Welcome to the NBA Newsletter
Your Monthly Circle to the Noosaville Business Community
We’re thrilled to introduce NBA Circle – your fresh go-to for monthly updates, insights, and opportunities within the Noosaville business community.
Let’s kick things off with some fantastic news: the Noosaville Business Association recently held its Annual General Meeting, and we’re pleased to report a renewed sense of energy and engagement. Membership is on the rise, and we now have a newly formed committee ready to drive positive change.
Two familiar faces remain in key roles – Stephanie Clunies-Ross continues as Treasurer, and Nicky Turner has stepped up from Vice-President to President. The rest of the committee is brand new and full of enthusiasm.
We extend a big thank you to Noosa Boathouse for generously hosting this year’s Annual General Meeting and post-event celebration drinks in their stunning new Saltwater Studio Boardroom. With its picturesque waterfront views and exceptional facilities, the venue provided the perfect setting for both our formal agenda and the valuable networking that followed. Their ongoing support is a testament to their commitment to the Noosaville business community.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, the NBA remains focused on connection, collaboration, and championing local business. Through regular networking events, enhanced communication, and meaningful initiatives, we’re committed to delivering genuine value to our members.
Collaboration sits at the heart of what we do. We’re excited to strengthen our partnership with the Noosa Chamber of Commerce and build deeper connections with neighbouring associations and networks. Together, we can create a more connected, resilient, and thriving business ecosystem across the region.
Our six focus areas for the next 12 months are:
1. Growing membership numbers
2. Strengthening the voice of our business and community sectors
3. Increasing member engagement and networking opportunities
4. Providing tangible value to members
5. Enhancing our reputation and visibility
6. Building long-term sustainability for the association
Ultimately, we aim to foster a more united and empowered business community in Noosaville – one with the influence and resources to achieve meaningful outcomes.
You’ll also notice a stronger online presence. We’ve launched the Visit Noosa Foreshore TikTok account, aimed at attracting more locals and visitors to our beautiful area and supporting our local tourism and retail sectors.
Noosaville is where business happens – and the NBA is here to support that growth through networking, mentorship, and advocacy.
We’re excited for what’s ahead and, more importantly, we want to hear from you. Reach out to any of our committee members with your ideas, questions, or feedback – we’re here to listen.
Join us at our first social networking event on Thursday, 18th September at Pucca – full details inside this issue. Come meet the new committee and help shape the future of the NBA.
Let’s grow together.

Important Security Alert for Google & Gmail Users
There is a recent security concern that may affect you or your business. A recent hack of Google’s Salesforce systems has raised security alerts for over 2 billion Gmail and Google Cloud users. While Google has stated the breach did not compromise customer passwords, there has been a noticeable increase in related scams.
How to Protect Yourself:
We encourage you to be extra vigilant and follow these key recommendations:
• Watch out for Phishing and Vishing: Be aware of fraudulent phone calls (“vishing”) or emails (“phishing”) from individuals impersonating Google employees. Google will never call you to inform you of a security breach.
• Do Not Give Out Information: Never provide personal details or account information over the phone.
• Use Strong Security Measures: We highly recommend using Google’s Security Checkup to review your account settings. Implement strong, unique passwords for all your accounts and enable two-step verification for an added layer of security. Consider using a reputable password manager to help you manage your login credentials.
Staying informed and proactive is the best defence against cyber threats. We encourage all members who are Google Workspace users to share this update with staff and review their cybersecurity practices.

What inspired you to join the NBA?
“I’ve been a proud member of the NBA for over 15 years. Back then, aside from Tourism Noosa, it was the largest and most active networking association in the region. I originally joined to connect with fellow local businesses and to strengthen relationships with our valued clients.
Looking back, joining the NBA was one of the best decisions I made for our business. I quickly realised that in Noosa, success often comes down to who you know - not just what you know. By combining that local knowledge with a commitment to excellent service, we were able to build meaningful connections that played a key role in our growth. The NBA has been instrumental in supporting and shaping our journey.”
What do you love most about Noosaville?
“What’s not to love! The river, the vibe, the food, and the people—it all makes Noosaville such a special place.
When you look at the broader Noosa region, Noosaville stands out as a true hub of activity. From the relaxed charm of Gympie Terrace and the vibrant areas behind the Foreshore, to the bustling Industrial Estate and the Marina, Noosaville has it all - with Tewantin just next door.
Whether you’re a local or a visitor, Noosaville really does have the most to offer.”

