ANNOUNCEMENTS & EVENTS

We invite you to join with us on Saturday 8th November at Newtownbreda Baptist Church for MA’s Prayer Morning. Come along for 10am to have tea, coffee and treats together before beginning at 10:30am.

A light lunch will be provided afterwards and we would love for you to stay. If you do plan to stay for lunch, please could you let us know by emailing news@missionafrica.org.uk

Our monthly Zoom prayer meeting takes place on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7pm. You would be most welcome to join us.

Take time to remember the Lord’s command and ask Him to send people to reach the unreached.

“Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest feld.“

GENERAL

Mission Africa’s Prayer Morning will be taking place on 8th November. Pray for the offce team as they plan and prepare for this event. Pray that God would be stirring the hearts of those who attend.

Revd Dr Samuel Ebukiba from the United Evangelical Church in Nigeria will be joining on the 8th. Pray that his visa will be granted and he will be able to travel on the 6th. Pray for wisdom as he prepares to share about church partnership.

CHAD

Morrison Family - Pray for David and Lucy as they begin to make plans and organise TEAM’S Annual Conference. This is additional work for them as the original organisers have had to return to the States suddenly.

NIGERIA

Pray that the conference would be an encouragement to those who will attend as well as those who have been forced to return to the States; pray that they would hopefully be able to join online.

The business course will be running at Acacia over the next month. Pray for Amy to be calm and happy during teaching times at the centre and that the course would be useful and effective for the women who attend.

Ekanem Family - Pray for Godwin as he speaks at a marriage seminar today (6th). Missionaries of the UEC Church will be holding their Annual Retreat from 6th-9th in Lagos. Pray that this would be a refreshing time for all who attend.

Pray for Gail as she fnishes her courses for the term at William Wheatley Theological College. Continue to pray for the Kids’ Club on Saturdays, and all the preparations needed towards the Christmas gifts for the various outreaches.

Continue to pray for grace and peace for Angel, that she is able to keep up with all that’s expected of her in Secondary School. The Ekanem’s thank God for a good start to the school term.

Janet Martin - Janet is currently in the process of applying for an extension on her visa. Pray for a sense of peace as she navigates this tricky situation. Pray that her new visa will be granted soon and without any issues.

Ask the Lord to grant Janet wisdom, strength and energy as she continues to build relationships with people across the various aspects of the hospital, school, college of nursing and local church.

Child SponsorshipGive thanks that the child sponsorship programme in Ogugu is thriving. Pray for Debbie and Innocent as they begin to plan for the Christmas celebrations; it’s always a very busy time of the year.

Mark Nixon - Join Mark in praying that God would continue to help him to prepare for the many opportunities he has to proclaim the Gospel to the local people.

Remember PACT (Peter Achimugu College of Theology) as they are currently struggling to recruit students and so have limited income to be able to pay the bills and staff salaries.

Pray for wisdom and discernment for the students who are currently studying at the college, as they are trained in God’s Word and counselled to become effective pastors.

Ibia Family - Pray for Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS) and their work across the nation of Nigeria. Pray that the lives of the young people who are reached will be transformed by the Gospel.

Pray for the Lifeskills Training that is coming up on the 18th November for 5 days. Pray for the participants who will be attending; that this training will really change and impact them.

Give thanks for the FCS Council Meeting that took place at the beginning of November. Lots of decisions were made and it is our prayer that these changes will drive the ministry forward but will also be God glorifying.

IVORY COAST

November is a busy yet fun-flled month for Gracie; including a talent evening; pancake breakfast; carnival dinner; craft fair, and her 16th birthday to celebrate. Pray for the Lord’s gracious and guiding hand over Gracie’s life.

BURKINA

FASO

Schools are back and preparations are being made to run this year’s After School Bible clubs. Jeremy asks that you would pray for people to run them and permission to be granted in places where people have moved on.

Ana Van Brakel - Give thanks for a good start to the academic year. It has been unexpectedly busy with both of her modules’ following on from each other. Both subjects went well and the feedback from the students has been good.

Gaiya Family - This is a busy month of Board meetings for the Gaiya’s. Hillcrest Board meets 20th & 21st and the ACTS Board meets on 25th. Weighty matters are on both agendas. Pray for the Lord’s presence as He guides and directs.

Continue to pray for the security situation to improve in Burkina Faso, especially as some schools begin to reopen and some families return to villages from which they originally fed.

Ana asks that you continue to pray for the elections. Where Ana is located has been peaceful however, it has meant that she has not been able to go to A’jan for the fnal arrangements of the visa as travelling is not advised.

KENYA

Pray for Rachel and Sarah; two medical electives currently serving in Kenya. Give thanks for the 6 weeks they’ve spent in the hospitals and for those they’ve served. Continue to pray for them as they travel home on 30th Nov.

Pray for the Beloved Daughter’s Home in Kenya as they are currently dealing with issues from government offcers. Pray for wisdom and strength for Beatrice as she deals with this added pressure.

Robbie Toop - Give thanks for opportunities which Robbie had to speak at churches and meetings throughout November to share about the work of Mission Africa. Pray for those who have shown interest in getting involved.

GENERAL

We have now launched Come See Go Tell 2026 and the teams are now live on our website. Pray for Elaine as she organises and makes plans for the teams and pray for all those who God will call to serve Him next summer.

Continue to pray for Debbie Simpson who has recently joined our staff team as our Child Sponsorship Coordinator. Pray that she will begin to feel at home within the Mission Africa offce.

This month, we also welcome Camillo Romero to our staff team. Camillo will be working part time as our Social Media Assistant. Pray for him as joins at the beginning of November and adjusts to this new role.

Pray for the Board of Mission Africa, that as they look to the future of the mission, God would be in the centre of all their plans. Pray for wisdom in all the decisions that they need to make.

‘Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.’
