The Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Board meets on the third Monday of each month, except holidays. They are held at 6:00 pm. The meetings are open to the public. Please visit website or call 317-770-4400 for the location of the meeting you wish to attend.
We are excited to share the news of a significant addition to our park system! Recently, we acquired new parkland adjacent to Potter’s Bridge Park. This acquisition allows us to expand the park’s footprint and create new opportunities for recreation, trails, and habitat restoration. As plans develop, we look forward to engaging the community to shape the future of this beautiful new space. Stay tuned for updates as we work to enhance the experience at Potter’s Bridge Park.
New Winter Camping at White River Campground
One of the most exciting developments this year is the introduction of winter camping at the White River Campground! Starting this season, visitors can embrace the beauty and serenity of winter in Hamilton County like never before. With select campsites now available year-round, we invite you to experience the magic of a snow-covered landscape, crisp winter air, and the tranquility that comes with camping in a quieter season. Winter campers will have access to heated restrooms and shower facilities, as well as electrical hookups, making it a comfortable and unique adventure.
Looking Ahead
As we gear up for the busy months ahead, I want to take a moment to thank our incredible staff, volunteers, and community partners. Your dedication and support make everything we do possible. I also want to express my appreciation to the residents of Hamilton County for your continued enthusiasm for our parks and programs.
This year, let’s continue to celebrate and cherish the natural spaces that bring us together. Whether you’re attending a summer concert, hiking a trail, or camping under the stars, know that Hamilton County Parks and Recreation is here to support your adventures.
Here’s to an amazing spring and summer season—and to many more memories made in our parks.
