Paying Homage to Heritage Winners of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship will take home exclusive trophies inspired by the UAE’s long-standing tradition of pearl diving Designed by Czech design house Lasvit, the 2021 Mubadala World Championship’s unique trophies take inspiration from the pearling season, an integral part of the UAE’s heritage. The trophies’ design reflects elements of Al Dean, the woven bag that pearl divers wear around their neck to hold the oysters they collect during their dives. The exquisite design aims to create that amazing moment when an oyster opens to reveal the most perfect prize: a rare and precious pearl, with designer Martin Gallo equating it to the ‘winning’ ball.

The structure comprises a slumped glass basket in amber and blueish tones with a metallic oyster that opens to reveal a glass pearl.
