HONORABLE DISTRICT 6 COUNCILWOMAN NATASHA WILLIAMS
Residents of District 6 in the City of South Fulton:
In 2021, I was proud to be elected by residents of this community in District 6 to uphold the promises I made to serve our people, and it has been my pleasure to support you as your Councilwoman for the past year. As a newly elected o cial, I pledged to lead with an open-door policy, and I am pleased to say residents have picked up the phone to speak with me directly about their concerns. Please continue to reach out during anytime to my o ce to contact my sta at City Hall and they will be happy to answer any concerns you might have in our District. As a result of those conversations, during the past year in Council meetings my colleagues and stood together behind Resolutions/Ordinance that were written to listen to the voices of residents in our District.
One of my rst acts as your newly elected councilwoman was to author ORD2022-009: Amend Title 1 Administration, Chapter 6, Municipal Employees, of e Code of Ordinances, City of South Fulton, GA to Add Section 2-6010 Healthy Workplace to ensure that city employees had a work environment free from bullying and harassment.
Over the past year, residents contacted my o ce requesting action to address the issue of shopping carts being le scattered around Old National Highway, with many of them being used as makeshi seating at the MARTA bus stops at the intersection of Old National Highway & Flat Shoals Road. In response to these concerns, I pushed legislation to prevent Shopping Cart hazards/waste from being le around the City: ORD2002-007: An Ordinance to Amend Title 6, Health and Sanitation, Chapter 5, Abandoned Shopping Carts, Of the City OF South Fulton Code of Ordinances to Amend Regulations for e Removal of Abandoned Shopping Carts
Our parks in our district are a protect natural resources where resident gather freely to congregate together around activates provided by our amazing Parks and Recreation Sta . Seniors and youth exercise and participate in fun activities provided by the city. e Resolution Park Camera Installation Action Plan will start the process of installing future cameras in nearby Parks to maintain the safety of the citizens: Res2022-034: Resolution Requesting the City Manager to Devise and Implement an Action Plan for the Installation of Cameras on or Near City Parks.
In 2023, look out for future community events like the ones I held in District 6. It was my honor to host upli ing and supportive a airs. One of my main focuses was to build company relationships to maintain local support in the City of South Fulton.
• Kaiser Permanente provided resources for long time senior residents with care around overall Health Awareness.
• Love T. Nolan and Bethune Elementary received a donation of 500 bookbags with 20 di erent schools supplies during District 6 Back to School Bookbag giveaway.
• Fulton Votes, Walmart and Kroger collaborated on full day of Voter Registration at two di erent locations on Old National to register citizens to vote, update voter registration status and have any questions answered around voting.
• Atlanta Community Food Bank supplied over 250 families with meals in District 6 during the year-round Food Giveaway Initiative that Councilwoman Willis cultivated.

Moving into 2023, we will maintain e orts to raise the standard of the way of life in our district. My goal is to make the citizens proud to live in the City of South Fulton. SENIOR HEALTH FAIR SPEAKER
MARCUS CHRISTOPHER GRIFFITH, M.D.Dr. Marcus “Chris” Gri th specializes in psychiatry and obesity medicine. He is Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr Gri th is employed by e Southeastern Permanente Medical Group in Atlanta, Georgia and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at both Morehouse and Emory University Schools of Medicine.
Dr. Gri th has given lectures on the local, state, and national levels. He has delivered presentations for e National Football League, Turner Broadcasting Corporation, Georgia Institute of Technology, National Medical Association, American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and multiple academic institutions. Additionally, he has provided expert opinion to e Food and Drug Administration, the United States House of Representatives, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Dr. Gri th has been the recipient several local and national community service awards and has been involved with the Big Brothers and Big Sister’s organization since 1998 Additionally, he and his wife, Dr. Jeana Gri th, completed a book, titled: e Tale of Two Athletes- e Story of Jumper and e umper, which is a true, inspirational story based upon a lifelong friendship that was turned into a children’s book to combat the obesity epidemic. A description of Dr. Gri th’s program can be found as a review article in e Permanente Journal, Summer- 2016.

In 2020, Dr Gri th helped to create a minority, health professionals mentoring program through a collaborative e ort of Kaiser Permanente Stonecrest, Dekalb Arabia Mountain High School and the City of Stonecrest. In 2021 he was appointed to the Executive Board of the Dekalb NAACP and e Board of Directors for Miami University’s Mallory Wilson Center for Health Education.
