The MTA SA/NT Annual Report 2021-22 highlights the activities, achievements, performance and events across our financial year ending 31 March 2022. We finished the year strongly with record number of members. We also saw significant advocacy wins, including an agreement to implement the Motor Vehicle Information Scheme, developments on End of Life Vehicle policies and the Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry Code of Conduct being mandated. The MTA’s calls for support during the South Australian election campaign were also recognised with commitments made for a funded automotive apprentice mentoring program as well as a return of the trade counter to government service locations, whilst in the Northern Territory we also helped ensure protection of local towing rosters. This all been achieved whilst the MTA continued providing updated and timely advice to members as we navigated ongoing challenges associated with COVID-19.
