Sponsorship support helps South Molton to bloom brighter
ENGIE, who now own Condate Biogas, says it’s proud to continue its sponsorship of local community group South Molton in Bloom.
Sue Harrison, founder of South Molton in Bloom, said she’s “over the moon” at the latest donation of £2,000 from the local renewable energy company.
“Community support is vital for us to keep growing and thriving. Generous contributions like the one from ENGIE enable us to expand our flower beds around the town, keeping South Molton blooming with colour and to plan for next year and beyond,” she said.
“It’s local businesses supporting the local community that make South Molton such a special place to live and visit.”
ENGIE, an anaerobic digestion facility just outside South Molton, has been powering the town with renewable energy since 2016. It currently provides enough renewable gas to meet the needs of every home and supplies 40% of the town’s electricity.
Darren Stockley, Operations Managing Director for ENGIE, said “We share very similar values with South Molton in Bloomenvironmentally conscious and focused on the well-being of the residents of the town - so we’re delighted to continue supporting the brilliant work they do.”
H.N. Blackmore & Sons, the South Molton funeral directors, also donated £150.
South Molton in Bloom has won the prestigious RHS Gold Award twice and the coveted Ayre Cup in the South West in Bloom competition.
