NATM Welcomes New Staff Members By Meghan Ryan, NATM Assistant Director

NATM Hires Alex Stowe as Technical Director NATM is excited to announce that Alex Stowe joined the staff as technical director in November. As technical director, Stowe oversees all technical programs and committees of the Association. He works directly with the executive director to evaluate regulatory and technical issues applicable to the light- and medium-duty trailer industry. Stowe received his Juris Doctorate with a concentration in business transactions from the University of Nebraska College of Law. His background in compliance stems from experience working in highly regulated areas where he was responsible for regulation interpretation, violation summary reporting, and reviewing regulations relating to NCAA bylaws and HIPAA compliance. In his free time, he volunteers with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and enjoys traveling with his fiancée, Abby, and their three dogs. As the technical director, Alex is responsible for oversight of the compliance, technical and technology committees, as well as the compliance verification program. He looks forward to promoting trailer safety by keeping NATM’s members informed about compliance with regulations, industry standards and best practices, and by connecting members with valuable education and resources. “I am excited for the opportunity to collaboratively work with members and assist with questions relating to trailer compliance” said Alex. Welcome Alex to the Association by phone at (785) 272-4433 or by email, Alex.Stowe@natm.com.

NATM Hires New Compliance Consultant Aaron Langer NATM is pleased to announce that Aaron Langer joined the staff as a compliance consultant in October. As the newest NATM Compliance Consultant, Langer conducts compliance verification consultations for trailer manufacturers to verify members have the manufacturing processes in place to manufacture trailers in compliance with NATM. This position also has the responsibility of assisting members in correcting any compliance deficiencies. Aaron brings firsthand experience as a trailer user and welder with his background in construction and the Kansas Department of Transportation. Langer loves spending time with his beautiful wife René and two dogs. He also considers himself an avid golfer, and enjoys all time spent outdoors. In the evenings he can be found doing anything DIY or working in his yard. As an NATM compliance consultant, Aaron conducts compliance consultations for trailer manufacturers. He also assists members in correcting any compliance deficiencies. “I have spent my first few months traveling to trailer manufacturing facilities,” said Langer. “I’ve gained valuable experience and training at each stop and I look forward to helping NATM achieve its mission of improving the safety of the trailer industry.” Aaron is excited to learn more about the needs of the light- and medium-duty trailer industry and continue to meet more NATM members as he travels to trailer manufacturing facilities with Alex Stowe, NATM Technical Director, Scott Crimmins, Compliance Manager and Sean Sloan, Senior Compliance Consultant. Welcome Aaron to the Association by phone at (785) 272-4433 or by email, Aaron.Langer@natm.com.
