New home building careers
Women in the South Molton area are being given the opportunity to join a funded threeweek programme, where they’ll receive training and work experience as a trainee site manager on a local home building site.
The ‘Women into Home Building’ programme aims to encourage more females to consider careers within the industry and address common barriers to entry.
Neil Jefferson, Chief Executive at the Home Building Federation (HBF) says, “Having women in onsite roles expands perspectives, introduces different leadership styles and boosts creativity.”
11 builders around the UK, including Tilia Homes in South Molton, are partnering the programme.

Successful applicants will take part in a week of online training and insight sessions to develop their knowledge of site management. They will then be matched to a local home building site where they will complete a two-week work placement.
Women interested in joining the programme can apply via the HBF website: hbf.co.uk/home-building-skills-partnership/ women-home-building/programme/
