cabinet timber woodlot, native useful plants windbreak, riverine rainforest, a variety of bamboos, and subtropical and tropical fruit trees.

Northey Street City Farm provides

education for people of all ages.

For adults we offer Sustainable Living Workshops most Saturdays, with experienced and inspirational presenters. Gardening workshop topics range from beekeeping, to growing mushrooms, to growing vegetables seasonally. For more in-depth information we offer Permaculture Design Courses and other short courses on weekends. Our youth education program operates mostly on weekdays and consists of school visits, home-school programs and the Earth Kids program during school holidays.

Informal playgroups with Earth Arts activities for pre-school aged kids are on site twice a week.

Community Gardens and City Farms welcome volunteers and members. So even if you are not ready to grow your own vegetables, you can learn more and meet likeminded people by volunteering at a community garden. At Northey Street City Farm, volunteers do all the regular activities like maintaining the site, making compost, keeping bees and chooks, and growing food in the forest gardens, allotments, and market garden. Volunteering at a community garden is a perfect way to get out into the fresh air and get exercise while learning.

If you don’t have the time to grow your own vegetables or to volunteer, the next best thing is to buy your produce direct from the farmer at your local Farmers Market. The Sunday

Organic Farmer’s Market at Northey Street City Farm supplies certified organic, fresh fruit and vegetables, groceries and other items to help you live a healthy and sustainable life.

Consider getting involved at your local community garden to learn about growing food, get some productive exercise, meet people, and have fun.

4. Create a take-away kit with reusable cutlery, straws, containers and coffee cups. Keep the kit in your car or near the front door.

5. Have filled reusable water bottles in the fridge to take with you wherever you go.

6. Try to reduce rubbish going into landfill by reusing anything that can be used again, such as glass containers or clean packaging. Send any soft plastics like wrappers, bags and Glad Wrap to Red Cycle (drop off points at major stores), compost any organic waste and feed your garden with it.

hen some people think of energy automatically, they think physical. Although it can be a physical thing, its often overlooked. Physicists and lightworkers have more of an understanding of energy than the average person.

You see Qi is life force energy and it’s in every living thing in our environment. It takes energy to be!

A river creates energy as it flows and enters oceans, trees are the best energy source to refresh us when we feel depleted. Every one of us rely on the various sources of energy to live.

To do lightwork such as mediumship, psychic work, healing and more we utilise the energy around us, I personally draw energy and receive messages from the general environment, crystals, flora, and fauna.

Mediums and channelers interconnect with other realms energetically, healers and psychics channel universal energy through and either pass it through to our clients or receive the messages

within the frequency to pass on. I often combine all as I am fortunate enough to have a lot of spiritual ancestral lineage.

For a lightworker being able to continue to work with various types and volumes of energy, self-care is of much importance.

Personally, I am very nature driven.

I exchange energy through gardening, mentally communicating with large bodies of water, trees, and the Earth.

Working on this article barefoot, in the sun having just watered and nurtured my beloved plants. The gentle breeze also carries Qi energy. To enhance my energy exchanges today I have done Qi Gong and Tai Chi in a group environment.

Other people’s energy can be picked up on, we all have a little empath in us. If you have a negative person dominating the space, you may feel negativity or a tense feeling, if someone loving and positive is dominating the environment, that will

pass on joyful feelings. We are what we eat (wholesome food comes from natural energy sources) and we are what we surround ourselves with.

When you see a lightworker it’s their energy that will either entice you or it won’t. The wrong energy around us is detected by our soul/ instinct. A lightworker might refer you to another if your energy disagrees with them, that does not make you a negative person that could mean you vibrate energies on a different frequency. The incorrect energy frequency is like an out of tune radio, you will not get the messages clearly, so always trust in your vibe when you seek out someone to read your energy or initiate self-healing.

How Do You Cleanse YOUR HOME AND OFFICE?

he ancient ritual of burning sage is an art worth knowing in these times. While there are many ways to clear negative energies, white sage seems by far the most popular but did you know there are others as well?

WHITE SAGE – Clearing White sage is the herb to use when you need brute strength to shift energies and entities that attach themselves to you and your environment.

