Miedzy nami / Entre nosotros / Between Us Polonia / 2017 / 29’43’’ / Color / Polaco / Una joven pareja en sus 20 años está esperando un hijo, pero no saben lo que enfrentarán. Ante las presiones y emociones inesperadas, deciden separarse y dar en adopción al niño. No toman esta decisión fácilmente, con solo dos meses restantes hasta que el bebé nazca. La situación en la que se encuentran conduce a conversaciones y experiencias que tendrán un impacto duradero por el resto de sus vidas. A young couple in their 20s are expecting a child but don’t know what they will cope. Faced with unexpected pressures and emotions they decide to separate and give the child up for adoption. They do not make this decision easily, with only two months remaining until the baby is due. The situation they find themselves in leads to conversations and experiences, that will have a lasting impact upon the rest of their lives. Maciej Miller Nacido en Olsztyn, Polonia, en 1994. En su tiempo libre se entretiene con su pasión por la fotografía y el windsurf. Recientemente terminó sus estudios en Gdynia Film School. Between us es su película de graduación. Hoy en día está estudiando filosofía.
Born in Olsztyn, Poland, in 1994. In his free time he indulges his passion for photography and windsurfing. He has recently finished Gdynia Film School, ‘Between us’ being his graduation film. Nowadays, he is studying philosophy.
Mellenu gari / Espíritus de arándano / Blueberry Spirits Letonia / 2016 / 12’40’’ / Color / Un documental poético sobre una familia gitana que pasa sus veranos en los bosques de Letonia, recogiendo bayas para ganarse la vida. Mientras cosechan los frutos del bosque, reflexionan sobre su identidad como grupo al compartir historias de fantasmas. A poetic documentary about a Roma family that spends its summers in the Latvian forests, picking berries to make a living. While harvesting the fruits of the forest, they reflect on their identity as a group by sharing ghost stories. Latvian film director, curator and publicist. In her line of work practical and theoretical aspects of film interact with each other. Astra holds an MA degree in film directing from Baltic Film and Media School. Her shorts ‘Treasures of the Sea’ (2013) ‘All My Dead’ (2014) and ‘Blueberry Spirits’ (2016) have been shown in many film festivals and have received awards.
