Sagittarius in Profile December is the month of Sagittarius, the Archer. Sagittarius is the half man-half horse who has mastered the art of mining data to define the essential Truth for himself. He is unafraid to explore the great, wide world and its many ideas and cultures. The Sun visits the mansion of Sagittarius each year from November 22 to Winter Solstice (sometimes December 21 or 22, depending on the year). Sagittarius belongs to the element of Fire and carries the energy of High Ideals, clear Philosophy and an essential Prescription for Life with a distinct “Cowboy” swagger. Through the sign of Sagittarius, we exhibit our worldly wonder and penchant to Wander.
Sagittarius rules the Hips and Pelvic Joints. This health of this area of the Body is vital to support our mobility. If we have challenges with this area of the Body, we may be limited in our wandering. During the season of Sagittarius, ruled by the Great Benefic, Jupiter, we stoke the Fires within, relying on our own Wisdom to guide us through the growing dark in the Northern Hemisphere. From all the data collected throughout the seasons of the year, we distill down a maximum philosophy to guide us from within. Sagittarius also represents the Wise Men of the biblical tradition who travelled long and far to experience the new Light of Christ Child.