White sage is considered the most sacred herb held by Native Americans for hundreds of years. It’s used for smudging as part of a cleansing ceremony to help people, places, or even objects to get rid of negative energy or even bad spirits in or around spaces. This includes past traumas, bad experiences, or negative energies from others. This may also help you establish a positive environment for meditation or another ritual. Choosing to sit and let go of negative thoughts in a ritual like this sets your intention and dedication to self-improvement. By choosing to

engage in ritual can be the beginning of your change in mindset. Smudging can be useful when you are feeling depressed, angry, resentful, unwell, or after an argument.

WHITE SAGE & LAVENDER – Harmony Use this combination to create harmony, tranquillity and love. White sage & lavender restores balance & creates a peaceful atmosphere. It’s excellent for areas of high stress and for cleansing an area after emotional upsets.

Lavender can be used for protection and to safeguard against evil. It’s also brilliant for healing emotional upsets. Lavender brings a positive energy, opens the heart chakra and calm the mind.

MUGWORT – Courage Use the gentle cleansing energy of this blend to repel negative energies and emotions to give you the confidence, and courage to follow your dreams.

Mugwort is often regarded as the traveller’s friend – used to promote physical wellbeing, endurance and protection. This ancient herb can also encourage prophetic and happy dreams and act as an aid to astral travel.

1.Start at the front door and light the smudge stick at the tip of the leaves, allow burning for 5-10 seconds, and gently blow on the embers to create smoke.

2.Hold in a heat proof container, smudge pot, or shell. Use a bowl to catch any ashes.

3.If you are cleansing a room, move in a counter-clockwise direction to banish negativity, and clockwise for invoking. Then begin to move slowly around your home moving among rooms, gently waving the stick in the air. Fan smoke with your hand, smudge fan, or smudge feather. Move mindfully and with care, walking clockwise around the entire perimeter of the home. Be sure to allow the smoke to drift into the hidden spaces, like inside closets, basements, and dark corners.

Open windows to let the negative energy be released back to Mother Earth.

4.After use, gently extinguish the smoke in the sand or a small dish of water.

5.Store in a dry place for future use.

What do you say when you cleanse your house with sage?

Use this example prayer.

You could simply say: “Sacred and holy ones please clear this place of stagnant and negative energy”. And after you

are finished working, you can thank them and the sage for their help.

Can you reuse a smudge stick?

If you are using a smudge stick, put it out under running water. After it dries you can reuse it – but if you crush it out it will continue to smoulder and be a fire hazard.

B

aking with local, wholesome produce- the old-fashioned way, lights a primal spark in our hearts. It engages our senses, involves our mind, body and spirit and takes us on a meditative journey, connecting us with our ancestors and providing nourishment to the people we love. It’s a giving and receiving!

And it’s easy to see why entrepreneur, and mum, Helen Marshall has taken this primitive yearning and community-centric model and made it into a successful business in Australia. Not only is she dynamic, smart and effervescent, she has a passion for wanting to make others feel good and she has been doing just that for the last five years with her business, ‘Primal Alternative’.

Helen’s entrepreneurial flair was noticeable from an early age and at

twelve years old growing up in the U.K, she started making friendship bracelets and hair scrunchies and selling them to her friends. She said while most of her ideas were great, they were not really taken seriously and so she had to wait until later in life to create the business of her dreams.

But things didn’t show up in the way she thought they would. At the age of 37, Helen experienced a health crisis after years of suffering with sleep and digestive disturbances and agoraphobia which restricted her travel for ten years. She said, “I didn’t see the point in carrying on when I felt so bad and when I mentioned this to my husband he was very concerned.” He encouraged Helen to go to the doctors but after a variety of blood tests were conducted, they couldn’t find anything physically wrong with her.

Then the Universe stepped in… and out of crisis came opportunity!

Helen had an intuitive download and was guided to change her diet and go gluten free. Then a colleague suggested looking into the paleo approach. And Helen being an action taking, ‘two boots in’ sort of woman, meant she put all her energies into adopting this new way of living.

Her new findings and healthy lifestyle was a revelation and breath of fresh air. At the same time, it was initially confronting! She had been working for years as a personal trainer and health coach, encouraging people to adopt the traditional food pyramid diet and then when she opened the door to this new lifestyle and way of eating she thought, “Oh my God, I have been telling people the wrong thing”. Her new learnings meant she turned the food pyramid on its head and started eating a high fat, high protein diet. COVER STORY who went on to get great results but they found the preparation involved with this new way of living a bit time consuming. So enter Primal Alternative: a way to make it easy for people and families to stay on track with their health!

