THE
SWEET WILLOW TEAM Katie Sondag Team
PHOTOS BY TYLER ERTZBERGER, CAPTURED BY TYLER
Katie Sondag is a mom and an Army wife who wanted something more. She currently works as a full-time real estate agent, a mentor, and was recently the Qualifying Broker for Keller Williams Alabama Gulf Coast for the last few years. In addition to her busy work life, she also manages to be a loving and involved mom of four boys.
Through all the roles and avenues real estate has taken Sondag, her favorite, and most rewarding, is that of being a mentor to other agents. Success to her takes shape in helping other people realize their dreams and meet their greatest potential. Their goals become her goals, and together they work towards greatness.
“I say that I get immense joy in working alongside a buyer or a seller but even more meaningful for me is mentoring, guiding, and leading other agents,” said Sondag.
Something that sets Sondag apart she says is her attitude and leadership style. “I like to tell people I lead from behind. I want to be the supporting pillars to others and help push them into new places. And to be honest, that is where the whole idea of the team came into fruition for me. I really wanted to figure out a way to take mentoring and help agents to the next level, while combining a team atmosphere filled with support, camaraderie, and accountability.”
Sondag is currently a REALTOR® for Keller Williams Alabama Gulf Coast leading the Sweet Willow Team, consisting of Faith Savage, Chase Farley, Kristi Heller, and the most recent addition, Jay T Loper.
When asked about her leadership style, she explained that she wanted to build the team up by being the support for them. “I wanted to find like-minded,

We really have found the special sauce, if you will, and we are such a dynamic group of hard-working individuals.”
hardworking and motivated people like me, who wanted that support from a more experienced leader to be their right hand man, instead of the other way around,” she explained. “I view my leadership role more like an upsidedown triangle instead of the leading from the top down. It is an obligation and so rewarding to help these agents take their careers from where they started to
where they have the possibilities to really go. I truly believe that we as a team can put together all our talents and strengths to best serve our home buyers, sellers, and investors as a team, rather than as individual agents.”
Sondag said she could sell real estate on her own, but thought it was a lonely way to live and really wanted to help others and be their support. “I just knew in my heart, that working with a team was the exact accountability and motivation I needed to keep me going each and every day. Our career path is tough, but because I know there are four other people counting on me, I get myself up each morning, focus on a positive mindset, and promise to give the team and our clients the best version of me every day. Some days I feel like I am the leader motivating and pushing them, and sometimes they are my leaders, and keeping me motivated. We really have found the special sauce, if you will, and we are such a dynamic group of hardworking individuals,” she added. “I just
thrive on other people’s thriving and their success pushes me to be better.”
Sondag said she spends her spare time with her boys playing baseball and soccer but also going to the beach and traveling with them. “My absolute escape is the beach or going on vacation,” she said. “I do travel a lot even with four kids. I think it’s important to show my kids that there is far more to life than south Alabama.
I love going anywhere that is new and warm and we love water.”
About the Sweet Willow Team Launched in February 2024, the Sweet Willow Team found immediate success. Katie Sondag, Faith Savage and Chase Farley were the original founding members bringing a combination of experience, team work, and hard work to this team.
“We are more than a team; we are a family,” shared Sondag.” We cheer for each other kids in big moments,

support one another during challenging times, and we truly care about each other, and that is what makes me so excited for what is yet to come. The future is big and bright for us and the investors and families we serve. Mobile and Baldwin County haven’t seen the best of us, and we are so ready to see what happens next.”
When asked about each of her teammates, Sondag had the following to say:
“Chase Farley was a just a newly licensed agent with so much fire and hunger when we first met. His lack of experience in real estate, was quickly outshined by his crazy work ethic and intense desire to grind until we succeeded. We immediately clicked, and I remember telling Faith that I think we found our missing piece. Within weeks we were meeting regularly and sprinted towards a launch.”
“Then came Kristi Heller. Fortunately for us, we exploded right out of the gate and added Kristi Heller to our team pretty quickly. She brought a new angle that we needed, and her teaching background brought consistency, a new perspective and a positive attitude. Our team has greatly benefited from her joining us, and she is just getting started.”
“Then last but not least, Jay T Loper, also a newly licensed agent, joined Sweet Willow at the end of 2024. “Jay T brings a background in marketing and a little more testosterone to the mix. We were getting a little heavy on the female side, and that is just weird for me because I live with all boys at home, so he was an easy choice. He is the laid back one of the bunch, and we are lucky to have a true Mobilian as part of our team”

“My first team member was Faith Savage who came to me as a gift I had no idea would bring me so much inspiration, personal growth and drive to do and be more. She is calm and gentle and balanced me out. We support and challenge one another and ultimately became great friends too. Faith is currently a licensed, fulltime transaction coordinator for the Sweet Willow team, and she holds everyone together.”

