Dear Friends,
It is with deep gratitude that we present the annual report for our last fiscal year. Your unwavering commitment to Nativity Prep has been critical to providing the relationships and resources needed to ensure a continued educational journey for our students and alumni. Through imperfect times your generosity has been a source of hope, nourishing an education that empowers our students to reach their potential by caring for their intellectual, spiritual, social and physical growth.
In this new academic year, we are excited to continue building on our foundation as a Jesuit middle school offering boys in grades 5th – 8th an environment of academic excellence that cares for the whole child. Partnerships in this work are critical to our success, and we are thrilled to begin a multi-year collaboration with the Roche Center for Catholic Education at Boston College. Through ongoing instructional coaching and school-wide professional development, this deepened relationship with Boston College gives our educators additional resources to help provide the quality education our boys deserve.
A hallmark of the Nativity Prep education is the uninterrupted support of our graduates. Our College Promise Program has proven that financial resources can remove obstacles to college persistence. Through a generous matching gift from the Johnson Scholarship Foundation, Nativity Prep is building on an endowed fund that will help us expand our program, ensuring our graduates have the support needed to complete college.
In reflecting on these developments, think about how each Thursday morning at Nativity Prep, the entire school participates in the Examen, a prayer in the Jesuit tradition. It guides us to pause, be grateful, review our past, see that God is present in our lives, and look to the future with hope. As a school, we have been blessed by a community of supporters that believes in creating an opportunity for young boys to thrive. Through your care, Nativity Prep continues to create a hope-filled future for our students.

Señor Orlando Emiliano
“ Working at Nativity taught me to put others first, this was a common denominator in the community. will miss working with the families and being available to help them in any way could. It truly made me happy whenever was able to provide families with any assistance, regardless of what it was!”
Señor Orlando Emiliano started at Nativity in 2002 as a Spanish teacher. For 20 years, he worked tirelessly, humbly, and without pause. He was a man to count on, a man to trust, and a man for others. In his 20 years of dedicated service, Señor accompanied hundreds of students and families on their journey through Nativity Prep and beyond.
His gracious hospitality and warm embrace welcomed all to Nativity and made each person feel known and loved. He did whatever was necessary to continue the mission of this school and adapted and evolved to ensure that students and families get the education they deserve.

OUR MISSION
Nativity Preparatory School is an accredited, tuition-free, Jesuit middle school serving boys of all faiths from low-income families residing in Boston. Staffed by experienced teachers and dedicated volunteers who work closely with families, the school prepares students for success in high school and college.
Nativity’s academically challenging and highly structured environment helps students grow in a love for learning and an abiding sense of responsibility to their community. In the Jesuit tradition, the school promotes the intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical growth that inspires boys from Boston to become men for others.
