SATURDAY, MARCH 16, 2024 A VIEW WEST SHORES
110 S 243RD ST.

Thank you to everyone involved in the planning of tonight’s event to support Mount Michael, our mission, and our students.
Welcome to our 35th annual Night of Knights!
The Night of Knights is our premiere fundraising event for the school year All the proceeds from tonight go to our operational budget.Tuition and fees do not do it all.We need your support for this event to be successful!
We are very excited about our theme this year, Mount Madness! March has become the month where, it seems, the entire country is taking stock of the NCAA Basketball Tournament! For years this event has become a hallmark of the month of March.People are filling out their brackets hoping to pick the final four and the championship! It is exciting to see some of those great matchups where the lower seeds take out an upper seed and upsets occur Every year there seems to be more and more parity and more and more national excitement! Everyone has their favorite team, or teams, that they are cheering on! It is the closest thing we have a true, winner-take-all in college athletics!
Here at Mount Michael, we are celebrating this event and the excitement it brings! We are tapping into that excitement as we are observing our 35th annual Night of Knights! We consider all of you members of our Knights team, part of our community and our family! I hope you all have a wonderful time this evening as we celebrate Mount Michael Benedictine School!
Night of Knights is made possible by the many volunteers, who donate their time and talent, and to those who donate the many auction items and those that are our corporate sponsors We rely on many people to make this night possible Our event Chairs this year are Lesley Brandt and JJ Crouse, parents of Easton‘25 and Taggart Crouse’23 and our Vice Chairs, Beth and Charlie Boone, parents of Will Boone’27 This year we also have our Alumni Chairs, Connie and Jeff Jamrog’83. Their son, Jared, graduated from The Mount in 2014. They have all put in a tremendous amount of time getting ready for this evening. We could not have done this night without them!
I also want to acknowledge our advancement staff; Mr. Chris Knauf, our director, Mr. Seth Pierce our events director, and the other members of our advancement team: Mrs. Melissa Gathje, Mr John Von Dollen, Ms Danika Kerin, and Mrs Lynn Brannen They have put in hundreds of hours getting ready for this evening!
It is through your support and generosity that we can make Mount Michael Benedictine School the premier college preparatory school in the mid-west. The things that are at the heart of what we offer are our Benedictine heritage, our small class size, our unique residential program, and our commitment to excellence Our alumni, who reside all over the globe, are a testament to heritage and work over the years Thank you for being part of the celebration tonight, we are so happy you were able to make it. Have a great night and
Go Knights!
Take care and God bless,

Welcome to the 35th annual Night of Knights – Mount Madness! We are honored to serve as your General Chairs for the 2024 event Thank you to the amazing Mount Michael community for their tremendous support If you can attend the event in person, prepare for a night of fun!
Tonight we celebrate the Mount Michael community – the monastic community who keep our school firmly grounded in Benedictine values, our faculty who challenge our students to grow intellectually and spiritually, our staff who provide an environment that shapes our students into leaders and forms the bonds of brotherhood, and our entire community that recognizes the value of a Mount Michael education. Thank you to alumni, current and former parents, grandparents, friends of Mount Michael and countless committed individuals for the impact you make on this community Mount Michael is truly a special place, and it is a privilege to be part of this community
Night of Knights is our school’s premier annual fundraising event The event is an opportunity for each of us to recognize and support Mount Michael’s ongoing commitment to excellence and ensure a solid foundation for the future Funds raised through Night of Knights directly impact our students and build a legacy for years to come.
Thank you to all those who have contributed their time and resources to making this event a success. Your generosity is much appreciated. We thank Abbot Michael Liebl and Dr. David Peters for their leadership and the Development Office for their support. Thank you to the parents, faculty, staff, alumni, students, and the monastic community for your countless contributions
Enjoy this moment, have fun and bid often! Thank YOU for saying YES to NIGHT OF KNIGHTS!
Highest gratitude,
Lesley Brandt and JJ Crouse Parents of Easton ‘25 & Taggart ‘23The Jamrog family has been associated with Mount Michael since the fall of 1979 when I became a freshman at Mount Michael. My mom, Marlene, was one of the inaugural chairs for the Night of Knights and loved helping with this great event. Connie and I had a wonderful time being Co-Chairs of Night of Knights in 2013. I feel so blessed to have such a great experience at Mount Michael back when Mount Michael was only a boarding school My greatest memory was the great brotherhood we had during those years and has continued decades later Winning state championships in football and basketball my senior year was icing on the cake There is no doubt Mount Michael develops young boys into men and prepares them for a successful life
One of the greatest decisions my wife and I ever made was sending our son Jared to Mount Michael. We were living in Lincoln and Jared was very apprehensive going to Mount Michael as he knew no one attending. A couple of years after his freshman year he said, “It was the best decision I never made.” Jared graduated from Mount Michael in 2014 and works at Pinnacle Bank He and his wife Laura are expecting their first baby in April and are looking forward to the third generation Jamrog attending The Mount
Connie and I are honored to be the inaugural Night of Knight Alumni Co-Chairs Mount Michael has meant so much to our son and family The Benedictine values of Service, Community, Hospitality, Moderation, and Integrity were instilled in all of us and now so many years later they are still living in all of us.
Once a Knight, always a Knight!
God Bless!