And it’s not about depriving yourself either! Helen shared, “I’m all for feeling good and kicking health goals but if the food is not delicious as well, what’s the point?”

Helen suggests when you feel like a Tim Tam, swap it for a Primal Alternative chocolate chip cookie, and instead of take-away pizza, what about making a delicious healthy pizza using a low carb base? And you can ditch the sugar laden cereal, for a delicious, healthy nuts and seeds granola. The list of yummy Primal Alternative creations just seems to grow: low carb wraps and bagels and even gluten and grain free pastry that can be used to make pies, lasagne and Naan bread.

Helen said this new diet and lifestyle really agreed with her in a short amount of time, “As I cleared up my gut health, my intuition and energy increased tenfold.” This created an abundance of energy in order to get Primal Alternative off the ground and give it a good go. “I felt it was an intuitive nudge or divine download.

But if I hadn’t done it, someone else would have. It was time for the idea to be born into the world. But to take that leap and have that faith is a big thing, especially given I had no food industry experience and I am not a chef!” she said.

She eventually went on to collaborate with top chefs she had admired for years and created a back to basics business model, cooking from home and making food for other people. “It’s one of the oldest ways to trade but in our society we have handed it over to big companies that are more interested in shelf life and profits.”

Primal Alternative uses healthy, local produce, with sustainable, ethical practices: no plastics, no excess wastes and no excess carbon footprint. Helen has skilfully grown her business and trained over 210 ‘Primalistas’ which comprise her baking network/licensees around Australia. They turn their tried and true recipes into yummy creations to sell to their networks.

“Many Primalistas find being in the kitchen is a stress buster and it’s their

happy place. And they are already cooking for their family, so why not extend and then help other people and the community too. And they can contribute to their family’s income without it taking them away from home.”

But it hasn’t always been a bed of roses creating a business from scratch, and Helen is quick to point out that 80% of creating a successful business is working on yourself and your mindset. She said that fear of someone tapping you on the shoulder and saying ‘you haven’t done it right’ and then feeling not good enough, can be the thing that derails or even stops a lot of people. Helen explains, “limiting beliefs are a bit like fine fishing lines or trip lines and you don’t really see them until you do a bit more work and then they become like red tapes and you think OMG, I was going to get tripped over by that but now I can see it.”

Helen shared candidly, she has recently started working with a big national marketing team to further expand the baking network. “They have looked at my whole process and it’s a bit like having the rug pulled out from under your feet. I can’t believe how I weaved in limiting beliefs to stay small or to sabotage myself and you don’t even realise you are doing it until someone points it out.”

AS I CLEARED UP MY GUT HEALTH, MY INTUITION AND ENERGY INCREASED TENFOLD. The other big ‘aha moment’ was realising in order to not take things personally, she sees Primal Alternative as an entity in itself, rather than making herself the whole business.

She loves empowering others and wants entrepreneurs to know, “there’s going to be good days and unmotivated days and customers that love what you do and some who complain. Some days you want to throw in the towel and then the next week you get a new, fresh motivation and you turn it all around. It’s a bit of a roller coaster ride in the beginning but that’s normal! I know now it’s a

marathon, not a sprint and I’m in it for the long-haul.”

So what’s next for Helen?…. well, a Primalista in every town of course! And while she is blinkered on Australia, she is also entertaining overseas markets and people to connect with (N.Z is the next obvious region).

Helen’s enthusiasm for what she does and her desire to keep expanding is dare I say the word in these times….contagious! She inspires all the Primalistas to keep growing and creating and for everyone she comes in touch with to experience the full, primal experience of well-being!

W

hat an epic transitional time we are currently in. I am seeing a massive consciousness shift within so many, and this can be very overwhelming and confronting, especially amongst all the unrest and division going on globally which we are all apart of, whether we like it or not.

The beautiful beings I have been treating over the last little while certainly are a reflection of these times.

