The Bud’s Brianna McCrindle had the tough task in GKagainstSamSilvesterwhohadanotherdominate performance on the scoreboard. Rosebud notes that YCW will be hard to beat this year but is given credit in their performance.

Rosebud plays the first week of the split round and host Sorrento, and YCW will take on Langwarrin in thematchoftheroundafteraweekoff.

ItwasabiggameforRedHilluponthehillinRound9 againstaverystrongLangwarrinteam.Sittinginthe middle of the pack, it would be important for a win for Red Hill to keep their finals prospects alive midwaythroughtheseason.

From the very first centre pass, Red Hill’s defensive endputthepressureonLangwarrin.Themomentum waswiththehostsacrossthefirst15minutesastook a pivotal lead by 4. The Kangas Ebony Taylor was introduced into C at quarter time and added a new dynamic to the midcourt and levelled the second quarter,butthe4-goalleadwasstillwiththehostat the main break. With this slight shift, Red Hill made their own changes to the midcourt for the third quarter, but the momentum stayed with Langwarrin as they had an important 15 minutes to level this matchwithjustonequarterremaining.Thedefensive end for Red Hill worked well together to get some important turnovers throughout the game and the momentum shift changed again and was back with the hosts. A solid last quarter gave them back the lead and as the final whistle went, they found themselves winners in this close and exciting battle by 3 goals. To finish with the win was a great reward for a lot of hard work players at Red Hill have been puttinginattraining.

Red Hill will stay at home in a clash against Dromana,andLangwarrinwillwanttoregroupinthe week off to then compete in their biggest match againstYCW.
