In perhaps the match of the weekend, 2nd plays 3rd as the Seagulls host the Eagles in a potential preview of what’s to come in the Division Two Final Series. Chelsea are coming off a commanding victory over Crib Point which sees them sitting at a very healthy 6-3 after the first 9 rounds of the season. Somerville too were impressive last week, with the Eagles earning a tough 4-points against Mornington in one of their best wins of the 2023seasonthusfar.

Somerville’s midfield core has been one of the strongestinDivisionTwoandwaswhatgotthe EaglesoverthelineintheirRound9clashwith Mornington. Jaxsen Shinners and Luke Burton played two of their better games for the season whilst Lachie Williams was dangerous around the ball as well as closer to goal. Last season's Coaches MVP, Williams has been crucial to Somerville’s success to this point in the season and with his ability to play in the midfield as well as up forward, is one of Somerville’smostimportantplayers.

For Chelsea, the additions of Jack Wallace, Matthew Dussin and Will Barker this season has been transformative for this side and all were impressive yet again last week as the Seagullsrecordedtheir6thwinfortheseason.