Have you ever reflected on the human body-mind connection? Does the body shape our mind or does the mind shape our body? Some research suggests that the pineal gland is the first to take shape in the womb, so I feel our mind shapes our body. The pineal gland is a part of our limbic system, our emotional subconscious mind, which is directly connected to those parts of the brain that control our heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, memory, stress levels and hormone balance.

Interestingly, the only sense directly linked to our limbic system is our sense

of smell. Anxiety, depression, fear, anger and joy all emanate from this region, hence why the use of pure essential oils can have such incredible effects emotionally and physically and will help lift one’s frequency which in turn may assist in creating optimum vitality.

We can bring awareness to the fact that we are and everything around us is frequency, and the key to our reality lies within our frequency. So, we must choose thoughts that bring us, and make us feel light. Choosing thoughts that serve us for our highest good does take discipline and may not happen overnight, but with perseverance and consistency, we change our lives minimising stress and anxiety. Remember to always be grateful, every single day and live in an abundant mindset. We can celebrate and nurture ourselves and have ‘time for self’. We are human beings, not human doings.

hen embarking on a new year my mantras are, “To be prepared is to be aware” and “The year doesn’t make me, I make the year”. We are the common denominators in our lives so it’s up to us to harness the energies of each year and co-create with the Universe whilst being in alignment with our own soul’s journey. We are in HUGE Astrological times and the world as we know it will never be the same again. 2020 was the wake up, 2021 has been super disruptive and unpredictable, and the next few years we are adjusting to this New Earth; the New Order.

Being anchored & knowing who you are is absolutely essential to navigate these times!

You have no doubt had many changes in 2021 and 2020, planned and unplanned, deliberate or forced, as the world begins to transform into a higher vibration. Chaos and uncertainty are always a big part of change, whether it’s global or inner change and an element not always popular.

My intuition is telling me that 2022 will be an adjustment on all levels within us, personally and on the global stage, following on from all that has transformed, and it’s time to take back your personal power and begin to live deliberately and consciously.

For me, personal power is internal.

It’s a choice and a state of being.

It’s choosing how I feel. Deliberately creating the reality I desire in full awareness and consciousness of the

Here are 5 ways to tune in to your own Personal Power in 2022: 1. Become the witness in your life.

Who is it that is seeing through your human eyes? Hearing through your human ears? Experiencing through your senses? The ‘I’ that is observing it all? When you can be that consciousness in your daily reality, rather than reacting to it, you have personal power in any situation.

Now each of these comes in a variety of shades/colours but you will fall under only one of those colour headers. Each type relates to primary nurture points (areas of possible weakness) within the body.

What is your structural type?

This is assessed by the arrangement of the fibres within the iris and the position of some of the other areas presented. There are six structural types that you may fall under and your structure shares your physical characteristics as well as how you show up in the world.

Each type denotes the possible areas of weakness to be aware of and generally relates to a particular body system. Can you see some of the similarities between colour and structure? As these layers up, the story begins to reveal itself. Your structure is permanent, it is what you are born with and it is what you will leave this world

with. It tells me where you come from genetically.

What is the diathesis?

This is based on the deposits and/or accumulation signs (i.e., pigmentations etc). This can be inherited or acquired and it clearly indicates the specific organs and/or tissue involved. A diathesis can be activated or remain dormant all depending on lifestyle choices. Not everyone has a diathesis, however if you present with a diathesis, this becomes the main area of focus in the assessment, interestingly it tells me about the three generations that came before you and the importance that it plays in your life currently, there are 12 types that fall under this category.

It can happen that eyes have a mixture or a blend of a few different structures or diathesis, what is most important will present in the assessment. My focus is to give you what you need most of all right now.

No two eyes are the same, not even the two you have, they differ from one another in amazing ways, when assessing the eyes, there is nothing that is either bad or good and I approach every assessment with fascination and interest for your health and wellbeing.

n a perfect world, our immune systems would protect us from all imbalances and illness. But the reality is that we are constantly surrounded by stressors from our personal and professional lives, the environment and our lifestyles. LIGHT LANGUAGE - The Language of Light

L

ight Language, as the name suggests is the language of light.

And we refer to light as the higher vibration of source, or higher beings.

For me, it is the pure expression of our highest self or source that forms the sounds, symbols, dance movements, hand movements/mudras or codes.

