NIGERIA
THE GAIYA FAMILY

28% of Africa is still unreached with the Gospel.
Nigeria celebrates her 64th birthday on 1st October. Pray for the President and those in authority that they would rule wisely in the fear of God and have the people’s interest at heart.
Pray for the Gaiya family as they continue with the work God has called them to. Be assured that your prayers are making a difference in their lives. Pray for spiritual encouragements at ACTS (Pamela), in the church (Musa), and in school (Gracie).
Pray much for ACTS during the harsh economic climate. Things are diffcult and buying books is not a priority for people. Pray for faithfulness and a spirit of perseverance in the staff at the HQ and in all 21 ACTS branches. Pray that the Management would know the Lord’s guidance, wisdom and strength, as they lead the work.

Mark is currently on home assignment in the UK. Whilst home, he has been able to visit a good number of supporters, both churches and individuals. Pray that they will continue to become more involved in the Mission. Pray that this time of furlough will be a time of refreshing for him and that he will be ready to return to Nigeria in early 2025.
Pray that a suitable programme can be arranged with new and existing partners. Mark hopes to be able to become more involved with churches in other locations. Please pray that it will be possible to obtain a new work permit for this.
Pray for Mark as he spends seven weeks in India visiting students, that he taught previously. This involves
much travel within India and the need to acquire a visa for a ‘protected area’ that can only be obtained after he arrives in Delhi.
In Nigeria, outreach in local villages continues around the college. Students have again started weekend programmes and many villagers come to these. Please pray for more souls to be saved and for new converts to be placed in effective discipleship groups.
The work to complete the block consisting of four classrooms and also the toilet block is now done. Ideally the school in Ochaja will need another block of four more rooms as there are six school years. Pray for the funding of these.
