「すべてのグラムが重要ではない」が︑私の「ウ ルトラライト・キャンプ」の原則の1つです︒やみ くもに流行を追ってはいけないと思い知らされま した︒自分が何を望み︑何を好むかをちゃんと理 解することは︑楽しい旅の鍵です︒ バッグの重量を最小限に抑えることが鍵とは言え ︑私の個人的なマストアイテムであるカメラを持 ち歩くことも重要です︒キャンプやハイキングを 記録するのが好きです︒日記を書くように︑旅行 で見たり出会ったりしたことを友人や家族と共有 するために︑いつも写真や動画を撮っていました ︒カメラの重量も考慮して︑私は通常︑ポイント ショットカメラをサイドポケットに入れています︒ 私のバッグの中にあるもう一つの必須アイテムは 救急箱です︒以前は財布に絆創膏しか入れていま せんでした︒いつも救急箱を持ち歩いている友人 がいますが︑重さが増すだけだと思え︑キャンプ には必須ではないと思いました︒しかし︑私のそ の考え方は︑ボルダリング中に怪我をして以来変 わりました︒救急箱を持つことの重要性を実感し ました︒それ以来︑すべてのハイキングやハイキ ングにも救急箱を持ち歩くようになりました︒

Deciding upon what to bring along on trips is always difficult. Due to the different duration of trips, weather and geographic condition, it can be a challenge to pack accordingly. Some essentials were always forgotten while packing my backpack “Not every gram counts” is one of my ultralight camping principles. I have come to realize that we should not follow trends blindly. Understanding what you want and prefer is the key to a joyful and memorable trip. If one does not enjoy a specific style of camping but was forced to do so, he or she will never truly experience the joy that camping could bring. Although minimizing the weight of the bag is the key to being an ultralight camper, bringing along my personal must-have-item, camera, is nonetheless also important. I enjoy recording the moments while camping and hiking. Like creating a journal, I would always take photos and films in order to share what I saw and encountered on my trips to my friends and family. Considering the camera’s weight, I usually carry a point-shot camera in my side pocket. One other essential item inside my bag is a firstaid kit. I used to only carry plasters in my wallet. Though I have friends who always carry a first-aid kit with them, I thought it only adds extra weight and thought it was not a must for camping. My mind completely changed after I accidentally hurt myself while bouldering. I realized the importance of having a first-aid kit. That was when I started to pack my own first-aid kit and carry it on every trip ever since.

友人と私は一緒に︑お互いの必要に合ったいくつ かのギアとツールを作りました︒左側は私の友人 の発明品の一つで︑3Dプリントされたアダプター です︒トレッキングポールや小枝をランプポスト として接続して︑夜にランプを吊るすために使用 されます︒彼はトレッキングポールを多機能にし たいと考え︑アダプターを作りました︒ 真ん中の画像は私が作った手縫いの財布です︒パ ンデミックの間︑レザークラフトのやり方を学び ました︒普段は二つ折りの財布を持ち歩いている のですが︑キャンプだとかさばるからコンパクト にしたかったんです︒そのため︑IDカード︑ATM カード︑および少量の現金を入れるための小さな 財布を自分で作ることにしました︒ 右側の画像はガス缶カバー/ランプシェードです︒ 初めての手作り革製品でした︒アウトドアアドベ ンチャーを始めた当初は︑ガス缶のカバーで使っ てました︒ある日︑ガス缶のカバーがキャンプ用 ランプのランプシェードとしてもぴったりだと発 見しました︒革の自然な経年変化に伴い︑光沢の ある表面が形成されます︒カバーがピカピカにな っていくのは︑私のキャンピング生活の楽しさに 似ていると思ってました︒

結局︑完璧なギアは存在しません︒キャンプ道具 を選ぶときは︑自分のニーズに合った適切なギア が最も重要だと思います︒

After going camp several times, I want to find some gears that satisfy my needs. But it’s really hard to find the most suitable product, make my own gear is the only way. With a long terms of try and error, create a most suitable gear is a huge satisfaction. Me and friend have created some gear that fit our need while we are hike and camping. On the left, is one of my friend creation, it is a 3D-printed adapter. It is used for connecting with our trekking pole or twig as a lamp post to hang up our lamp. He wanted the

trekking pole could become a multi - function tool, so he create the adapter and it brought him a huge satifaction.

On the middle, is a hand stitched zip leather wallet created by my self. I have learnt how to do leather craft during the pandemic of covid 19. I used a folded wallet, but I found the wallet carry quite a lot of extra credit cards, shop’s member card. Which are never be used during hiking and camping, so i decided to make a small wallet just put my id card, ATM card and petty cash. On the right, is a gas can cover and lampshade. It was my first handmade leather goods. Back in the beginning of my camping life, I only used the cover to hide the outlook of the gas can. One day I found the gas can cover fit perfectly as a lampshade with my lamp that I usually bring to camp. Under the aging effect of leather, the colour of the cover will become more dark and glossy. With the use of the cover, like representing my grow in my camper life.

In my opinion, perfect gear does not exist, only have gear that perfectly fit your own preference.
