NORTH CAROLINA TEXTILE FOUNDATION The North Carolina Textile Foundation (NCTF) makes the groundbreaking, industry-leading work of the Wilson College of Textiles at NC State University possible.

As the only college in the United States devoted entirely to textiles, the Wilson College of Textiles is uniquely poised to educate new leaders, support the industry and advance research within this evolving and expansive field. Support from donors is vital to the fabric of the college and has an immediate impact on student success.

Integrity | Trust | Diversity | Inclusivity | Collaboration | Authenticity Since 1942, the North Carolina Textile Foundation has used more than $40 million in funding to establish innovative scholarships, faculty and staff development opportunities, student and researcher recruitment projects and other unique programs that have empowered the college to meet the needs of a rapidly changing, highly technical industry.

As a charitable organization, the North Carolina Textile Foundation is dedicated to supporting the Wilson College and Dean David Hinks. That assistance includes, but is not limited to, providing funds for scholarships to deserving undergraduate and graduate students; recruiting and retaining highly qualified students, educators and researchers; and placing graduates in positions within the industry. The North Carolina Textile Foundation also supports the acquisition and maintenance of state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for research and education.

SEAMLESS SUPPORT Since its establishment, the North Carolina Textile Foundation has been the lifeblood of the Wilson College of Textiles, funding faculty recruitment and development, essential resources and programs, and the largest college-based scholarship program at NC State. Today, global companies come to us seeking our expertise, our research and our pool of talented students, more than 90 percent of whom find employment within one year of graduation. The college is helping to reshore jobs, grow the national and state economies, and pioneer the field of nonwovens.

EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION OF TEXTILE LEADERS The North Carolina Textile Foundation administers more than 100 scholarships each year. Of the $1,141,925 that was awarded to textiles students for the 2020-2021 academic year, 72 percent came from the North Carolina Textile Foundation.