Jordan
Bodenhamer
Young’s Suncoast Realty & Vacation Rentals

Continuing a Family Legacy
It’s not every day that someone takes the reins of a 50-year legacy, but Jordan Bodenhamer has done just that as the newly named Qualifying Broker for Young’s Suncoast Realty & Vacation Rentals - one of the longest-standing real estate and vacation rental management companies along Alabama’s beautiful Gulf Coast.
A fourth-generation native of Gulf Shores, Bodenhamer knows the rhythms of this coastal community as her deep roots here aren’t just part of her story – they are part of her strength. “I didn’t just grow up in Gulf Shores,” she said. “I grew up watching this town evolve from an insider’s perspective. I understand the real estate market, as well as our short-term vacation rental markets because I’ve lived it. That kind of local insight can’t be taught.”
Bodenhamer began her professional career in the vacation rental industry over two decades ago, and for the last 23 years, she’s been a key player in the operations and growth of Young’s Suncoast. Her transition from real estate agent to Qualifying Broker is a full-circle moment.
“My background in short-term vacation rentals and property management gives me an edge that a lot of agents just don’t have,” she explained. “When an investor asks about rental projections or property performance, I’m not guessing, or speculating, I’m pulling from real numbers, real experience, in-house data, and real-time knowledge of what works in this market.”
Her clients, many of whom are seasoned investors, value her strategic mindset and data-driven approach. Whether it’s identifying high-return investment properties, optimizing short-term rental potential, or managing long-term portfolio growth, Bodenhamer speaks the language of smart investing fluently. At the core of everything she does she is fueled by a drive to deliver exceptional

service, personalized guidance, and unmatched results, which keeps her clients returning again and again.
She’s also deeply committed to helping families and first-time buyers find their footing. “Some of my most rewarding moments have been helping young couples buy their first home or guiding people who’ve never owned rental property through their first investment,” she said. “It’s not just about the transaction; it’s about building relationships that last.”
Balancing leadership with a demanding client base, and doing it all as a fulltime single mom, is no small feat. Her 10-year-old son is her daily motivation and her greatest joy. “Being a mom made me stronger, more focused, and more compassionate,” she said. “He’s the reason I work as hard as I do, the reason I push forward, and the reason I lead with heart.”
Bodenhamer’s story is also one of resilience. Life has handed her setbacks, but she never let them define her. “Success didn’t fall in my lap,” she said. “I fought for it, I sacrificed for it, and I earned every bit of it.”
Today, she’s not just a leader in her company; she’s an industry voice. A Certified Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist, Bodenhamer is a trusted authority on investment strategies, coastal real estate trends, and vacation rental performance. Her insider knowledge and unshakable work ethic have made her a go-to expert for buyers and sellers up and down the Alabama coastline.
And now, as the Qualifying Broker, Bodenhamer’s vision is focused on mentoring the next generation of agents, expanding the company’s reach, and upholding the reputation that Young’s Suncoast Real Estate & Vacation Rentals has spent five decades building.
“This isn’t just about business; it’s about stewardship,” she said. “We’re not just selling homes or booking vacation rentals. We’re helping families create memories, helping investors build legacies, and helping preserve the character of this incredible beach community.”

NOVARE
THE ROOFING PROFESSIONALS - LEWAIRE & WES WAYCASTER
GOING ABOVE & BEYOND THE NORM
BY DAVE DANIELSON
BY STEPHEN HINDS, EYE SKY
Wes Waycaster and his team at Novare: The Roofing Professionals dedicate themselves to going above and beyond the norm. As president of the company, Wes has made it his mission to elevate every aspect of the roofing experience— from communication and transparency to craftsmanship and customer care.
“Novare was born out of a need we saw in the market,” Wes explains. “We wanted to create a company that people could trust—one that delivers a truly high-quality experience from beginning to end. So, we started by taking the top ten complaints about roofing companies and making sure we eliminated every single one.”

