Students are backbone of the society: Pukhayi Sumi
DIMAPUR: Parliamentary secretary of Soil & Water Conservation, Pukhayi Sumi while terming students as the backbone of the society advised them to refrain from doing wrong and work for the development of the society. He was speaking at the triennial session of Eastern Sumi Students’ Union (ESSU) 38th general conference which was held from January 6 to 8, hosted by Khekiye Village Students Union at Khekiye village. Highlighting the importance of students in building the society, Pukhayi said social reformation was at the hands of the present young generation. in different competitions and the conference culminated with extravaganza night.
Pukhayi Sumi gramme was conducted by chairperson Inahoto G. Swu, former ESSU president, presidential address was delivered by ESSU president Vihepu Yeputhomi.