Spotlight on the Noosaville Industrial Estate

Written by Alanna Shapland Commercial Property Consultant
RWC Noosa
Tucked just behind the Noosaville foreshore and river precinct, the Noosaville Industrial Estate has quietly become one of the region’s most dynamic business hubs. Once primarily home to industrial operators, it has evolved into a vibrant precinct that seamlessly blends industry, retail, and lifestyle.
The estate hosts a wide variety of enterprises, from trade services, showrooms, and warehouses to craft breweries, boutique retailers, and creative studios. This eclectic mix makes it a destination not only for local businesses and trades but also for residents and visitors seeking artisan goods, specialty stores, and unique food experiences.
Industrial tenants remain a cornerstone of the estate, providing essential services across building, automotive, and logistics. Meanwhile, the growing presence of smallscale manufacturers, specialty producers, and innovative startups has brought a fresh energy to the precinct.
Breweries, distilleries, and boutique outlets have further enhanced the estate’s appeal, making it a place where work and lifestyle intersect attracting locals and tourists who want to experience a different side of Noosaville.
Particularly along Gateway Drive, the estate has earned the nickname “The Gateway to Art”. This corridor is home to creative studios, artisan workshops, and galleries, offering a unique cultural experience alongside the industrial and retail activity in the estate. It’s where craftsmanship, innovation, and business come together.
Its location is a major advantage. Just minutes from the Noosa River foreshore and key transport routes, the Industrial Estate offers convenience for businesses and easy access to lifestyle amenities for employees and visitors alike. This combination makes it an attractive choice for operators seeking both functionality and visibility.

Alanna Shapland Commercial Property Consultant

The precinct is evolving rapidly, with several exciting projects set to strengthen its role as a vibrant commercial hub:
• The Precinct, 58 Rene Street, Noosaville: A new commercial development designed to foster collaboration, co-working, and business growth.
• 4 Leo Alley Road Units: A modern complex featuring 17 industrial and business units, offering excellent connectivity and flexible workspace solutions.
• Gateway Drive Industrial Hub: A purposebuilt light industrial and creative business hub supporting artisan trades, small manufacturers, and boutique operators
Looking ahead, as Noosa continues to balance sustainable growth with community values, the Noosaville Industrial Estate will remain a vital part of the local economy. With its mix of traditional industrial uses, creative studios, and customer-facing businesses, plus a wave of new developments, it’s clear the precinct will continue to be a vibrant, forward-looking hub for both business and culture.

Where South Asian Flavours Meet the Noosaville Foreshore
We are delighted to welcome the new committee of the Noosaville Business Association and extend our heartfelt congratulations to Nicky on her appointment as President. After five wonderful years in Noosa Junction, we are thrilled to now call the Noosaville foreshore our home. At Pucca, we specialise in modern South Asian cuisine, with a strong influence from the Keralan region of India. Complementing our food is a carefully curated bar, celebrating gin in all its glory — a nod to its Indian origins, with a wide selection of both local and international varieties to tempt the palate.
Behind the scenes, Chef Neale brings a wealth of experience, having honed his craft in London alongside culinary icons such as Gordon Ramsay and Marcus
Wareing in Michelin-starred kitchens. His expertise ensures every dish at Pucca is refined, flavourful, and memorable.
We are honoured to host the first BA5 social event to meet the new committee on 18 September, and we look forward to welcoming members and guests to experience the best of what Pucca has to offer. It is inspiring to see such a proactive and passionate committee leading the way for Noosaville — from the foreshore to the industrial estate — and we are proud to be part of this exciting journey.