Tradition of Excellence
That ambitious goal has become the cornerstone of Novare’s business model, and the results speak for themselves. With a reputation for high-end residential work and a customerfirst approach, Novare has quickly become a go-to name in roofing across the region.
At the heart of the company’s success is a simple yet powerful philosophy: do the job right—and treat people right. “We don’t want to just install another roof,” Wes says. “We want to build lasting relationships. Our goal is to be someone’s roofer for life.”
This commitment shows in every detail of Novare’s process. When a call comes in, a project manager is

assigned to conduct a free, handson inspection. “We actually get up on the roof,” Wes says. “You can’t tell if there’s spongy decking from the ground or a drone. You’ve got to feel it underfoot to know what you’re working with. We believe in giving clients comprehensive solutions—no guessing.”
The team then compiles aerial photography, measurements, and inspection data into a detailed, line-by-line estimate. “We know down to the last nail what it’s going to take,” Wes notes. “It’s all about precision and transparency.”
Technology plays a major role in the Novare experience. “We’re a tech-forward company,” Wes says proudly. “We use tools like CompanyCam, which allows us to send clients a live-updating link with 275 to 500 photos of their roof installation as it’s happening. For clients who are out of town or out of state, it’s a game-changer.”
That emphasis on communication and visibility extends to every project. “We have project managers on every job, start to finish,” he adds. “They’re there to represent our standards and
make sure everything is done right the first time.”
Of course, roofing isn’t just about shingles and decking—it’s about trust. And that’s something Wes and his wife, LeWaire, take seriously. As the owner of the company, LeWaire leads the insurance and sales side of the business, while Wes oversees production. Together, they’ve built a dynamic and dedicated

“We care about the quality of their roof, their home, and their experience. That’s what sets us apart. It’s never just a roof.”

team of five salespeople and three full-time roofing crews.
“We specialize in higher-end residential roofing,” Wes explains. “Our clients expect a certain level of service and quality, and that’s what we deliver—every time.”
Family Highlights
The Waycaster family’s work ethic and customer-centric values are woven into every part of the business. At home, Wes and LeWaire are raising two children: 15-year-old daughter Matti Hamlin, an avid volleyball player who keeps the family on the road for tournaments, and 8-year-old son Harrison, who shares his dad’s love for hunting and fishing.
“We’re a close family, and that’s the same feeling we try to bring to our clients,” Wes says. “We don’t want to just do business—we want to create raving fans. When someone recommends us, we want them to feel 100% confident that we’ll take care of their
friends and family the same way we took care of them.”
That mindset has helped Novare earn more than just satisfied customers—it’s built a community of loyal advocates.
“We love serving people,” Wes says. “We truly believe that’s what we’re called to do.”
And it’s clear that for Wes Waycaster, roofing is more than a job—it’s a calling. From meticulous inspections to hightech updates and old-fashioned customer service, Novare Roofing is redefining what it means to be a contractor you can count on.
“In the end,” Wes says with a smile, “we just want people to know we care. We care about the quality of their roof, their home, and their experience. That’s what sets us apart. It’s never just a roof.”

BY
HeatherHoven

“When my mom remarried, they were supporting five children. We didn’t have a lot of extra money and I liked having my own paycheck, with nobody telling me how to spend it.” she said.
A well-rounded student, Hoven graduated with a sharp focus on her future at a young age.
“I wanted to be a hair stylist probably as soon as I was old enough to talk and always experimented with my family’s hair. Thank God nobody ever let me cut hair as a kid, but I wanted to style for as long as I can remember.” Heather said.
Hoven attended cosmetology school and then went to work in the local area; developing superb interpersonal skills that served her well, later on in real estate.
“I left Bishop State, making lifelong friends there. My first job was at Reflections and then Gayfers Hair Salon, where I rented a booth in West Mobile. That became my home with my largest clientele base. No matter where I went afterwards, they all followed me, and I always tried to stay in that area for them.” Hoven said.
Light Another Flame
July’s Mobile Bay Real Producer’s Rising Star for the month of July, Heather Hoven with Keller Williams Mobile, was born in Tuscaloosa but moved to Saraland at the tender age of ten to plant roots locally.
“I attended Satsuma High School, was on the dance line with the band and loved it. We were a dedicated group working together towards a common goal and often won many of our competitions. It
was really cool to take our awards back to school.” Hoven said.
Heather developed a strong work ethic at a young age, enrolling in work-study during her junior year.
As a natural progression, Heather eventually started her own salon with business partners. Soon after, she realized that her primary passion was serving her customers as opposed to running a company
“I opened a salon with partners, and we were immediately successful. I liked creating ideas to make
the business profitable, but didn’t like the management side and so eventually stepped away and went to work independently again in another salon.” she said.
Hoven attributes the interpersonal skills she mastered during her work as a stylist as part of the bedrock that propelled her current career as a Realtor into the stratosphere she enjoys today.
“I learned to read the room, study body language and can typically tell when someone’s uncomfortable. As a stylist, you become a good listener and gain a lot of