It’s all channelled and doesn’t require any preparation i.e., it doesn’t require any construction. And when we reach the state of stillness, we allow our highest self to channel through us.

It crosses all the barriers of human language rules, grammar, sounds and word formations.

Since its the language of light, imagining understanding the light in the form of words humans know – isn’t possible.

The translation of light language or codes into the language we know is impossible. It’s like trying to translate many dimensions to fit into the human 3D mind. Trying to understand also obstructs the flow.

Only the energy of light can be felt, because each light code, symbol,

expression, formation carries the light and energy. It’s similar to trying to describe the energy of light in words which isn’t possible.

The light transmission can do wonders if we allow the channelling without getting our mind in the way.

And if the mind questions it or tries to get into ego to analyse it – it creates resistance, hence obstructs the flow.

It supports in healing, activation or embedding the light codes missing in our DNA. We all are born with light codes in our DNA and as we upgrade – i.e. move to a higher vibration, the new codes get downloaded as well.

It works at subatomic or cellular level, bringing necessary upgrades at that point in time which further helps in shifting to a higher vibration.

It helps those who channel and all those who allow the light to enter without cognition.

It’s our individual expression of the Divine and our highest self.

It helps in moving to a higher dimension, aligning us to our sacredness.

It brings freedom of expression, trespassing the rules and bindings of man-made language.

It crosses all the language barriers and allows us to speak in our own unique soul language.

It’s the expression of higher beings – those who are helping in moving us to the New Earth.

Higher beings are making contact with so many of us to bear the torch for others at the human plane.

The light language works best when you let it flow within, with innocence.

There are many intentions we can set in, and then allow the higher self to work its magic. Like any other healing modality, it requires unconditional trust and surrender for it to flow.

unusual and through my work as an Unlock Your Love Blocks Energy Coach, I have found that these rivalries are not always what they appear to be.

These are some of the most common underlying root causes of what can be happening – • A sibling is not in their right place in the sibling line (ie a younger sibling trying to overpower or take the place of the eldest; expectations (or feelings) on the eldest to be surrogate parents to the other siblings; a sibling taking the place of an aborted or miscarried baby who has not been acknowledged in the sibling order, and so on.

• Unknown or hidden loyalty to Mum or Dad especially if they are in conflict. Once a sibling is loyal to Mum and one sibling is loyal to Dad and they play out the parent’s conflict with each other; • There may be conflicts between

your parents and their siblings that are playing out with you and your siblings until the root conflict is acknowledged and resolved; • Other conflicts that are unresolved in the family system (even if it was back a few generations) that have not been resolved.

These dynamics are operating on a soul level (where we are not aware of them happening) and can ripple out and affect other areas of our lives.

Our siblings are our first experience in connecting with and developing relationships in our life. What is happening with your relationship with your siblings, will be underlying in your feelings and often with your experiences with friends, colleagues’ and other groups of people.

Once you begin to really look at the dynamics with your siblings and work on a soul level to resolve some of the

key root issues in the family system, something will shift inside of you that will usually have a positive effect on your friendships and group circles. Here are some key things to remember – • Know that there are soul level dynamics and loyalties in the family that affect your other relationships; • Honour the siblings that came first and everyone as they are; • Take your rightful place in the order of siblings and honour any siblings that didn’t make it including, miscarried, stillbirths and aborted babies and give them their rightful place in the sibling order.

any pet families feel unsupported when they want to feed raw. It feels right to them but they are told it is wrong.

You may have heard from your vet that all dogs and cats need to eat is a complete dry food...

Well, I know a secret... vets only spend two hours learning about small animal nutrition during their 5-7 year veterinary science degree.

Many vets are wary of raw food diets, especially raw bones. But as you can see from the amount of training vets get in nutrition, not all vets are experts in raw feeding!

Dogs were eating a fresh, raw, prey-based diet for eons before processed pet foods came along. And

since processed pet foods became available, chronic diseases like arthritis, diabetes, epilepsy, allergies and cancer have all been rising amongst the pet population. You don’t have to be a Cluedo master to work out who is the culprit here…!

It makes no sense at all that your pet needs to eat a bag of XXX’s ‘complete and balanced’ sawdust to thrive. What they need is a balanced diet made up of real, raw foods!