patience when working with the public, and often never know why people might be acting out. You are often a customer’s confidant.” Heather said.
Hoven’s preliminary disruption in the salon industry was unexpectedly forced upon her by the onset of a worldwide pandemic.
“In 2020, COVID-19 happened, and they sent hairstylists home because we were considered nonessential. That was probably the first time in my life anybody ever said that to me. We were home for six weeks and it felt like I abandoned everyone.” Hoven said.
Even after returning back to brick-and-mortar, Heather felt a palpable change in her environment that irreparably changed her work life.
“The whole world was different. Clients had a lot of fear about getting
sick and suddenly I felt claustrophobic. At that point, I realized that maybe it was time for a change and my husband, Michael Hoven, was very supportive.” she said.
Heather also credits her husband as an influence when pivoting into a new profession, combined with an innate interest in real estate.
“Michael loves real estate; he is always looking at listings and showing me properties. I also always felt (in the back of my mind) that becoming a Realtor was a natural progression if working at a hair salon became too physically demanding.” Hoven said.
True to form, Heather did thorough research and selected Keller Williams as the best fit for her transition. The change was not without personal challenges at the time.
“The week when I was scheduled to take my exam, both of my parents

I don’t have any fear of market shifts, because my faith is above the market.”
had contracted COVID. My father-in-law also had passed away and I was planning the funeral. Somehow, miraculously, I passed.” Heather said.
Fast forward to today and Heather is currently tracking at a 50% higher sales volume in 2025 versus 2024. That production is piled on top of a previous year which witnessed a 190% leap over her initial year of strong production. Heather attributes the eye-popping success to an established client base and her strong Christian faith.
“God gave me opportunity to help. He’s done that and will continue to do that. I don’t have any fear of market shifts, because my faith is above the market.” Heather said.
“This job has allowed me to be able to see a need and to step in and fix it for my clients. I also like helping new agents see their possibility, learn the business and learn people skills. To paraphrase Eleanor Roosevelt, it doesn’t hurt my flame to light another’s candle. We’re supposed to lift each other up, and they’ll remember. Whenever I give to others selflessly, God gives it back to me tenfold.” she concluded.
FAQ

Welcome to Real Producers! Some of you may be wondering what this publication is all about, which is why we have created this FAQ page. Here, we will answer the most commonly asked questions from around the country regarding our program. My door is always open to discuss anything regarding this community — this publication is 100% designed to be your voice!
Q: WHO RECEIVES THIS MAGAZINE?
A: The top 300 agents in the Mobile Bay Area. We pulled the MLS numbers (by volume) from Jan. 1, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2021, in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. We cut the list off at number 300, and the distribution was born. For this year’s list, the minimum production level for our group is $7 million in 2021. The list will reset at the end of 2022 for next year and will continue to update annually.
Q: WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BEING FEATURED IN THIS MAGAZINE?
A: The process is simple. Every feature you see has first been nominated. You can nominate REALTORS®, agents, affiliates, brokers, owners, or even yourself. Office leaders can also nominate real estate agents. We will consider anyone you bring to our attention because we don’t know everyone’s story, and we need your help to learn more.
A nomination currently looks like this: Email us at robert.orso@realproducersmag.com with the subject line “Nomination: (Name of Nominee)” and explain why you are nominating the individual. Maybe the person has an amazing story that we need to tell, or perhaps someone overcame extreme
obstacles, is an exceptional leader, has the best customer service, or gives back to the community in a big way. The next step is an interview with us to ensure a good fit, and then we put the wheels in motion for our writer to conduct an interview and for our photographer to schedule a photo shoot.
Q: WHAT IS THE COST TO FEATURE A REALTOR®, AGENT, OR TEAM?
A: Zero, zilch, zippo, nada, nil. The feature costs nothing, my friends, so nominate away! We are not a pay-to-play model. We share real stories of Real Producers.
Q: WHO ARE THE PREFERRED PARTNERS?
A: Anyone listed as a preferred partner in the front of the magazine is a part of this community and will have an ad in every issue of the magazine, attend our quarterly events, and be a part of our online community. We don’t just find these businesses off the street, nor do we work with all businesses that approach us. One or many of you have recommended every preferred partner you see in this publication. We won’t even meet with a business that you have not vetted and stamped for approval, in a sense. Our goal is to create a powerhouse network for the REALTORS® and agents in the area and for the best affiliates so we can grow stronger together.
Q: HOW CAN I RECOMMEND A PREFERRED PARTNER?
A: If you have a recommendation for a local business that works with top real estate agents, please let us know. Send an email to robert.orso@ realproducersmag.com.
